Tried Aug (Chronowarden) last night. Just because I have not seen much of it. The hero talent "Double-time" allows your "Ebon Might and Prescience to critically strike, extending its duration by 10 seconds". DPS-ing on dummies, and with other players around, my prescience and Ebon Might was up for a good solid minute and could have kept it up longer. This allowed the ability to give ebon might to more players around me. It seems that the critical strike part of the ability gives DOUBLE the stats. Chronowarden Aug in a raid setting could be super good if it sticks like that.
@baroko65 that's interesting. So I tried it again last night. This time it was a shorter duration than my first test. I tried again with the new tier set/mythic items. Reached about...30% crit. Felt better at that point.
In my testing Chrono feels pretty giga rn. the upheaval dot may or may not be tuned properly lmao, it's been throwing up some funny tick numbers under full buffs.
@papascronch also did more testing today. Initial eruption crit extends dot by 10 sec. But you know what else did? The eruption ripple crits after the cast. Looks like the buff timer cap is 24 seconds but won't go any higher.
I wish if anything atleast the evoker tier sets would have more than just shoulders and belt in dragon form. Such cool looking armor you can only admire when out of combat
At the very least they are going to give dracthyr the ability to play other classes and stay in visage form. Doesnt solve dragon form but at least they will be playable for tmog
Visage form would literally make every ability Evokers have look actually fucking stupid, why are people so obsessed with this rather than pushing for Blizz to make more armor to be visable?
Devasration is simple, but pretty satisfying with just the right amount of button and synergy to play around. Preservation is super amazing to me with all the little interractions between spells and the various build possible But augmentation... i understand what they tried to do but it just feel unfinished. There is not the same pay off devastation have, and most of the "intellectual" part of the gameplay depends on your teammates, you don't feel like you are in control of what is going on like preservation does. Anyway I hope they don't let evoker down because this is a great addition to the game imho. Dracthyr are cool, even tho scalies
when i first played augmentation i didnt like it but after playing it if mythics i started to enjoy it, but there was always one thing that bothered me. the talent that increases a friendlies crit and gave them a chance to deal extra damage not being able to increase the duration of your ebon might just fells off. you want to ebonmight into buff and then increase the duration of ebonmight with your breath abilities but the second and a half of buffing with two charges just fells a bit too slow. either they have it increase ebonmight duration or have it be one charge that affects two people instead of 2 charges affecting one each would be a great improvement.
I realize I am a bad player, but how were people getting a 5th (or more) extension on dragon rage? I barely make my 4th. Is this a stats issue (haste?) I am reducing cds on my empowered spells as best I can.
I really dont like how far they pulled back on the tier set bonuses. I totally get that ppl didnt like being forced to play a certain way and especially with certain talents, but they pulled ALL the way back
not really lol. for example, the devastation 4pc reduces eternity surge CD by 5sec and makes it grant essence burst. this means you can essentially drop shattering star completely, and we might end up taking the talent that reduced ES cooldown by 3sec more. with the "causality" this might make eternity surge up every 12-15 sec, this definitely modifies gameplay more than you're acknowledging.
I’m almost glad to see Spacial Paradox on a choice node. It’s in every cookie cutter build and not a single person uses it, so why pick it? Just move it out and away.
I was hoping aug meant we could open other classes to getting a support spec. Like one spec from each of the pure dps changes to support and give them a role that isn’t JUST dps
People like seeing big numbers and topping the damage charts - even though logs show Augs damage properly, people dont FEEL it in game. The outcry from the community would be massive if they shifted specs like Enhancement and Ret into a support spec. For enhancement, its its in their fucking spec name - it would only make sense. But based off the reaction they got from SV going melee(10 years ago mind you) they probably dont wanna mess with the current specs as it would cause way too much backlash.
I wish we could have a choice to stay in human form, let our breath attacks be big dragon heads that pop above your head when you use it. And give us a tank spec with a regular dragon form!
I woud of rather had a full dragon model as the player model since were not getting armor on dracthyr anytime soon anyway. Ill take a glyph that turns me into a dragonriding mount at this point.
When you stop doing every single breath spell. That’s your option. You’re literally playing a dragon, that’s the whole point. When they open up Dracthyr to other classes, they’ll probably have that option since they MIGHT not have breath spells.
@@Yvario Why would you dislike a simple change? I don't see it stopping the dragon aspects and other dragons from wrecking us in visage/humanoid mode to have it matter that much 💀
@@Yvario Yes they probably can, they never clarified about it being impossible. Basically same way the made taurens and trolls paladins, they leave an open book toward many things so they can easily change/retcon and such.

@@nowgodostuffhonestly I thought that was initially what they’re third spec was gonna be, but I’m glad blizzard decided to dabble with a buff spec, gives me hope for bard. But evoker absolutely deserves a tank spec.

Wtb glyph that allows you to stay I visage form

it's only confirmed for future other classes for dracthyr, no?

Aug looks fun and the hero talents make it better
I dont mind the cap to animosity as long as they compensate with other buffs. Will make Dev much less PI dependent.

@@gruuzol6280 you cannot really compare dev to aug... one is a dps and the other is dps/support, they really do not do same things in a party or raid.

Roll an Augmentation evoker or a healer if you want a support spec.
@@maryr4179 how would playing a healer help with a support role? Have 2 healers in the group and one focuses more on damage?
Augmentation evokers are going to stay one of the classes in the M+ meta guaranteed there just too good not to take.

Skip to 10 minutes if you don’t want to have your time wasted.
Revert the animosity nerf and I will continue to main devastation
