I need a trip like this in my life. Awesome vibes, lots of fish, good dudes.
Agreed, I would be the solo guy! I have literally no friends who fly fish and live in BFE Iowa!
@@skylernicholas5429 yup, me too, been that guy since 1972, best way to fish. Loved float tubing in my Caddis, the ultimate in "solo-ness"! And I never named a fish, ever, but did my flies: "let's go get' um, you f'ing little Bugger"! ;D LOL
Front seat envy - hilarious. Great guide, laid back and enjoying messing with yah. Looking forward to next week
Ben!!!!! This trip is HUGE! Just beautiful. Thank you for sharing
That’s a Huge trip! Great start to my Monday. Thanks! Looking forward to the rest. Heading to Florida tomorrow. Hopefully see a Tarpon or Snook on my line this week. That would be Huge also! Have a great one Ben! 👍👍🎣
What an amazing amount of action!
Ben, your guide knows what’s up. And you and your buddy are both good casters. I’m used to seeing your instructional videos, or your videos talking about stereotypes, etc. This one was an awesome change of pace.
Awesome video! Can't wait for part 2!
This is part two!
Looks like some great memories made! Now that’s fly fishing with laughs. Haha
Beautiful river great fish nice job. We are rowing the madison today. I doubt I will see any browns as large as the ones you guys are catching.
Awesome video!
Awesome!!
Looked like a fun trip on some beautiful water . Stay Hugh
Looks like the Alumine River in Argentina. Very similar scenery and the size of the fish. Nice trip.
Dave with the BDE, nice.
I wish I could come but I’m poor! 3900 is better than I thought though. I might be interested in the next trip!
Yup, and that's just the gas cost to get there, these days. Think I'll fish the local golf course pond for a while!! ;D
Imens colossus bro!
Happy Huge day everyone !
Nice trip and I love that River👍
What state is it in
@@timothyberry9084
Oregon just above the state line of northern California
@@timothyberry9084 last time I was there was 2008 Ashland Oregon and Medford were amazing. But my last trip to San Francisco I thought it was to at the time. And I love the area a round Mount Shasta in California. Fern Canyon and the Pacific Crest Trail. I could go on and on🤣🤣🤣
@@jimholland1592 Yup, went to college in Arcata (HSU), was my stopping grounds for a few years. Parents lived on the Williamson, near Klamath Falls. Learned to fly fish then/there, also back packed Marble Mountains wilderness, ....................still learning, LOL.
Nice area, still, unlike the rest of the "people's republic", especially the "Shitty by the Bay". ;D LOL
That’s awesome looks just like Smith river
great show but it seems like you like to fish the other guys water ! Haha
Why do the guides handle the fish for the picture? Such as 10:25? Just curious
Nice bobbers, why not just tenkara or even cheaper, use a cane pole?
If I had to guess it's the mo!
Thank you Pedro. Fish says, you ain't effing welcome and my name for you starts with an a and ends with a hole.
Thanks!! :D
Looks like an awesome way to spend some summer days with like minded fish brains... maybe you said this and I missed it. Are you permitted to share the company you booked with? Finally, is there a vest you prefer when rafting?
"NICE DOOO"
This trip didn't look fun AT ALL - one of the best parts of these experiences are meeting new people passionate about the sport. Pretty cool!
My dad has brought his fly rod with him every trip for 10 years and would never use it. After several years of going with a fly fishing guide, finally he agreed to fly fish , my choice of location. Same place the guide took us 3 days before. Tail water river , level way lower than previous. I was worried we were not going to find a place. Finally noticed caddis rising where no one was fishing hmmm 🤔 We caught a bunch of fish. Surprised no other guides were there or came over. Sometimes the wrong place is the right place.
Hey, I'm Ben. I'm a huge dork.
This is classic projection, Corey.
@@HugeFlyFisherman You've got me nailed on that one.
@@coreytohme9861 he rose like a brown to a hopper though!! ;D
@@HugeFlyFisherman Ooooh - good one..!!! :D
call that beer netted brown harry potter. get it? because Butter Beer?
I have no idea where this is. And I'm not guessing....
USA, that's all you get. One of Ben's secret spots. Where he catches small fish, and all his buddies get big ones!! ;D
Hey duuuuude,,,,,,,,
Looks nice and fishy, but Naming Fish is definitely a "gurly man's" activity, right folks! Just cuz Ben does, doesn't mean you should too! ;D LOL
HUUUUGGE!
Yes, everyone's fish, .....but Ben's, ......not so much! ;D
@@ronschlorff7089 he should try tenkara instead!
@@theoutdoordad7395 I think it's his secret guilty pleasure, never recorded though! ;D
Being the boat driver/guide all the time it is really weird letting someone else do everything. It took a few trips before the guide was confident I knew what I was doing. It's understandable I know most people over estimate their ability. . I know how far I can't cast. Not a pro caster. But I mostly listen to what he says. Taking my 80+ year old dad who listens for about an hour. Won't listen to me at all.
Did he just assume that rainbow's gender? I'm offensived.!
Never understand why RUclipsrs find it necessary to keep a river a secret not like anybody owns the river
That’s exactly it. You don’t understand.
Howsabout you tell me your favorite place to fish, I’ll make a video about it and name the spot. I’ll also post about it on Instagram.
All you have to do is take before and after pictures of the parking lot.
@@HugeFlyFisherman I like to fish the eagle river, oh no I shouldn’t have said that now my private 60 mile river is ruined everyone’s buying a plane ticket there and throwing trash in the water
@@tdfmtig Yup, and I fish with a "piece", in plain sight, "for the bears", you know. Keeps other "critters" at a "safe distance", I've noticed since I started doing it, too! ;D lol
It’s the Gunnison with Black Canyon Anglers. You can see their logo on the raft.
@@josephpriestley2554 omg buying a plane ticket there right now to ruin it for them
I’m all about adventures and fishing. But it was a cringe to watch you guys handle these fish that has fought it’s way up to your raft. You guys need to respect these fish with care. Maybe take it back to basic 101 on how to care for them.
Yup, would not let my grandkids watch this vid, for that reason! ;D
