    It's interesting how the Morrowind theme became *the* leitmotif for the franchise, three games in.
    Kind of like how "Ezio's Family" from Assassin's Creed 2 became the main theme for that franchise.

    It's worth mentioning that the main 3 rising notes motif is also the foundation of many other tracks. For example, the climax of both Far Horizons and Unbroken Road use a theme derived from this very motif.

      The Lorkhan heart drum cadence appears in Fallout tracks as well, and the main 3 rising notes motif

    Excellent. As always. It’s really cool to see how many times this piece is reprised in the Elder Scrolls. They better get Jeremy Soule to compose The Elder Scrolls: VI’s Soundtrack. He’s literally the ‘Soule’ of the Elder Scrolls!

      I'm kinda happy zur's doing the soundtrack. not that soule makes bad music, quite the opposite, but evidence points to elder scrolls 6 being set in hammerfell or elsewyr, and inon zur's past work can really capture the feel of those areas I think. just look at the fallout soundtracks.

    Nice vid
    Always thought there was a leifmotif in the Elder Scrolls series but I just assumed it was just Bethesda being lazy a reusing old vocals.

    Can you do a video on "One They Fear"? The only other song I can think of that uses it is Dragonborn, but I'm unsure if it's used in more than those two.
    It's one of the two Skyrim dragon fight themes.

    In fairness to Oblivion I never even noticed it had any form of Nerevar Rising in the game at all despite my 3000+ hours in Morrowind and around 200 in Oblivion. Skyrim it was always obvious to me tbf, but I like what Skyrim does to the song

    I'm actually so happy that Nerevar Rising ended up becoming "the Elder Scrolls Theme" for basically every subsequent game in the series, and I'm absolutely looking forward to what TES VI might do with it.

    But hey, Unbroken Road shared a leitmotif with Reign of the Septims. So that's fun.

    It's a shame that you aren't too popular.
    This is actually referring to Bethesda's greatest lore hints and leak;
    It essentially is telling you that, everything connects to the lore based around Indoril Nerevar, and that it is the most important peice of the game;
    And it's a missing peice. If you know the lore on Nerevar, the Fallen God Akhulakhan, and The Disppearence of the Dwarves - You will realize that Bethesda's end game content revolves around the return of an honest King and an unstoppable Warrior; Indoril Saint Nerevar.
    Remember; The Nerevarine is a prophecised being, and Indoril Nerevar, is the one and only true man who ever existed.
    The Nerevarine is a title; given to *YOU* or another. The prophecy is right. But it's being misread.
    😊
