Love your grocery hauls! We buy as much organic as we can too but it’s just getting far too expensive 😢 please do more grocery hauls in the future 😃

I've always gone with the rule of buying the best you can afford , you're doing great and it's lovely to see you vlogging again

So true! And also it’s better to get less good quality stuff than loads of rubbish stuff.

Absolutely, I find proper foods fill children up better aswell so they aren't constantly in the biscuits

Honestly Alexandra you are amazing! How you feed a family of 11 on such a low amount is brilliant. I can only imagine how busy your evenings are when you cook all these meals, but I would love to see some of the meals cooked and served, in particular your salmon meal sounds really delicious, so I hope you are able to film this. Also, what do you all eat for lunch? XX

A tip: buy large bags of lentils, beans, legumes and pulses from Asian / Indian supermarkets and not from the main supermarkets! They are cheap, last for ages and are highly nutritious and versatile.

So very true!! I used to buy dried goods in bulk, we just don’t have much storage space for that type of thing, I need to sort my life out and move things around a bit so I can bulk buy again 😁

      I would prefer organic..

@@lukuma79 lots of people buy both organic and non-organic, but you don’t have to take my advice if you only ever buy 100% organic! In fact you don’t have to take my advice at all if you don’t want to!
I’m sure it gets difficult feeding large families, and this is a healthy solution. People often overlook these staples and don’t include them in their diets not realising how ridiculously cheap they are. You might be privileged and not be living in poverty, but so families are struggling - I’m thinking of them when I’m sharing my tips, not the privileged.

You did very well :). Some of the meals sound lovely. I wish you were local I have an abundance of plums and I will never be able to process them all

Have you tried the Daylesford non - homogenised milk ? its so good just like the milk man milk from back in the day, where the cream rises to the top, id say its second best to raw, and it freezes well. Daylesford have their own website that you can order from that im obsessed with haha. I think thats a really good price for your shopping. Oh and that smash I got in my haul was gross 🤢 had it with stew tonight, I even added milk and butter but there was no making that nice 🤣

Yes, that milk is good, I'm just on a really tight budget at the mo.
Such a shame the Smash was gross! xx

I LOVE your grocery hauls!!! I love seeing what you buy, and you have different names for things like "chips" for fries. I like that! I am watching from Arkansas in the USA. ♥ 225 pounds is about $287 US dollars. Just as you said in this day and age, and unfortunately, I might add, that is reasonable. It is what it is, and you have a lot of people to feed! Do you still have a garden in your yard? Or do you just have the allotment? My girls and I are learning how to garden. We are doing quite well with it this year. We've had lots of rain this summer.

Thanks! Yes, we do still have our garden as well as the allotment, we've had plenty of rain here as well.

I think it's good as per person, it's 22.50 I bet most smaller families spend. More per person xx
