    Just got back from a Disney trip. 6 days, 5 nights, 2 adults and our pre-schooler (so we had to pay for hit tickets and food). Booked using a special promo. Received back 20% of the entire trip in a gift card. With cash back, staying on Disney property (all star resort) for 6 days it was $1542. We bought Disney gift cards from a grocery store that offers rewards for that on certain days, which saved us more money + gave us an already paid for budget to follow for dining and souvenirs on our trip.
    It is possible to go to Disney for an affordable price. Just like this video shows, there are ways to do it you just need to be smart!

      Can you elaborate what promo you are referring to? And the 20% on gift card comment? You mean you just bought 100$ gift cards for 80$

    Found you guys through IG earlier today- thrilled to see you did a video on Disney even though it didn’t reveal a top secret way to make the points work amazing for Disney. However it was by far the best breakdown of the topic. Also very easy to watch with understandable information. And the cherry on top is that your actually kinda funny- I literally busted out on “Or deprive your children of Mickey shaped pancakes”!

    It's not really a secret, but I think the Swan and Dolphin are the best bang for your buck hotels at Disney. They get like 90% of the on-property benefits like Early Access, have an on-property location (walking distance to Epcot and Hollywood Studios), but don't charge the exorbitant on-property prices. There's a really interesting history to these hotels that resulted in them having this hybrid status. They're also part of Amex's Hotel Collection if you have the Platinum card and want to use that perk.

      Totally agree! They seem like a great options for Disney hotels!

    Best deal! I redeemed Marriott points for the stay as well as BA Avios for flights. Bought Disney gift cards for the miscellaneous spend with AMEX Gold to get more points for the next one, totally worth it!

    Would have been nice to see this before our visit there in April. However, we bought Disney’s 4-park pass which could be used over 7 days. We then stayed at an Armed Forces Vacation Club for 7 nights for only $349!! I know this benefit isn’t available to most people, but for those that are affiliated with the military this benefit is AMAZING! I use it all the time!
    Thanks for the great content!

    We have a Disney World trip coming up in the fall. Decided to purchase Disney GCs at a grocery store with our Amex Gold to get 4x points. We will be staying 5 nights at the WA Orlando on points - 5th night free! The Aspire card will be coming in handy this trip

    I like to use a very old Visa card from my credit union that I dont use much (good for my score) that earns "rewards" to purchase Disney Gift Cards that our family uses for on-property restaurants. We can make fun upscale reservations without feeling like we broke the bank. I probably wouldn't use these points for much else.
    Love Disney

    Ten years ago I stumbled into a 1500 steal! My family of 4 ,twins are 20 now, stayed on property, all meals included with 2 snacks a day, and park tickets ( one per day) with fast pass and extra hours! His whole family was going and normally we stayed in time shares of his parents, but I couldn’t pass this up! Tickets were this price! We drove down! We had the best time! No driving all week! We had to share our food it was so much! Kids were at the age they were getting adult meals! Family would be together some and separate for other stuff, big family stuff, then just us 4 for other times!

    I’ve been a Disney adult for over 10 years and I’m brand new to travel hacking. I have the Disney visa only to get access to exclusive deals. When the Star Wars hotel was still open, we stayed there for 35% off due to our Disney visa. These days I charge our annual Disney vacations on our CSP and use the points to pay for trips everywhere else!

    Disney World fanatic here too and I first got into points and miles solely to pay for flights for my families Disney World vacations 😂. We try to go once a year and the only thing we use points/miles for is the flight. We love Pop Century and we use our Disney trips as times to hit a SUB on another card 😬

      Flights are a great place to save money on a Disney trip and when you know you are going to be spending the money anyways, a great way to hit a SUB on a card for another trip! Glad we have some other Disney World fanatics here 🤝

    If you want to use hotel points for WDW then you should look at branded properties farther out….like an IHG property closer to SeaWorld or Universal. It’s a short drive and often much better rates and no resort fees.
    Or do what we did and buy a resale DVC contract so you can do Disney and Hawaii cheaper

    • @DailyDrop
      @DailyDrop  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, totally agree that you can get a better value out of using your points at hotels off-property!
      The Disney Vacation Club could work for some if they go to Disney a lot, but we typically only go once a year (maybe) so the math doesn’t always work out. So awesome that it works for you, though! Have you been to the Disney resort in Hawaii yet?

    • @lexirowe3151
      @lexirowe3151 2 месяца назад

      @@DailyDrop yes we’ve used our DVC points for a 6 night stay in a 2 bedroom villa, 2 nights at the grand Californian in a 1 bedroom villa and we have 5 nights at WDW booked for October. With those three stays we’ve already broke even from our purchase.
      Aulani is a beautiful resort and possibly our favorite Disney one.

    Love disney! Just went recently! Although, saving money on flights and hotels is nothing new… this is exactly what i did! I didn’t pay anything for flights and hotels because of my points. I just can’t agree with him on the 3rd point which is buying disney world tix. There is no way to buy disney world tix directly with points which is what i was hoping he would say. So applying for cards and hitting the minimum yes it can save you on hotels and flights. Just not on the actual disney tickets 😅i wish though! At least…. Not a good enough redemption

    Hello, Mr. Brendan!!! As much as I would like to have the CSP over the CSR in my wallet, I unfortunately can't get either since my credit score currently is at a 553. I currently only work one job, don't have a car anymore, and have my paycheck ate up in crazy Lyft fees. Smh.

    I live in the DMV area, and I’m curious what is the best value point redemption to MCO?

  • @Matt_Hatt3r
    @Matt_Hatt3r 2 месяца назад

    "Embarrassed?" "Roasting?" Brendan, come on.... there's nothing embarrassing about being a Disney adult! Is it expensive? Yes. But if redemption values are low, you could pay cash for most of the trip (maybe redeem miles for the flight) and rack up points from all the cash you're spending! :)

    • @DailyDrop
      @DailyDrop  2 месяца назад +1

      Haha I appreciate this! Changing my mindset to be a proud Disney adult 😂 But totally agree, paying for a Disney vacation to earn points for another trip is 100% manageable!
