When it rains in Lake Conroe and the Woodlands, it drains down into the Cypress/Houston area and floods into the Addicks basin. Not good at all for those in the Cypress area. Another Harvey imo.
It also floods down the San Jacinto River and into the Humble area.

I am in the path of Beryl after it makes landfall I live half-way between Houston and Dallas!! We are supposed to get 5 inches of rain or higher ❤ This is not my first hurricane experience !!!!!! Trust no storm. It isnt just the winds it is the tornados the spawn off of them, the flooding and debris flying all of the place. Stay safe !!!!!!!

The waves this thing created when approaching Jamaica, crashing onto the shores. Were huge. They made the cliff side look pewny. Crashed right over the full grown trees, making them look like shrubs and the sky rise hotel near by look like a dollhouse. Terrifying. .

This storm was not a cat 3 making landfall in Tulum ,yucatan. i was here , and almost no damage at all , it was more like tropical storm !

Turn your volume up...can't hear. Have been watching "Beryl" since it began. It also plowed through the Saharan dust in the Gulf. And it's leaning more to the right, Houston's edge. It's now a tropical storm for a little while. Expected to increase. A lot of rain, flooding. Schools and a lot of businesses suddenly closing Monday. This isn't our first rodeo. Just won't be able to bear the humid 100's if electric goes off, which it always does.

We went a couple towns over today to buy groceries. I just realized. The traffic was normal!!! Usually evac traffic is a constant stream!!! On wy 96!!! Nothing!!! This worries me greatly!!!

The Audio is so low you can't hear it, unless you stream it to you're TV and crank the volume up to 90. Or is you're lucky enough to have Bluetooth Audio Gateway hooked up to a Bose amplifier to a set of Bose Speakers, also cranked up to high, I set mine at 65 on the Bose amplifier.
Don't know what you did, but for most people, earbuds or other Bluetooth ear pieces, headphones or you're devices speaker, will make it sound like there is no audio or very soft & low audio.
I just happen to have a Blackberry Audio Gateway, which is connected to my Amplifier which has a set of high performance Speakers connected, so I can connect my device, via Bluetooth, to the Adio Gateway and send my devices audio through my stereo amplifier to crank it way up. Works great when I am listening to music or Having my YouVersion Bible App read the Bible to me.

(MY) RESPONSE: I'll be 60 in November, and I don't recall that happening "way back when", this seems like a fairly recent thing. Has anyone else noticed that? MrMBB, you mentioned that the Doppler radar is usually land-based. Is it possible that either one of those weather planes that fly into the eye of a storm, could be giving off 'whatever' that the Doppler might pick up? Or maybe one of those huge military carrier ships, out in the ocean?
Beryl isn't just a girl's name (typically), it's also a type of gemstone - and very pretty too - comes in a few different colors.

Haarp barges- radar on huge huge platforms. Seen one in Seattle 2012. And the google barges, San Fran Ca. , New Hampshire bay 2014. Its like people forget on purpose. Theres always one in the gulf. Tracking it for decades & posting right here.

Hurricane so early in your season is because the ocean is so hot,, 85 degrees F. is like melting the wax off my surf board hot no wetsuit needed,,, kind of scarey what it could mean......really cold and dry at my place,, im running out of water which is so wrong for this time of year. Mr B, you're absolutely right about doppler radar not being anywhere in the Caribbean. And if this was weather manipulation then everyone should thank the evildoers for weakening the storm fm a cat5 to a cat 1. In other words, this strange pattern is not from weather manipulation. I know the rest of the audience disagrees with my assessment, but I'm sticking to it. There is some outside influence causing these patterns in our atmosphere. Renemver the recurring "glitch" in the south Atlantic that kept occurring? Remember the swirl pattern in the southwestern US not long ago? All can be attributed to the same outside influence in my opinion.

Has to be a scientifically logical explanation! I mean it did get knocked down to a tropical storm so it had to be pretty strong to fight as long as it did and if it had been a day or so behind then it might have been wiped out completely. I mean it didn't immediately turn into a monster as soon as it hit the gulf so shear played a major factor in its development. Had it not we would be talking about major impact and evacuations.

It hit a major land mass, hit dust, hit wind shear and survived it all... 😮 imagine if it went between the Yucatan and cuba instead of a direct hit. The storm would have been a cat 5 on impact with texas or lousuana easily.
