My daughter and I have searched for this song for many years after hearing it at mass. She’s finally found it and it is absolutely magical. Thank you for sharing. ❤️
You can find both songs in the GIA catalog. My contemprary group sings it every Christmas Eve. We only do it once a year as we do other seasonal pieces.
Dear Choir Director: GREAT job on the ennunciations; I could almost understand all the lyrics, better than any non-mic'd videos I have seen. Stunning presentation of this lovely song. I wish that once in my cateer I could have done something as beautiful as what you did here. Blessings to you.
Thank you for posting this!! I have searched high and low for a pretty recording of this FOR YEARS on RUclips/every music app I can find. There are only a handful of recordings I've found and I don't care for any of them. None of them ever sound as beautiful as i hear it in mass.... UNTIL THIS ONE!👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Well done! Thank you so much Wooohoo finally!!
SILENT NIGHT, ÁUSTRIA, AUTORES PADRE JOSEPH MOHR E FRANZ GRUBER, GRANDE OBRA MUSICAL, LINDA INTERPRETAÇÃO E APRESENTAÇÃO. PARABENIZO. ABRAÇOS CORDIAIS.
Lyrics: Cold are the people, winter of life, We tremble in shadows this cold endless night, Frozen in the snow lie roses sleeping, Flowers that will echo the sunrise, Fire of hope is our only warmth, Weary, it's flame will be dying soon. Voice in the distance, call in the night, On wind you enfold us You speak of the light, Gentle on the ear you whisper softly, Rumours of a dawn so embracing, Breathless love awaits darkened souls, Soon will we know of the morning. Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is bright, Round yon Virgin Mother and child, Holy infant so tender and mild, Sleep in heavenly peace, Sleep in heavenly peace. [sung with last verse]: Silent night! Holy night! Shepherds quake at the sight! Glories stream from heaven afar, Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! Christ the Saviour is born! Christ the Saviour is born! Spirit among us, shine like the star, Your light that guides shepherds and kings from afar, Shimmer in the sky so empty, lonely, Rising in the warmth of your Son's love, Star unknowing of night and day, Spirit we wait for your loving Son.
Wonderful performance of such a beautiful song 😍 I'll be leading the Tenors with a solo of the 1st verse then our choir as all joins in... This Saturday 17/12/22 at All Saints church, Merstham, North East Surrey 🎶
Wow! I've never heard this beautiful introduction to "Silent Night" before. I loved this....I'm listening to it on Christmas Eve near Toronto, Ontario, in Canada..The choir was fantastic!
It's not an introduction, it's a separate song called Night of Silence. We sing it every Christmas Eve with our contemporary group. It's the only time we sing it throughout the entire year, along with other seasonal pieces. Each song has 3 verses and they're alternated and super sung with and over each other. It's quite the beautiful piece when heard in person!
