      Love the videos I love fish I have tanks I guess fishing but I can never catch anything but you need to get out of the sun there's times when we can't even see what the fish looks like cuz you're in shade or sun

    Impressive fish knowledge. I really appreciate the details and subtitle with latin reference since vernacular name is very different based on country. You should reference books per region based on your experience, good ones are rare.

    Love your videos boss just visited Florida recently at st. George island and got 4 new species black tip shark, Atlantic sharpnose shark, black drum, and one off my bucket list from the pier a very nice cobia.

    awesome ! i live in miami and i love your videos! I live around north miami and I fish a canal behind my house that has snook and tarpon as well as all the other fresh water fish like peas, mayans, etc.

      I have memorized the name of the species, and I understand the meaning behind the words for most of the time. I took 2 advanced Latin classes in college with a Classics professor, so I can scroll through Latin text and have a general understanding of the topic at hand. But I am not "fluent" in it.

    I love watching these saltwater fishing , just because it’s type of fish I don’t get in my area (freshwater)
    Would multiple hooks give you more chance to catch more then one type of fish at a time ?
    That scrawled cowfish can change color, and their meats is on the inside , they have a hard outer armor

    In your rod holder tube are the reels on the rods as well or are they in a separate bag?

      They are in a separate bag. The reels I keep in my bookbag. The rods go in the tube. I take them on the plane as well.

      It all depends on what you would like to target, Apex. If you are not picky about the species, shrimp, squid, and cutbait all do well.

      I thought about doing that in the past, and decided to add the name in the clips instead of the still shot. That's because the PURPOSE of the 4 seconds still shots is for the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the species; thus, I don't put any other distractions there.

    At 27:40,you tossed that small white fish right down on the rocks and he got hurt because he just laid on his side. Just a foot more and the water was much deeper.
    You did this also with fresh water fish in the Delaware river

      Because my parents LOVE saltwater fishing and Florida fishing. The states from earlier this year I didn't have enough funds to do it. Now the Channel is a little bit more stable, as it has become my full time job. In the future, I plan on hitting others states solo. But as far as my parents are here, I will take them where THEY WANT TO GO.

    You don't comment on our posts much, My Father just moved from WA to FL and I'm wondering how FL compares to San Diego...You didn't do well in SD, its tough, but in FL I see you spotting fish from the bank! How does FL compare to SD?

      Florida is shallow and full of different species. From goliath grouper to the micros, we have the most diverse, and thrilling if you ask me, nearshore saltwater in North America.

      San Diego was tough indeed, brother. It was hard finding the species here and there. Lots of them were vegetarian too, like the Opaleye and Zebra Sea Perch. 😬 Florida is a whole different deal, like Finnafish described. Lots and lots of different species can be sight fished!
