Heya chase, I have a recommendation as to how you could set out these videos, so I was thinking you could do all the weapons of the same type to dart with, obviously ultra Greatswords, and then when you finish with time you determine the top 3 best of that weapon type for either pvp, pve or both. Just an idea, thought it might help you put my dude 👌🏻
I was invading in anor londo and realised my katana was almost broken I dropped an ember and planned to black crystal out when the host dropped 6 million souls and just like that my dex build became a quality build
I feel like sharing this info. A 2HR1 into jumping attack is a true combo, 2HR1 into stomp R2 is a roll catch, and if you hit someone with the 2HR2 you can drag another R2 across their body if they're slow to get up to stagger for a free hit
Man I love it when you use Int/Dex weapons, things that require more than just a poise breakpoint to manage. A list in no particular order: Aquamarine Dagger - this one is a big one, I remember you used it once or twice but never more than that, and for something as cool and flashy I think you could really style with it. Friede's Great Scythe - not for the WA, but because I know you can make it look cool with just its unique 2h moveset without spamming that overused move. Crescent Moon Sword - this one is cool because you're already good at using curved swords, but seeing you incorporate a ranged projectile would be super fun. Greatsword of Judgment - similar to Crescent Moon Sword, but you could basically just use it like any greatsword so it's not that interesting. Crystal Sage Rapier - longest rapier in the game and it shares the standard Rapier Stance WA, which is my actual favorite Stance in the game. Straight Sword and Greatsword Stances aren't as cool. Non-Int Weapons I'd like to see more of: Splitleaf Greatsword - it's fucking op and you'd make it even more broken. Astora Greatsword - you once said it was your favorite weapon in the game and it was the first weapon you ever "mained" so it'd be so nice to see it come back, also it's just super unique and scales well with fucking everything; a favorite amongst players everywhere and a gorgeous sword to boot. Black Blade - I've never figured out how to optimally infuse/spec for this weapon, so seeing you break it down and optimize a build and infusions/buffs would be really helpful; also it has a cool unique R2. Chaos Blade - has unique parry frames within the katana class I believe? Seeing a parry god like you figure out the timing and punishing noobs would be really interesting and educational. Darkdrift - has anyone ever landed a Shield Splitter WA with this in the history of man? Pls show me how. Great Machete - bonk. only bonk. Pike - it's shorter than the Lothric Knight Spear and gives no poise, but it just looks so clean... Greatlance - it's a giant lance with a crazy unique moveset and the fully charged Charge WA is a hard knockdown; I remember you did a showcase on it a long time ago and was surprised at how strong and how fun it was, and I'd love for you to revisit it; it's one of my all-time favorite weapons. Dragonslayer Swordspear - this shit has the funkiest hybrid Halberd/Spear moveset that varies when you 1H and 2H it's just a mess but it's beautiful and the thunderbolt WA is dope. Soldering Iron - fucking meme Saint Bident - l o n g p o i n t y d i v i n e Red Hilted Halberd - Perseverance WA allows for some really interesting aggressive chasing poking playstyles; would be interested in seeing you adapt to this. Shit I wanna see you bleed with that's usually kind of hard to bleed with: Morning Star - bleed Spiked Mace - b l e e d Flamberge - B L E E D Katanas - if you can... I've never seen anyone bleed from a katana, it's so lame. Except from Frayed Blade WA R2 Omnislash, but even then Frayed Blade has too much going on. I don't even want the bleed, I'm mostly just here for the innate Dark damage when I'm using Frayed Blade. Overall, katana innate bleed values have always seemed kinda useless and out of place to me. Shit I never wanna see ever because wtf: Ghru shit - wtf gross Claws - wtf short Gargoyle weapons - wtf no tail axe 0/10 Clubs - wtf wooden weapons Boring Vanilla Straight Swords - wtf R1 spam Tailbones - wtf tails but no tail axe? -10/10 Parrying Dagger - ...okay I kinda wanna see this for the memes That ended up being longer than I expected it to be when I started typing it but here we are. That's my full list. Glad to see the weapon showcase coming back! As much as I love your regular invasion vids, it's always nice to have some variety to spice it up. I'm excited to see this series return. Keep it up Chase!
I use it as well. It even has extra damage of the R2WA for some reason. Also, that bleed catches people by surprise. So many times the host randomly dies from the bleed when I least expect it.
Id love to see you do the rose of ariandel. Its a great strength faith weapon that has the moveset of a club but its unparryable and can cast miracles. If you want to poisecast you can offhand a talisman for that. Its weapon art also boosts miracle damage by a sizable amount. This is a little gimiky but i like to dual wield it with a golden ritual spear because some sorceries combo into miracles.
The thing is with videos like these is that weapons never just function on their own. They have entire set ups that allow them to flourish - like the Murakumo + Hand Axe, or Four Pronged Plow with Mace back up, or Reinforced Club, BK shield and Caestus Perseverance tech. I would love to see you fit these weapons into an actual build. For example, BKGS pairs well with a back up Valorheart, or an estoc in the left hand.
The other thing is if you are going to use Poise weapons, could you explain which Poise breakpoint you're hitting and why? I think a lot of people don't know how poise works in this game and you're a person that a lot of people will listen to.
Pleaaase actually do every weapon. I love to PvP with interesting layouts, and this would help me get creative and know how to use what weapons. Alllssso, if they don't do so well, you could do double weapon eps, such as claymore and bastard sword
@ChaseTheBro there is a cool/ useful mechanic with rolling attacks that work very well specifically with ultra greatswords. After you roll, there is a window of about 0.3 seconds where you can delay pushing R1, which will also delay the rolling attack. It's a very good switch-up to throw opponents timing off. Again this will work with all weapons, but is particularly useful for ultra greatswords. As long as you push R1 before the rolling animation has "finished", and by that I mean your character is back standing up straight, you can push out a rolling attack.
I don’t know if you’ll see this but I love watching your content and I watch it even more since my ps4 just recently broke and thank you for the great vids and keep it up
This was my favorite sword in DS1. Here to see how viable it is in this game for my first playthrough. I was lucky enough to get it off the first black knight.
The Fume Ultragreatsword would be nice to see, it doesn't have much use since the normal Greatsword is just better but I always liked the way it looks, btw nice video and keep the good work!
Great to see the old chase coming back before Elden Ring, it would be great to see you use a big boi weapon like Morne's Great Hammer. I only see this weapon on overleveled poise monsters so it would be cool to see you optimise it in the meta
Black knight weapons were the first build I had any success at pvp with. Shame he didn’t land a one handed R2, it does insane damage if you catch them coming at you with it. Would like to see the drang hammers with strength faith build.
Chase you should try dual wield combinations like GS + Estoc (or Rapier if you want to parry), UGS + Reinforced Club, or something with an offhand Hand Axe or even actually using the Caestus for punching. Edit: btw use Aquamarine dagger or riot
Hey Chase! I'm a pretty new sub but I've been just guzzling your content recently lmao Ive been on a souls kick! Anyways, I would love to see a weapon showcase on Friedes, I love that weapon to death. I'm sure you already know, but the 2H light can combo into an R2 for some more damage! Anyways love the content and keep up the good work!
Excited for this new series! I was wondering if you could do a stream where you run through the game, but you can only progress to the next area if you invade 5 people? I know it could be time-consuming, but it's just an idea.
i am aware there is a double clip in there... youtube is editing it out as we speak. idk how that happened lmao
Lol that's the second time XD

I`d personally love to see the Greatsword of Judgement.
That used to be my weapon when I played alot
Same!! :)
I like it as well!
Black Knight Sword! The classic! The Lil Brother! THE LEGEND!!!
Poise boys.. Poise
Hey Chase, I was really into you being the honorable one and giving your opponents props!
Id like to see the Greataxe, 2h with the weapon art and charges heavy. It gives a surprising range of different attacks and timings
the noise you made at 6:07 had me in tears
Valor heart!!!
Feels like old Chase

Should start doing it 😁
Gotta ask to see the flamberge showcased. I use it on most of my builds.
Critical Cole same. If I ever get a flamberge drop in the undead settlement, chances are I’m gonna use it throughout the playthrough.
It's literally a better claymore. Lighter does more damage and has bleed with same move set and range
Yup, I'd love to see Chase use it as well.
I use it as well. It even has extra damage of the R2WA for some reason. Also, that bleed catches people by surprise. So many times the host randomly dies from the bleed when I least expect it.
Triforce Hub It’s a decent weapon to build around. Good luck with item discovery.

The mail breaker is pretty good even without riposting. The wa combos into a second wa, it’s like a corvian knife without the range
2:32 I think most of people watching this on pc checked steam after this.
Already said this in the Discord, but Dragonslayer Spear/Carthus Curved (great)sword, all weapons you don't see ever basically.
If this sword is plus 5 it is a beast.

Black Knight Great Axe? You know love it Chase ;)

chase show a few deaths too and tell us how you went wrong, that would make a perfect addition to a weapons showcase
