The MOST DANGEROUS Fishing Spot in Florida!!! Tamiami Trail Bass, Snook, Tarpon Fishing

- I fished one of the world's most dangerous fishing spots known as route 41. This road is very narrow and cars travel down It at high speeds right next to you, but the obstacles make It one of the best places to fish down here in south Florida for freshwater and saltwater fish!

quality cotent, im “hooked” already 😂🔥
Haha thank you!!
I used to fish on the side of the road all the time when I lived in S. Florida. So much fun. Nice vid, man.
Awesome. Thank you for watching!
I think that one was a speckled peacock bass which is a cool find if it was.
I'll be there in May. I'm hoping to add a oscar to my list
It may have been! And if you fish the trail in may you will definitely be able to knock that off your list. They love Crappie jigs! Be sure to bring a couple of those and use the live bait for the peacocks
Very nice, your commentary came smooth and was enjoyable throughout the video.
Appreciate that!!
Great video man, you can never go wrong with shiners!
Haha exactly, they get the job done!!
I love fishing there. Best canal system in south Florida for sure.
Agreed! Can’t beat the action and the variety this place offers!
Would you please tell me where these spots are? I live in Naples so I'll be great for me to try them🤝
All along route 41 from Naples to Miami
epic video !! anyone hating is just upset they arent there to catch em! tight lines brotha
That’s right! Haha thank you!
Nice vid not that dangerous form a Floridian but you know what this a great video
Us Floridians are used to It by now haha! But definitely can be a scary spot for the out of towners that fish here. Thanks for watching!
I was standing ontop of the concrete barrier at one spot fishing and balancing with cars zooming behind me . After 10 minutes my eyes finally focused and noticed a huge gator creeping the bottom waiting for me to fall in. Probably one of the biggest gators I’ve ever seen living in Florida all my life
That’s crazy! Really have to be careful out there with all sorts of variables!
Slammed the peacocks man. Loved the underwater footage too.
Heck yea! Appreciate that!
That was a Peacock Bass clinic dude... We fished for them and Clown Knife Fish in Delray years ago but didn't catch anything like you did... Good stuff!
They sure were fired up! Thanks for watching!
Where in Delray?
West Delray
@@PowerstrokeSynd the canal system or lakes? I snook fish and have just started with the peacock and can't catch anything but canal grass. Lake Ida is almost impossible to fish from shore.
@@jamesbough4752 canals off Atlantic
Love ur channel man just found it
Love to hear that! Thanks for following along!
Great job 🎉
Thank you!
While there head south on loop road tons of roadside spots to fish as well.
I was planning to do this that day but ran out of time. May have to do this in another video!
Love the content brother!! What size and type hook are you using for the shiners?
I appreciate that! I believe these were 1/0 circle hooks. I prefer straight line not the offset
I want to go there, just being a bit lazy lol. Thinking about dropping the kayak.
I'm looking for the elusive florida chain pickerel. I was told 41 may be the best spot in south Florida.
Not many places you can kayak there but that could be cool! And I’ve never personally caught a pickerel there but maybe that is true!
I’ve grown up fishing all over south Florida the only place I’ve ever caught a pickerel here was out off krome ave west of Miramar
cool episode, catching fresh water!!! i just started using circle hooks... i swear they dont hook up as well as a "J Hook/ bait holder" i use em for trout with a worm, and they seem to not engauge as well. i dunno, im still deciding... today, i lost 1 and hooked 1.. go figure
They definitely are hard on a bobber especially but it’s what I had. But for straight live bait fishing I’ve never had many issues with them. Trout though I definitely like using jigheads and j hooks for sure!
@MaritimeExpeditions do u actually prefer a J Hook to Circle, as a j hook having better hook up ratio??
I might have to switch back to my J Hooks. I see so many people use Circles because of the "hooking in the corner of the mouth " I caught a trout today and he swalled the circle. 😕 the other day day I had 3 trout 2 came off. So upset
It definitely depends on the situation. If you aren’t watching your line and you let a fish eat too long they can still of course swallow a circle hook. You have a better chance with a j hook sometimes simply because you can almost “snag” the inside of their mouth if you have a fish that’s just holding on and doesn’t want to commit. Different hooks work for different applications. Live baiting I’m always gonna use a circle hook. But any type of jigging or worms I’m typically going to use a J hook. Hope this helps!
@MaritimeExpeditions yes very much so. Something to think about. Appreciate the feedback. 🎣👍
no problem!
its surprising to catch peacocks during this time of year as its getting colder
I was surprised too because the water was also colder than usual too. Very cool to see them this fired up though!
ive been fishing that road from Naples to Miami for the longest p.s there's so much blue crab there too
Nice!! And I didn’t know that!
bro blurred out the mile marker like its his secret spot lol
Haha can’t make It too easy for everyone. If you look hard enough you’ll find It though!
Can you show me how to get there or something?
It’s just route 41. Tamiami trail. The entire road has fishing all along it
Its a beautiful place but ppl leave their beer cans and trash around
That part of It definitely is sad!
Sketchy gator footage, but looked sick
Haha It was crazy. Had a couple try and bite the camera too. Thanks!
20 minutes from me, I will try it soon..
That’s awesome you definitely should!
How do they taste if you were to keep them?
I’ve seen people that keep them but ive personally never tried It. I wouldn’t expect It to be great though haha!
Peacock Bass are a very good tasting fish please try
Ooh I’ve heard this but idk I’m not the biggest freshwater fish guy myself.
Where’d you get bait at??
Trying to plan a similar trip myself and don’t know where to buy shiners
Not sure where you’re coming from but just about any bait and tackle shop in homestead or Miami south will have shiners! I beleive there is also shiners sold right on 41 and 8th street at dade corners where the micosoukee casino is. There is a bait shop around there I’ve heard!
Using your truck to supposedly protect you won't because the vehicles are traveling faster than 55 mph so you will killed by your own vehicle if another vehicle slams into your truck it will push your truck on top of you. I have been fishing that area since attending high school in the late 70's. It was worse back then because the solid white line was 2-3 feet from the edge of road.
Totally! You are at the mercy of peoples “good driving” lord willing! It’s definitely a sketchy spot and there are some tight spots on the road still!
Definitely not Miami sized peas the biggest one you caught back there would be the smallest one I’ve caught down more south but other then that they are some beautiful pease
I mean of course It wasn’t a 10 pounder but I consider those to be solid fish for the area for sure.
So
Where in Florida
On route 41. Where south Florida and the west coast meet. The road from Miami to naples
What bait
Live Shiners
No For the oscars
The most RUclipsd spot in fla. FTFY. Lol
Must mean it’s pretty popular! It’s one of my favorites too!
"The most over fished spot in Florida!!!" There, I fixed your title. Y'all so called outdoorsmen will sell your soul for views.
Tons of people fish this place there’s no arguing that. I do still think it’s a very dangerous spot to fish if you’re not being careful. Not trying to embellish by any means just trying to make content people enjoy and can maybe try for themselves one day. Thank you for watching!
Thank you someone said it 😂
Exactly, I live near there and just selling anything for attention.
It’s not overfished bud lmao, you can take a painted jig head down that road and catch 5+ species 100+ fish in a few hours you just suck haha
@@MaritimeExpeditionsman that dude is just a whole ass bro kerp doing your thing & kerp making people like him mad💯🫡
Get yourself a second camera, get a 2nd view. You can split screen,
I normally would have that but my second camera got flooded with water right before this! Just got my new one though and I’m ready to get to using It again!
Send me the location
Route 41 haha it’s literally the entire stretch of road! Just about anywhere you stop is good fishing!
Where's the danger..?
All the cars driving by just inches away and the alligators trying to eat your fish. Luckily nothing too close of a call today but the road is a very dangerous place overall to fish!
Can’t expose a spot they can never really point out
🤷♂️
You need to learn how to properly thumb a fish
I wasn’t aware I was doing It wrong haha what’s wrong with the way I do It?
I have seen others fish that pond basin at 25 minutes where on the trail is that. Thanks for the video, giving you a follow on instagram
Sweet! It’s a great place, thanks for following!
Nice vid not that dangerous form a Floridian but you know what this a great video
Haha us Floridians are used to gators and crazy drivers by now! But a lot of people do come from all over the world to fish here and may have never seen anything like that! I appreciate the kind words thanks for watching!
