- The Pittsburgh Penguins are not the team the used to be. Crosby deserves another Stanley Cup so I'm going to rebuild the Penguins until he retires.

I noticed the retirement list is all RNG. You can save on the day of retirement, skip the day, it'll say view list of retirees, and it randomizes every time. I played a Pens franchise and got Syd to retire at 46 this way lol (lots of reloading the save since he kept popping up in the retire list once he hit 44 but it can be done)

malkins still an ok player on his prime he was amazing so its still nice to have him, even if he isnt on a line with crosby

Huh. Defensively you don't score because you are playing defensively.
@@basicmeme1040 defensemen are meant to score goals and the Penguins d men hardly do that they have flashes of good games but not consistent enough look at where they are in the standings
@zackbritt7967 defenseman are meant ti defend but yes provide offensive support. Example adam fox or Quinn Hughes. They play good defense but on offense are great moving the puck around to set up lanes for big forwards and goal scorers up front to get off shots or clean up the trash
In my penguins rebuild, Brian Rust became a 89 OVR and put up 100 points
This story reminds me of those long-running teen sitcoms where the series ends after 6-7 years with all the main characters graduating from high school and starting their own lives elsewhere

You do realize later in GM mode the salary cap is much higher than it is today and by % it works out about the same it's usually around 100 to 110M you start mentioning 80 overall D men want 4M

Most unrealistic trade I've seen for a long time. Rust (a good role player) and Ty Smith (probably a bust) + a 2nd and 4th for two of the best young talents in the league? Yh was the computer set to dumb difficulty?

Sid the kid. Playing caulfield on 2nd line after you got him costed you probably more goals! The line chemistry would be +5 and Seth Jarvis Playing 2nd line.. old team. They won't be that good from here on out. They should sell as much as possible and pray dubas can flip.the team in the summer

You should have moved the Crosby line when he was an 83 down to your second line, with their decline you would have wanted the younger guys to get more ice time
It was because of that ice time they stayed at a higher overall. The core survived on stat growth to stay afloat.
