The Alsace was supposed to be the successor of the very successful Richelieu-class Battleships. In the game. Richelieu has the reputation of being very hard to kill at long range. However, Alsace does not have Richelieu's long-range guns and tankiness, just like the Lyon, one extra turret doesn't help with the insufficient firepower and having the smallest caliber of main battery guns(380mm guns), you can't damage enemy BBs effectively(unless they show broadside), especially when you are bottom tier, so you go after cruisers and DDs, your AP is punchy enough to slap them in the face.

With the new RR2, this ship is very fun to play. I do actually very good battles with her, just use her like the Richie, flank the enemy and bowtank the shit out of it.
