And then in the next breath say “but there’s only ONE Quran” by which they clearly mean the original Arabic.

But in this case "original language texts" would most naturally be interpreted as "the oldest known surviving manuscripts". And from the oldest surviving Qur'an manuscripts and fragments we know for absolute certain that the Qur'an has not been perfectly preserved. It has been *well* preserved, just as the Bible has. the Qur’an was revealed in one style at the beginning, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) kept asking Jibril until he taught him seven styles, all of which were complete. The evidence for that is the hadith of Ibn ‘Abbas who narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “𝗝𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀.”
      (narrated by al-Bukhari, 3047; Muslim, 819)
Secondly, what is meant by styles (ahruf, sing. harf)?
The best of the scholarly opinions concerning what is meant is that there are seven ways of reciting the Qur’an, where the wording may differ but the meaning is the same; if there is a different meaning then it is by way of variations on a theme, not opposing and contradiction.
      Thirdly:
Some of the scholars said that what was meant by ahruf was the dialects of the Arabs, but this is far-fetched, because of the hadeeth of ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab who said: “I heard Hisham ibn Hakeem reciting Surat al-Furqan in a manner different from that in which I used to recite it and the way in which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) taught me to recite it. I was about to argue with him whilst he was praying, but I waited until he finished his prayer, and then I tied his garment around his neck and seized him by it and brought him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, I heard this man reciting Surat-al-Furqan in a way different to the way you taught it to me.’ The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him, ‘‘𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁,’ 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 (𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗯𝗲 𝘂𝗽𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗺) 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, ‘𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.’ 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗲, ‘𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁,’ 𝘀𝗼 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗮𝗶𝗱, ‘𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀.’ 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗿'𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀, 𝘀𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂.”
      (Narrated by al-Bukhari, 2287; Muslim, 818)
It is known that Hisham was Asadi Qurashi (i.e., from the clan of Bani Asad in Quraysh) and ‘Umar was ‘Adawi Qurashi (i.e., from the clan of Bani ‘Adiyy in Quraysh). Both of them were from Quraysh and Quraysh had only one dialect. If the difference in ahruf (styles) had been a difference in dialects, why would two men of Quraysh have been different?
The scholars mentioned nearly forty different opinions concerning this matter! Perhaps the most correct is that which we have mentioned above. And Allah knows best.
      Fourthly:
It seems that the seven styles were revealed with different wordings, as indicated by the hadith of ‘Umar, because ‘Umar’s objection was to the style, not the meaning. The differences between these styles are not the matter of contradiction and opposition, rather they are synonymous, as Ibn Mas’ud said: “It is like one of you saying halumma, aqbil or ta’aal (all different ways of saying ‘Come here’).”
      Fifthly:
With regard to the seven recitations (al-Qira’at al-saba’), this number is not based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, rather it is the ijtihaad of Ibn Mujaahid (may Allah have mercy on him). People thought that al-ahruf al-saba’ (the seven styles) were al-qira’at al-saba’ (the seven recitations) because they happened to be the same number. But this number may have come about coincidentally, or it may have been done deliberately by Ibn Mujahid to match what was narrated about the number of styles (ahruf) being seven. Some people thought that the styles (ahruf) were the recitations, but this is a mistake. No such comment is known among the scholars. The seven recitations are one of the seven styles, and this is the style that ‘Uthman chose for all the Muslims.
      Sixthly:
When ‘Uthman made copies of the Qur’an, he did so according to one style (harf), but he omitted the dots and vowel points so that some other styles could also be accommodated. So the Mus-haf that was copied in his time could be read according to other styles, and whatever styles were accommodated by the Mus-haf of ‘Uthman remained in use, and the styles that could not be accommodated fell into disuse. The people had started to criticize one another for reciting differently, so ‘Uthman united them by giving them one style of the Qur’an.
      Seventhly:
Your saying that Mujahid’s different recitations meant the seven styles (ahruf) is not correct, as was said by Shaykh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah. (Majmoo’ah al-Fatawa, vol. 13, p. 210)
      Eighthly:
The seven readers or reciters were:
      1-Nafi’ al-Madani
      2-Ibn Kathir al-Makki
      3-‘Aasim al-Kufi
      4-Hamzah al-Zayat al-Kufi
      5-Al-Kisa’i al-Kufi
      6-Abu ‘Amr ibn al-‘Ala’ al-Basri
      7-‘Abd-Allah ibn ‘Aamir al-Shami
The ones who have the strongest isnaad in recitation are Nafi’ and ‘Aasim.
The most eloquent are Abu ‘Amr and al-Kisa’i.
Warsh and Qalun narrated from Nafi’.
Hafs and Shu’bah narrated from ‘Aasim.
      And Allah knows best.

if you look at the earliest books dedicated completely to Quranic riwayat, like al Fada'il al Qur'an of Abu Ubayd,
these hadiths of seven ahruf don't exist.
if you read fada'il al quran you would realise how extremely unusual it is for Abu Ubayd to have not included such a hadith especially if it met the standards of bukhari

After the disastrous 'holes in the narrative' incident he threatened to close down all his social media accounts because of the threats he received from other members of the 'religion of piece(s)'. Can you imagine him on a public platform where someone shows his old video of him saying that all qurans are identical to the dot, and then his recent video where he says there are different arabic qurans with different letters and words?

    • @juyeonglee1605
      @juyeonglee1605 Год назад

@@puch9830 5. The Quran was not preserved perfectly.
5-1. You do not have the original Quran, which is a compilation of bark, leaves, leather, and stones that Zayd bin Thabit collected.
5-2. Many people who memorized the Quran died during the war.
5-3. People fought and even killed each other because of different recitations.
5-4. When Zayd compiled the Quran, there were two verses that only one man remembered. But the Quran teaches that you need at least two men for valid testimony.
5-5. Ibn Masud didn't like the Quran which was compiled by Zayd and even said, "It is deceitful."
5-6. Aysha reported that there were more than 200 verses in Surah 33, but now you have only 73 verses.
5-7. Zayd compiled "one" version, but you have "seven" Qiraats and even more versions of the Quran that read and mean differently. Even though you do not believe in any Hadith narration above, this fact can solely disprove the perfect preservation of the Quran because nowhere in the Quran says about dialects.
5-8. If the Quran is preserved by memorization and recitation, shouldn't Zayd, Ibn Masud, or other companions remember the whole Quran without asking other people, without looking for written materials, without disagreeing with each other? Even the closest companions of Muhammad didn't memorize the Quran perfectly.

It took more effort to get Egypt out of the children of Israel than for God to get the children of Israel out of Egypt. These verses are referring back to Egypt where people worshiped these idols made by man. Don't forget the children of Israel did build the ark which had two images of angels. Of course they were not to worship the angels but the glory of God who were between to two angels. Context is most important.
To make it more practical term for today it's very possible a person could actually worship a car made by man's hands more than those in church bending down to a statue of a saint.
I much prefer to stay away from statues altogether simply because people may assume you are worshiping the saints which could be a stumbling block for some.

According to orientalist scholars (meaning non-Muslim scholars) the Quran is absolutely preserved.
In "The Cambridge Companion to the Qur'ān" by Jane Dammen McAuliffe, Angelika Neuwirth says,
"New findings of Quranic text fragments, moreover, can be adduced to affirm rather than call into question the traditional picture of the Quran as an early fixed text composed of the s¯uras we have" (p. 100)
According to Dr. Joseph Lumbard in an interview,
"As more and more manuscripts have become available, we have been able to confirm with greater and greater accuracy, scientifically, as empirically as one can, that the story that the Muslims have of the compilation of the Quran is, for the most part, accurate"
Carl W. Ernst confirms this by saying it is a better explanation of the data that is available to us than any other theory that anyone has proposed.
    William Muir wrote,
"There is probably, in the world, no other work which has remained for twelve centuries with so pure a text."
    Kenneth Cragg wrote,
"The Quran as it stood in Othman's recension omits no significant (information) and includes no extraneous material. The Prophet's death had decisively closed the book."
    John Burton said,
“the text which has come down to us in the form in which it was organized and approved by the Prophet [...]. What we have today in our hands is the Muṣḥaf of Muhammad.”
    Denise Masson,
“Eventually, in spite of these points of debate, we can say that the text presently in our possession contains the criteria of a substantial fidelity.”
And so on and so on. The Quran is actually one of the most attested to books in history. You don't see that because you're brainwashed by Christian apologetics. They're the only ones who claim the Quran isn't preserved. Real scholars confirm it is, both Muslim and non-Muslim.
As for the different ahruf, or modes of the Quran, it's interesting to see how well you misrepresent the information. Let me clear it up for you. Now first of all, there is ONE Quran. This Quran was revealed in 7 different modes (ahruf ) to accommodate different dialects of some of the more prominent Arabs at the time. Furthermore, every single one of these modes can be traced back to the Prophet PBUH himself.
Secondly, these 7 different modes can be used interchangeably, and from these 7, prominent scholars compiled 10 different recitations (qiraat). But anyone with sufficient knowledge can recite with any combination of these 7 different modes.
Thirdly, not a single one of the different modes (which, by extension, includes the recitations) contradicts with another. Rather, they reinforce, support, and/or enrich the reading.
Lastly, Muslims having "14 canonized Arabic Qurans" is an outright lie. Do not conflate our modes and recitations with your wildly different version of the Bible. You're "throwing stones from a glass house" so to speak.
Imam Warsh and Imam Hafs etc did not come up with their own Qurans. Rather, these ahruf, or modes, are traced back to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH. There is plenty of classical Islamic literature on this, and we have authentic reports of the Prophet PBUH affirming this. Rather than just list out a ton of Hadiths that go into this I'll offer a few:
Umar ibn al-Khattab reported: I heard Hisham ibn Hakim reciting the Surat al-Furqan in a way different from how I recited it and how it was taught to me by the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. I was about to argue with him, but then I waited until he finished and I tied his shirt around his neck and took him to the Prophet. I said, “Indeed, I heard this man recite in a way different from what you taught me!” The Prophet said to me, “Bring him to me.” Then, Prophet said to him, “Recite.” He recited and the Prophet said, “As it has been revealed.” Then, the Prophet said to me, “Recite.” I recited and the Prophet said, “As it has been revealed. Verily, the Quran has been revealed in seven dialects. Recite whichever of them you find easy.”
    Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 2287, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 818
Abdullah ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Gabriel, upon him be peace, taught me to recite the Quran in one reading and I requested another. I continued to ask for more until he stopped at seven readings.”
Ibn Shihab said, “It reached me that these seven readings are united in the matter. There is no difference in what they allow and forbid.”
    Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 4705, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 819
This is in stark contrast to the various Bibles, Protestant, Coptic, Orthodox, Catholic, etc, with each Christian group saying their version of the Bible is the true Bible.
And we are already aware that the different readings can contain different wordings. The differences between these styles are not the matter of contradiction and opposition, rather they are synonymous, as Ibn Mas’ood said: “It is like one of you saying halumma, aqbil or ta’aal (all different ways of saying ‘Come here’).” On top of that the verbiage actually enriches the meaning of the Quran, for example in the first chapter one ahruf says malik (king) and another says maalik (owner) in regards to God in relation to the day of judgment. Not only do they not contradict, but they reinforce and enrich the meaning. This applies to the difference that you presented as well. The presence of huwa, or lack thereof, does not negatively affect the meaning of the verse. Rather, it adds another layer of richness. Surely, if you believe that even with the discrepancies in the Bible that the message is still present, then you must likewise believe the difference in this verse of the Quran results in not only the message still being present, but further enriched. And most importantly, every single one of the differences within the ahruf is traced back through authentic sources to the Prophet PBUH. What is most common today is the Qurayshi dialect, which is named after Imam Hafs, but all 7 are valid and authentic readings of the Quran. This isn't an issue, and certainly it is not a contradiction.
The only people your nonsense works on are the ignorant. You're a pathological liar and will stoop down to any level just to belie Islam. Unfortunately for you you only shame yourself.

And like I said, actual Quranic scholars (not anti-Islamic apologists which regurgitate the same misinformation over and over) are in agreement that the Quran is unquestionably preserved. Be they Muslim or non-Muslim scholars of the Quran.

    1) The authors are forged, unknown.
    2) Matthew/Luke didn't consider Mark's Gospel as divine, hence, copied it and changed it.

They are many strong evidences of account attesting to the authorship of the gospel in the early century. Too many to state all. You can choose to believe otherwise. But in the end, as emphasis before your historical narrative is just one view of many hypothesis and theories on what happen in the past.
In his very early work Papias (from the early 2nd century) testified to Matthew authorship: “Matthew compiled the sayings [logia of Christ] in the Hebrew language and each interpreted them as best he could.”
The 2nd century writer Irenaeus who knew Polycarp, a student of the apostles, also testifies that the first Gospel was written by Matthew therefore demonstrating that this Matthaean authorship tradition was strongly attested to and widespread very early on. Irenaeus wrote:“Matthew published his Gospel among the Hebrews...., while Peter and Paul were preaching and founding the church in Rome.”
The early believers and Church Fathers accepted the Gospel accounts as eyewitness documents. In fact, many Church fathers wrote about the Gospels. Papias, when describing the authorship of the Gospel of Mark, said, “Mark, having become the interpreter of Peter, wrote down accurately, though not indeed in order, whatsoever he remembered of the things said or done by Christ.” In addition, Papias, Ireneaus, Origen and Jerome affirmed the authorship of Matthew’s Gospel by the tax collector described in the account, written for the Hebrews in his native dialect and translated as he was able.
The authors of the Gospels also proclaimed their authority as eyewitnesses (or as chroniclers of the eyewitnesses e.g. Luke Chapter 1). While some skeptics have attempted to disassociate the Biblical statements from the Gospel authors to refute the authorship of the Gospels, the earliest believers embraced the traditional authorship of the eyewitnesses (and we can also make good circumstantial cases for the traditional authorship). The Gospel authors (and their sources) repeatedly identified themselves as eyewitnesses:
The Gospel accounts are written as historical narratives. The life of Jesus is intertwined with historical events locating it geographically and historically. The Gospels repeatedly affirmed their own historical, eyewitness nature, mentioning key figures who served to validate the history of Jesus as eyewitnesses:
For example, William Ramsey, a British archeologist needed to read every ancient document he could get his hands on in preparation for a long project on the Roman Empire. He was initially skeptical of the usefulness of the Bible, but his field work changed his mind. In 1895 he reported that he had found Luke (also author of the book of Acts) absolutely reliable in the details of geography and structure of the various political units he described.
MATTHEW- (A.D. 37) Written by a Jew, to Jews about a Jew. Matthew is a transitional book forming a natural bridge between the Old and New Testament. If you placed any other of the gospels ahead of Matthew, the loss of continuity and clarity would be immediately apparent. This piece of the puzzle portrays Jesus Christ as the long-awaited Messiah, ‘the son of David,’ the Heir of Israel’s Throne; Christ the King (Matt. 2:2. In the book of Matthew, Christ is offering the long-awaited prophesied Kingdom (Isa.9:6-7) to the Nation Israel (Matt. 4:17 & 10:5-7). The unique term “Kingdom of Heaven” is found in Matthew 32 times and nowhere else in the New Testament. Everything in this particular gospel contributes to this central theme, the King and His Kingdom. 56% percent of Matthew’s material is in common with other gospels, while 44% is unique. Matthew has 23,684 words (KJV).
MARK- (A.D. 57-63) Mark’s gospel describes Christ as the Divine Servant who has come to serve and suffer (Mark 10:45 & Isa. 42:1), Jesus’ ministry of obedience to His Father’s will. Everything in the second gospel brings out a faithful servant’s characteristics-the percentage of material in common with other gospels is 93% and 7% unique. The shortest of the gospels 15,166 words.
LUKE- (A.D. 58-60) Luke portrays Jesus as the “Son of man” (Luke 19:10), emphasizing the humanity of the Saviour, presenting Him as the perfect, sinless man. 42% in common 58% unique. Longest of the gospels containing 25,939 words.
JOHN- (A.D. 88-90) The central theme of John’s gospel is the Deity of the Saviour (John 1:1). The fourth gospel declares Jesus as “the Son of God…” the Heavenly One come down to earth. The Son of the Father made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14). Only eight percent of the material in John’s gospel is in common with the other gospels; the remaining ninety-two percent is unique! 8%-92%. John contains 19,094 words.
The four gospels’ differing accounts illustrate that every book of the Bible has a prominent and dominant theme unique to itself. Each book in the Bible has its particular purpose and place. Like the numerous pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, each book must be carefully examined to understand where it fits and how it contributes to the emerging picture. “The Bible has proper divisions, and if you don’t put those divisions in the right places, you end up in the wrong place.” Therefore, we are commanded, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim.2:15).
