    Be still, my soul: the Lord is on thy side;
    bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
    leave to thy God to order and provide;
    in ev'ry change He faithful will remain.
    Be still, my soul: thy best, thy heav'nly Friend
    thro' thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
    Be still, my soul: thy God doth undertake
    to guide the future as He has the past.
    Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake;
    all now mysterious shall be bright at last.
    Be still, my soul: the waves and winds still know
    His voice, who ruled them while He dwelt below.
    Be still, my soul: when dearest friends depart,
    and all is darkened in the veil of tears,
    then shalt thou better know His love, His heart,
    who comes to soothe thy sorrow and thy fears.
    Be still, my soul: thy Jesus can repay
    from His own fullness all He takes away.
    Be still, my soul: the hour is hast'ning on
    when we shall be forever with the Lord,
    when disappointment, grief, and fear are gone,
    sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored.
    Be still, my soul: when change and tears are past,
    all safe and blessed we shall meet at last

      Pharisee style rules. Try to back that claim up with scripture: For sure a part of songs, hymns and psalms also are praise of God, but it also always has been a comfort for the participants and the listeners, as it is today. Just read some of the King David Psalms: They for sure were as much intended to be a comfort for him and his congregation too!

      @@AvaNoe That verse is not talking about worship music and for who it should be aimed and neither do the context at all. Stop reading and using verses from scriptures taking out of context to promote your Pharisee rules! Stop reading and using the Bible, as the devil do! By the way, to accuse others unduly is the true meaning of being profane in the Bible, I can tell you: To accuse me for seeking pleasure in the world, because I do not agree in your Pharisee rule for worship music is literally profane, and that is great wickedness before God, I just kindly wants to remind you! Maybe you should look up some of those verses in the Bible, now you are at it!

      I agree with Mr. Perez, but the moral law of God is written on the heart of every man, so we are without excuse. Salvation is not by the Law but by Faith, even in the Old Testament. "And Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness."

      Why don't people read the Bible anymore? If you have some issues, that makes it a challenge for you to read the Bible through from one end to another, you can find numerous ways to listen to the KJV read by many even very good narrators too. I personally do that and is now on my third listen through the Bible in just half a year, because it is a challenge for me to read for long hours now. And I say this because if you had read through a single of 5 books of Moses, that opens the Bible and introduces the Mosaic Law for the Jews, you would never have had that question at all. Read the Bible!

    Would love to see a video answering this question! Why does Daniel 11:9 in the KJV version say
    “So the king of the south shall come into his kingdom, and shall return into his own land”
    Dan 11:9 KJV
    But all other translations say
    Then [n]the latter will enter the realm of the king of the South, but will return to his own land. Dan 11:9 NASB
    Those are two completely different directions did the king of the North go South or did the king of the South go North?
    Would love to get an answer it’s killing me which Bible translation is right what actually happened in history!

    • @Kojow7
      @Kojow7 3 года назад +1

      First of all, why are you asking here? Does this have something to do with the song? As for which translation is correct, it is not quite as simple. The original Hebrew text basically did not have punctuation or verses like we have now. In most cases this is not a problem as the context indicates what is being talked about. There are some verses, however, where it is difficult to determine who or what is being referred to. In the original Hebrew, Daniel 11:9 basically says: "And shall come". It is referring to who was being referred to previously. But whether that is the King of the North (as mentioned in verse 8) or the person rising up in verse 7.
      My interpretation of this passage (and I am not an expert) is as follows: 1) In verse 6 it refers to the daughter of the King of the South. 2) In verse 6, we see an agreement is made between the South and the North 3) We also see she loses her power and he loses his power (I tend to think "he" refers to the King of the North, but am not completely sure) 4) In verse 7 we see someone rising up who is a relative of the daughter of the King of the South 5) This person will go to the Kingdom of the North and win against it. It is possible that he is fighting against usurpers, but we do not have all the details. It's possible that he now rules the Northern Kingdom and says he continues for more years than the King of the North did. When comparing later verses it seems like he has taken over the title "the King of the North" 6) It is this person that I believe verse 9 is also talking about. 7) Therefore, I believe that the NASB here lines up more with the original Hebrew structure.
      With that said, this person that rises up in verse 7, while he is a relative of the daughter of the King, we don't know exactly where he rose up from. It's possible he could have come from any four of the directions that the kingdom was divided into (verse 4), but based on the later verses it sounds like this person is referred to as "the King of the North" which is a different person from the King of the North mentioned in verse 6.
      Just my thoughts on this passage. There are a lot of details that we don't know, so have to try to fill in the blanks with guess work as best as we can. Just keep in mind that any guesses that anyone would make on this or similar passages are not set in stone and we should not dogmatically hold to a specific view based on those guesses.

      The true answer is, KJV is always right and the new versions based on the Critical Text, which again is based on basically TWO complete manuscripts, both from Gnostic sources (one from the Vatican Library, called Vaticanus, the other from a Catholic Monastery outside Alexandria, the known hideout the Gnostics, called Sinaticus), which they chose to consider better for one reason than the then 5000 complete manuscripts from the area of Antioch, where the first Christian churches were established (these called Textus Receptus or Majority Text, for obvious reason), because they claimed those two manuscripts to be printed on older paper essentially. That by the way has even been drawn into question. Oh, Westcot and Hort basically had the religion of Bethel today, grave soaking, members of a cross-dressing men associations and all! They were absolutely not Christian brethren and hold two corrupt manuscripts from Gnostic sources over the thousands manuscripts from the Jews and the first Christians. Those are the two authors of the Critical Text, by the way with help from the Jesuit Order, the counter-reformation secret society, on which ALL modern translations are based, including also NKJV, by the way. Today the Majority Text is by the way nearer 6000 complete manuscripts and there is not a single incidence of KJV and other Textus Receptus based Bibles being wrong and the new versions of the Bible based on the Critical Text right. Not one! And I have looked for years! Essentially, I have had a habit for years listening to online sermons online daily, hundreds upon hundreds of sermons, and I read along in KJV online and also used Bible Study Tools comparison site, and the new corrupt Bibles are always wrong. We also can use tools like Strong's Concordion today, and guess what, also when it comes to these verses mentioned, KJV is a near literal translation, while the new translations can't even get something as simple as a direction straight. Don't even give me that nonsense about punctuation: Both Hebrew and Greek had good words for the four corners of the world and directions! That is just the modern scholar nonsensical excuses, and you got to remember, that most theology teachers, professors and scholars literally are either openly professing or hidden atheists. I know that for a certain, because I wanted to study theology here in Denmark, and that is the case! Unbelievers got NOTHING to tell me about my faith, and the Bible is a spiritual discerned book. Robert Breaker and David O'Steen (The Cloud Church and Hope Bible Church GA) both has done very long series here on RUclips, why they stand on preaching and reading KJV only. Look into it. God Bless!
