Matt questions the team's mentality and if they have the toughness necessary. In the first segment, I dissect Matt Leinart's view and his confidence in Lincoln Riley.
The show's second segment examines the right attitude and discipline needed to play in this rivalry game against UCLA. Coach Deshaun Foster likes to talk about smart players at UCLA, however, his team makes more mistakes than USC.

during camp i talked to ausc wide reciever he told me that jaden will be starting before and thedefense will be good and that their was a lack of discipline in the locker room, he was a californua kid and didnt know what it really meant to be a trojan he already planned on transfering before the season started , he spoke about the person he looked up the most was bear and that should tell you a lot.
When Chris Arledge interviewed Brandon Hancock a while back Chris asked him who was behind developing that culture of toughness and nastiness that those teams had. Without hesitation, he said Ed Orgeron. Is there a Coach O on this staff? Could Taylor Mays be that guy if he was assigned that task?
You need that on Offense too though.
@@B22STNGR it was the whole team back then. Ed was the catalyst for the toughness those dynasty teams had.
@movingman67 To a degree yes, But it was the physical O Line and running game with players like Lindell White, more than anything else that makes the difference for any offense.

We haven’t had a ton of penalties…BUT some have been very bad timing. That hand to the face negated a great play by another D lineman…and cost 15 freaking yards. Fight on…beat Fucla…✌🏻

Marc I know this is a very unpopular stance to take in Trojan land but I as a life long Trojan fan am giving this team a BIG 10 MULLIGAN. I think mistakenly the Trojan offensive coaches and players still had a little to much PAC12 and with LR PAC12 and BIG 12 blood flowing through their veins to win those games this year. I get what fans are saying about LR and the run game but all head coaches have final play calling decision power so adding an OC would just be fluff. Oregon has had the same problem but their team is a bit more experienced than the Trojans and Phil Knight the walking check book has purchased a deep football team. 5 losses with 4 coming on the road in a tough new conference by a total of less than 20 points - I am giving them ONE Mulligan. That said they better win the UCLA and Notre Dame games because they are not covered by the Mulligan.

I guarantee you, if you u have a really bad record against UCLA, then you won't last very long.
Why do we continue to not process the reality, riley can lose the next 4 meetings to UCLA and go no place. Only if he self-destructs will he be shown the door.

My take is SC has a culture problem. Think back SC used to have players that dominate their opposing player.

I was really disappointed in the Lemon and Branch penalties. They were stupid penalties and they came off the field kind of laughing it up and making gestures that showed they didn’t understand the stupidity of what they did. Discipline would have kept them off the field awhile.

NO MENTAL TOUGHNESS and we can no longer blame Hell-ton. S&C is now decent, but the mentality sucks. How many times do we have to remind them you don't win because you are supposed to have superior talent and wear Cardinal & Gold. @@LockedOnUSC as someone who played quarterback at the FCS level and worked with the same guy who trains Caleb Williams Anthony Richardson Brock Purdy and others, I would say it’s the opposite. Go back to the 60s and 70s if you want a different play caller 😂
