Hi Fred working my way through the comments this evening, I think this may be the problem, its family run and not sure if there are any volunteers - may be that could be their solution. Matt
It makes you wonder if they are updating or preparing to close the doors let's hope it is the former. This is a very interesting spot and again I envy the availability you have to places like this. Great video. Jersey Bill
The ex-LNWR miniature arm ground signal came from Llanrwst station. The LNWR revolving head ground signal with two discs may have come from Aber on the Bangor to Chester line. The Disc faces are an LMS upgrade.
So sorry for not responding sooner, many thanks for sharing, I was a bit rushed to get my footage so didn't get to read all the labels but I do wish the museum every success. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to share.
The missing loco is a large possibly 10in gauge Britannia. It was there last year. Yes the large North West area in the 1950s in M gauge has gone. In my opinion the museum is one of the best railway attractions going and still retaining its charm of a family run attraction. Over the past 2-3 years it has been in need of some maintenance , however I guess that the costs involved are quite challenging. Great model shop. I hope that it keeps going.
You are right about the Britannia, I looked it up when I got home, but I remember a narrow gauge loco form when I was a kid. Anyway the owners of the museum, miniature railway and shop are living my dream long may it continue and I hoe they fine the way for a little bit of TLC. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to message.
I found a comment on TripAdvisor titled 'Help this shop and museum before its gone for good' which was added in March this year. Sadly it does sound as if this place is on its last legs, according to the review the owner is in his 90's and I guess that no one has the cash reserves to take it on and invest what's needed to bring it back to life. We visited back in 2022 and everything was looking pretty tired then but it was still a lovely place to visit. Unfortunately the miniature tramway had been closed down due to a fallen tree having smashed some of the infrastructure which wasn't going to be repaired. I guess we can only hope that what's left can be saved and revived in some way.
@andyharris651 It is probably one of the last of the traditional family oriented locations with a lovely history. I regularly go to all the Welsh narrow guage lines, which are spectacular, however the Conwy Museum is always up there with them as it is such a delightful and interesting railway.
So sorry for not responding sooner. Well I do wish the museum every success, its always been there, it must be difficult to keep on top of the TLC while running the business, thankfully the railway was back open and running and I have post a POV video. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
sorry for not responding sooner, indeed family run and with its own history, its been there so long, and as you say a delight and a must visit on each Wales trip. Many thanks for watching and joining the comments.
It was and I loved it, but believe it or not I did hear a few moan. £2 that's all, the average show now is a fiver to get in and the first room had half a dozen dioramas alone, just need a little TLC.
@shakeyhandsshedmodelrailwa2494 You are spot on. We have been going for years and all the prices have always been more than reasonable. It is probably one of the few places that is affordable to all families. We are in our 60s and we go there every year. Such a delightful railway.
That was a very interesting video Matt, hopefully they can carry on. It's amazing how volunteers can keep locations alive.

I thought I got vfm when I was there👍👍 very good😎😎
It just a wholesome little museum isn't it, and £2 - you get nothing for that now!

Its always been a stop on my visits to Wales so long may it continue! Thanks Jersey Bill. Matt
