Whatever demon Boston fans had, it hath been exorcised. Since 2001, you have 6 Super Bowls, 4 World Series, 1 Stanley Cup, 1 NBA Title. I was born in 2001 and have witnessed only one major championship in my country (Canada) since I was born. I never saw the Blue Jays win. I have not even seen a Canadian team win the Cup. I don't wanna hear about Bill Simmons, who has witnessed the NFL's longest dynasty, the best baseball team I've seen, a perennial cup contender in the Bruins and a team in the Celtics that takes 5 new players a year and gets to the conference final. Plus, when Bill was growing up, he had the Havlicek and Bird teams that won 5 titles before he turned 30. So no. Boston fans can shut up with their demons.

Nah Stugotz, keep that same energy throughout the call! However, he is right. Boston has had a great run of winning for almost a full 2 decades, yet they still will complain and gripe about their teams. Try being a Lions fans, then come talk to me about demons, curses, and all of that other garbage!

The simple response is that Bill could feel however he feels, but when you are tweeting your feelings out, they may come with criticism. And yes, most sports fans find it annoying that Boston fans still perceive themselves as a "woe is me" "the leagues are out to get us" even though they have been the most successful sports city this generation. It's especially annoying because they will be the first to tell you how great there city is, but then also act like the odds are stacked against them. Simple answer though is that you don't need to constantly tweet out your feelings.

It's specific to the Red Sox not all of Boston. A lot of us still have memories of when they would seemingly have it all taken care of then they somehow blow it. Bucky F'n Dent, Bill Buckner, Aaron F'n Boone, just to name a few. The curse may be broken, but you can't shake those things when history is starting to repeat itself again.
