When I saw this movie I was surprised by Gwen’s story being so heavily trans coded and I bawled in the theater when she was confronting her father. This figure, to me, further highlights those trans themes and will be one of the most special figures I own 🏳️⚧️
Deathshead, an original story from Dan and Rich 😂. I defo enjoyed the spiderverse films and nearly got pulled into the “I need those figures” way of thinking.. Though they look good, they don’t fit in the theme within my shelves. Gotta agree with you Dan, the hype sometimes can make us get away with our expectations. The blade cameo got me too! Defo looking forward to some more deadpool film figs. Great stream as always 🙌

You say trailer wolverine but that's Logan's outfit from the bar Wade picked him up from. So there's a whole scene where he's wearing that outfit. Not that I think they should have made that a figure mind you
It's sad but I was struck by the possibility that Pavitr is only the second south Asian character in Marvel Legends, after Ms Marvel, in 10 years and maybe 10 Asian comic figures period and that's if you count the Karma head, Psylocke and there aren't even 10 live-action Asian figures even with Shang-Chi. Might be worse for Latino characters, comic and live-action, making the Robbie Reyes/ Ghost Rider snub sting even more.
I avoided as much as I could and saw DP/W with as fresh of eyes as possible. It was great! Gambit was hi-light for me. I think Ryan Reynolds summed it up. Why talk about the future. Enjoy the present. That is the mantra MCU should adopt. Make great films to enjoy now and the future will take care of itself. Of course he’s Disney’s until he’s 90. I really like every one of the Spider-Verse figures and want them all. Some I’m more excited than others. I personally don’t want to hear about wave two of DP movie even though I want more figures but I want announcements of No Way Home wave two before DP wave two. More Spidey stuff please!
I thought the new Across the Spider Verse figures were for the upcoming 3rd movie, until watching your stream. Wow my memory is bad. I watched and enjoyed Across the Spiderverse, but some of these designs I don’t recollect at all.
Into the Spiderverse Miles Morales was my first every Marvel Legend but I agree with Dan these and the What If live in a funky in-between place. I would love a Pavitr Prabhakar in comic form and an update to Gwen, Spider-Punk, and 2099 comic figures. Really wish This Spider-Punk was Purple-ish but at least they gave us a skin tone unmasked head too.
