Phil, an idea... use a new electric AC compressor... can be relocated to the front (frunk) removes considerable weight from way out the back, shortens hose runs etc and helps weight distribution 👍

Another great video Phil. Team Alpha Performance has really knocked it out of the park with this amazing FAB, it’s was even better than what I imagined. (The end core curves are beyond perfect) The purple touch on the clamps was genius and adds the right amounts of colour to the bay. It looks like you are running out of things to upgrade on this RWB. Is there anyway you can preserve the RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF signature on the bottom left engine bay with some clear coat? I feel it’s only a matter of time until you ice blast her underside and engine. The aluminium that is not new is a little tarnished compared to rest of the brand new gear. This Porsche is now wearing so much bling she has gone beyond functional and is now beautiful on the inside, I truly feel you should harness your inner OCD and reach out to a sponsor for an ice blasting rig... There are machines coming out that will accept water and will simply create the ice slugs on the go so maybe wait for that one to prevent all the fapping about. Imagine Craig not complaining about Jay’s crappy cleaning of parts before the “Can you just”... #DriftWorksShopGoals
Cheers. Ice blasting is something I'd really like to get done. I thought the machines were tens of thousands of pounds though? The RWB signature is already coming off, unfortunately. I definitely should have PPF'd it. I'll have to get Nakai-san to redo it when he's next over.
@@driftworks Maybe a brass plate somewhere on the car and have the signature etched into it with black infill and Rivnut it on... you know way over the top #LoveYourWork :)

Unless I am wrong - and I do not think I am - you need to have a seal between the top of the intercooler and the spoiler so that only outside air can flow down through the intercooler. I am sure that leaving the gap between the intercooler and the spoiler creates a somewhat detrimental airflow that can pull hot air over the intercooler. Correct me if I am wrong - but methinks that I am not wrong. 'Strange' things occur around the back of a 911 at speeeeeeed. Have a safe and nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.

It's amazing that chuffing huge intercooler actually fits... and the laser cut detailing is just superb!
What's the situation with the Lambo Phil? Has it been out on the road yet? Ripped the front lip off on a sleeping policeman yet?! Look forward to hearing a bit more about the Murcielago now it's had it's big reveal.
👍 . The Lamborghini is in the final part of the build. It has no interior as it's being re-trimmed and I'm sorting a few other issues. I should probably do a video, but the last few didn't do well, so I figured people were probably feeling a bit over saturated.
@@driftworks Speaking personally I enjoyed seeing how the Lambo came together, but I can imagine how some people, having seen the reveal, perhaps weren't bothered about the bits in between. Such is life, eh? Do you have any plans for the Lambo when it's done? Events? Track days? I'd love to hear it out on the track, giving it the beans...
Awesome fabrication, which way does the air actually pass through? Is there actually much flow across it?
Air passes through top to bottom with the aid of the main engine fan.

What core did they use for the intercooler? It appears they used a tube and fin type.
It's their own. Or one that they had manufactured at least.
Is there enough air flow into that area to actually allow that bigger intercooler to actually work better than the old one?
Do you have any means to check before and after temps. Eg air temp on its outlet.
No....it doesn't matter it looks cool....
I guess it can be too big for extra gains after a certain size, as you say given the air it's exposed to, but it just looks right and why not use every available space for it.
How much more power is it worth?

So do I. It's quite a time consuming process rebuilding large portions of my car though. Now it's ready for the new ECU, sensors, wiring loom, injectors etc.

It now has a drive by wire throttle that the current Motec can't run. Next on the list is Hatech 2500 Elite and all new wiring and sensors etc.
