Hi minjae, regarding Jiyoon of weeekly's part it was stated somewhere (I can't remember where 😭 but I definitely read it!) by Jiyoon herself that her company lied in the letter and she did not in fact choose to leave Weeekly, but they kicked her out instead. She said she was on her way to recovering when they kicked her out. I really hope she's doing well tho! Just thought you'd want to know ^^
and regarding the Kim Garam scandal it has been officially proven that she was innocent, once again another talented idol’s career got ruined by people being too quick to jump to conclusions. None the less im hoping that once Garam graduates from SOPA in 2024 she will try again with her idol dreams even if its as a soloist, she deserves MUCH more then the 2 weeks she got to show us her talents. I said what i said people can come at me for “dEfEnDiNg A BuLlY” but she isnt a bully bestie do some research on the case and you’ll see who the real victim in this case was and you’ll see that this whole scandal started because of an obsessed and jealous ex friend who wanted to ruin Garam’s dreams, career, and reputation all cause of their problems in the past that the “VICTIM” created. Not to mention Garam even mentioned herself that cursing at the “victim” was immature of her but she wont change what she did cause she was sticking up for a friend like her parents taught her. I am proud i stayed neutral in this case cause poor Garam did not deserve all that hate.
Mini CLC update: -Yujin is rumoured to have left Cube as she is not listed in the companies’ artists that they manage -Seungyeon is teaching a lot of dance classes, I remember she taught at 1million and in Thailand this year -Yeeun featured on both Sorn and Oceanfromtheblue’s songs (she is debuting soon) -Elkie actually co-wrote and co-composed GP999 contestant Fu Yaning’s song -Eunbin had a few acting projects that came out -Seunghee releases covers, but I believe that she also is taking acting classes -Sorn is also preparing for another comeback soon

Even if this was a tough year for ggs, this year in terms of music, girlgroups carried all. Experimenting with various concepts and sounds, all girl groups gave different impressions and something to talk about besides their struggles, making the industry more interesting and diverse. So for me it's not their worst year but maybe a tought step on the path
I think there wasn’t much better gg music this year than bg. Most comebacks from gg and bg were very boring. Only new jeans and lesserafim were original.

No cause I thought it couldnt get any worse after Garam being removed from LE SSERAFIM, then we got Chuu being kicked out of BBC and LOONA. And now we got Jinni leaving NMIXX and JYPE, What has this year turned too. I feel like there is more to the story with Jinni cause a few days ago she was talking about how excited she was for NMIXX's next comeback... its shocking to me but none the less supporting Garam, Chuu, and now Jinni on all their future activities🥲❤️❤️❤️
It's so sad... Soojin, Garam, Chuu, Jinni... I'm destroyed specially for the last one, Nmixx was my favorite and they always hot so much hate from a certain group of people... The community needs to change.

i would die if some of them leave the group or disband, they're my ults, but i think they're safe, cuz the members are happy with each other and the company is healthy, they never put pressure on the girls

2022 being “the year of girl groups”, but everyone’s leaving. there’s so many reasons as to why that is, but it sucks knowing we might not ever get to see some of them again. & in jinni’s case, we might not ever get to know the truth.
Loona, Purple Kiss and Lesserafim are part of my Top 4 girl groups and they have at least ONE member who left the group. Garam's contract termination shocked me because HYBE was very adamant on keeping her and then she's no longer part of Lesserafim. I was very sad when Jieun left Purple Kiss but she left for health reasons and I hope she continues to do alright but not even a week after Jieun left and Chuu was expelled from Loona which was crazy (and pretty much just proves what a circus BBC is). The only gg in my Top 4 who still has their original lineup is Twice and I feel like they also broke the curse because all members renewed their contract even though there were some rumours that two or three members would not be renewing but they managed to beat all odds this year.
I'm saddest about Purple Kiss' JiEun, that one really took me by surprise. 🥺 As someone who struggles with anxiety and knows first hand how debilitating it can be, I can't imagine how stressful it'd be being in the public eye on top of it... I wish her all the best! Also, I still hope Yiren comes back to Everglow... and if not, I hope the remaining members are able to restart their tour soon.
waking up to see jinni leaving the group was such a slap to the face. no one saw that coming AT ALL. i really wish we could know the real reason but i respect the decision to just keep it private. it does seem weird cause everything is so sudden, but for now, i can only wish her the best and hope to see more of her in the future if she chooses to become an idol or even an actor.
Even her posts on instagram are deleted or archived, how could JYP do that to his artists? That will be part of our memories of Jinni when she was in the group😭 I'm glad that other members who left their groups didn't get their posts on instagram deleted, I'm very disappointed from JYP from doing that to his artists🤦

Soumu has defended Garam but I don't know why the news about Garam bullying someone is getting hotter until it gets into the news, so if it gets into the news ..they had to remove Kim Garam from the group..I feel like there is someone behind all these problems..I hope all the problems that occur can be solved immediately..I hope Kim Garam can debut in another group/company or debut as actors

There's more to Jiyoon's departure from Weeekly than what the official statement would want you to believe. Jiyoon herself went online and allegedly there were hints about her being forced out instead. In the same live, she requested the viewers to refrain from translating/sharing, as she's still under obligation to not speak up.

I am feel so sad that all of the girl group members have been departing and or have been kicked out of their group. •I am extremely devastated by Jinni departure on NMIXX. Jinni has recently attended the MAMA Awards and other NMIXX related activities. •Jinni even stated on Bubble, a couple days ago that she was excited for NMIXX next comeback and their future. •So this situation feels so sudden shocking. We won’t know what happened behind the scenes. But I will miss Jinni and she will be missed in NMIXX. I wish all of the best in her future career. Jinni is very talented. I hope Jinni is okay.❤

I woke up today with the news of Jinni and my heart broke, i fell in love with nmixx and jinni more specifically during predebut era and it truly saddens me for her and the group. I hope we get to know more of the circumstances of her departure because something feels not right imo. I hope the group is doing okay and i know that they are going to pull through. 1 thing for sure is that i will continue to support Jinni if she ever re-debuts because that girl is talented.

im really worried for nmixx. they excell at performances and without their second center their performances might feel incomplete or unbalanced in the future. i hope jinni and nmixx are taking this well :/
Outside NMIXX, I find the Blackswan departures the most confusing. This is a group that already has had an INCREDIBLY fraught history and I thought they had finally found stable ground to stand on after “Close to Me” seemed to do well. Then, randomly, this group is running on a “graduation system” that kicked out their only remaining Korean members? Something just isn’t adding up but I’m still wishing the best for Judy, Youngheun and Blackswan.
Chuu and Jinni’s departure is just unexplained and was also unexpected. I know a lot of people may think Chuu actually abused her staff but she didn’t she is a sweet loving person and for Jinni that just came out of the blue and it just feels like another Woojin situation. Honestly i don’t know if nmixx will be the same without her because she is the one I’ve stanned since pre-debut and her vocals were powerful.

I mean people who are struggling don't want other people that look up to them in a vulnerable position, I mean all of us are guilty of saying we're fine when we're not, so she could have just been putting up a façade to not worry fans, but we likely wont know, unless a member talks about the situation, which is unlikely if jyp has chosen to protect the reason why jinni has decided to leave for her own privacy.
@@herozero8809 yes but normally when someone suffers from depression or that their mental health it's not the best, they will try to not talk, and if they talk they wouldn't be talking abt the future when they know that they are gonna to be leaving idk if it makes sense. Bc if i'm depressed i will not be like "next week i'm gonna hang out with my friends" when ik damn well that i'm not. So it's very suspicious that she's looking forward to their next comeback and then she leaves. If she knew that she wasn't alright she wouldn't have say it.

I read that Jiyoon did not want to leave Weeekly. And I predicted that Gyuri was likely to leave Frommis because she always seemed a bit distant from the other members, with a fixed smile. I think she liked the opportunity and exposure that winning to be in the group gave her, but that she wanted to be elsewhere. I've liked her since her pairing with Chuu in that webdrama... and wish her the best.
Most sad about Pixy members. That physically hurt and still does. From what I've seen, at least Ella and Satbyeol look like they're doing well. If Everglow disbands, that's gonna be another punch to the gut.

Waking up to your friends pinging you on discord, saying that your ult group just lost a member is such a devastating feeling. I'm fairly new to kpop (got into it last December) and I fell in love with NMIXX. They were my absolute favorite, and I loved each member dearly. Jinni's departure was such a shock to me. I have never cried so hard over an artist. It might take few days for reality to finally sink in, but I'll be okay as long as she left on her own volition. I'll keep supporting her and the rest of the members wherever they may go next. Jinni may not be in the group anymore, but NMIXX is and will always be 7 in my heart.
So coming INTO 2022, we knew that it was absolutely going to world war: GG. We were about to see the likes of Le Sserafim, BILLIE, NMIXX, New Jeans, etc come into the market which already had the likes of IVE and Kep1er leading the charge from 2021. By all accounts, it was nuts. This is the other half of that equation. As these girl groups compete for your attention (get it?), some groups will ultimately experience a few troubles and members will start leaving due to frustration. It was amazing for fans of GG's in general, but cutthroat for the many, many competing GG's that debuted this year and recently.
I’m really sad that Jinni left JYP I was honestly really getting to know the members and I really liked Jinni so it was a shame to hear of her departure :( but I wish her the best! Also Yuehua better not throw EVERGLOW away because they are all way too talented!!!
I was honestly thinking that if one person falls down many people falls down the domino effect it just leads more people either leaving or getting kicked out
I was heartbroken to hear of bugAboo's disbandment, since they were my ult girl group. I've been a fan of Eunchae and Choyeon since produce days, and I remember being really excited for their debut with bugAboo. It's sad that their career as a group was so short. Thankfully, their discord server is still up with the members still active, and they've all made personal Instagram accounts now, so it's not all bad.
It'd be something else if Chuu was suddenly removed for harassing staff but it's hard to believe since Loona has existed for several years and this wasn't an issue until she sued Blockberry. 🙃 Even if it were true, it shows to me Blockberry didn't actually care for their staff until they wanted to take revenge. But it's even worse if it's fake because they're trying to destroy a young woman's image and career out of pure bitterness.
i love jinni she was so eye catching, charismatic and so pretty the sudden news of her departure really made me sad, 6 years of training basically your entire childhood just gone i wonder what happened hope she's okay
so many of them left for "personal reasons" which could've actually been real (like Jiho and Gyuri) or just some excuse the company made (cough, cough, IST). we don't really know what happens to them behind the scenes whether they're struggling with their health or shit is happening in their companies so i hope these idols are okay :
everglow is not disbanding! the tour was horribly mismanaged. the organizers announced the tour only one month in advance, and since the start SEA forevers have been open about how it was not enough time to take leave, especially since some of the dates were on weekdays. on top of that, the organizers and yuehua didn't try to promote the tour at all. so many people didn't know it was happening until it was canceled, and i've seen many people shocked by the lack of promo. their kazakhstan/kyrgyzstan tour was run by a different organizer who did a really good job at promoting, and they had no problems at all. it just pisses me off that people will only see the SEA tour and regard it as a failure on everglow's part, when it's yuehua who failed them once again
Most disappointing: 1. BVNDIT. These girls had so much potential. "Hocus Pocus" was an OK debut, but "Dramatic" got them a lot of buzz for an indie group and MNH Entertainment generated a lot of positivity by not only pushing out two more comebacks but several bonus singles over the course of the group's first year. PLUS MNH wrote off the members' trainee debt as compensation for the two year delay in BVNDIT's debut due to Chung Ha being pulled out of the group and debuting as a soloist. Through mid-2020 the future looked promising for BVNDIT...And then MNH threw that all away by mismanaging the pandemic so badly that BVNDIT suffered through a two year hiatus, seeing their already-delayed careers fading away (not to mention coming close to ruining Chung Ha's career as well). A competent company could have easily built them up over time - even their final comeback "Venom" showed strong growth even after two years. It just did NOT have to be this way. 2. bugAboo. Turn the clock back to autumn 2021; A-Team Entertainment seemed to be doing EVERYTHING right to strongly launch bugAboo. Beyond leveraging the popularity of members Choyeon and Eunchae from Produce48, A-Team did a TON of top-quality pre-debut content, and the debut itself was very well done and well-received for a small company group... but then A-Team wasn't just any small company, as it was basically the personal project of star composer/producer Ryan Jhun. Jhun poured his talent into bugAboo's debut and it showed. And then a nine-month wait for a comeback, which turned out to be another single with a dramatically smaller budget and which lacked almost any input from Jhun. Shortly after promotions for "Pop" ended Jhun had signed with a different company (huh? you're CEO of an agency and...sign with a different and new company with only one other artist? *head scratching*.) Ryan Jhun completely failed bugAboo and left them to wither, reflected by Kim Choyeon pointedly unfollowing Jhun on social media the day after the disbandment. 3. LOONA. This should have been LOONA's year. Queendom 2, successful comeback, world tour. We SHOULD be talking about how LOONA is finally reaching the heights they have been working towards since the first pre-debut songs. Instead...despite Blockberry Creative's claims that a comeback is being prepared, virtually no one believes that or can see any way forward for the group under their current company. Even if the members could be convinced/coerced into recording a comeback sometime in 2023 (an overwhelming IF regardless of whether the reports are true of nine members filing for suspension/termination of their contracts), Orbits are pledged to boycott and the Chuu situation is so public that any comeback would be dominated by questions about all of the drama surrounding Blockberry's treatment of Chuu and the other members. LOONA is the one group on this list that I WANT to disband - even if they aren't able to continue as a group elsewhere - simply because the members all deserve a better career than what they're getting under Blockberry. Special mention: CLC. The CLC disbandment is old news at this point - even though we didn't know about it until later it's clear CUBE ended the group immediately after "Helicopter" promotions in 2020. But what happened with CLC from 2015-2020 should be examined and studied for years to come as a textbook example of how NOT to promote an idol group. CLC's incredible talents were wasted by the company's stubborn indifference, poor management choices, ownership changes, and inability to settle on a concept that suited the members. At least most of the members seem to have landed on their feet, although Elkie destroyed her international popularity and any chance she had of ever working in South Korea again by making statements supporting Chinese government policies and North Korea.
dude, CLC sales ARE REALLY BAD ! for the first 4 years, they could not even reach 10k ! and their last comeback Helicopter ONY got ~25k where groups like STAYC are getting 200k ! not to mention their SUPERSTAR sister group idle ... 'talent' ? sure they are talented but are they better than GIDLE / ITZY ? do they have the charisma of IVE / Aaespa ? NO ...
@@Dino-pk5hc I will absolutely admit that CLC's sales were terrible. Just based on sales alone, yes, they were going to get cut. BUT...CUBE has to take responsibility for doing virtually nothing over five-plus years to build them up. The best comparison is with Dreamcatcher, who also debuted as a cute concept (MINX), also revamped/re-debuted in a darker, more mature concept literally the SAME WEEK that CLC's "Hobgoblin" was released, and also were from a smaller company that had to make tough decisions about how to promote the group. Happyface Entertainment/Dreamcatcher Company put immense work into growing the fan base with regular comebacks, special clips in between comebacks, regular touring and just enough lore to generate more hype about comebacks. Whereas, CUBE only reluctantly approved the "Hobgoblin" concept shift, never fully backed it ("Where Are You" was a good song but the WRONG song to follow "Hobgoblin" with), left CLC on hiatus for a year TWICE, never sent them on tour, and did very little in between comebacks to boost the group's visibility. If CUBE had provided the same level of support and promotion to CLC that Happyface did during Dreamcatcher's early years, CLC would have sold many many more albums - just like Dreamcatcher has.

I remember they guested in a variety show together with other rookie groups and even Fromis_9 is MORE entertaining and funnier than them .... even Yujin STILL cannot do vlive ALONE ...
@@Vektorix28205 they literally topped the charts in japan months into their japan debut but never got sent back... if this was actually about sales cube would have just sent them to promote internationally but they never did sorn had to book their international gigs and the girls paid their own flights and hotels to perform for international fans. they were also always on billboard world albums chart every year from 2017-2020 and they had some of the highest itunes charts for ggs in 2020 with me and devil topping the charts months after release because cube didn't upload digital singles to one of the largest digital music stores... also sales for 3rd gen have always been lower than 4th with the exception of the huge groups like its apples and oranges to compare 3rd gen artists. plus their albums were never in stock and half their discography wasn't even listed on the cube store.
For Jinni, it’s literally so much more shocking… she trained for 6 years, only had been an idol for 10 months, and was talking about her future with NMIXX and nswers just 2 days ago.. I don’t want to speculate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t her decision
Of course all the Loona situation has me in shambles and constantly thinking about the future of the girls and the group and their previous discography and a lot of things. But mainly the girls safety and happiness. I do hope a sort of light at the end of the tunnel can be seen soon. Other than that, I discovered I Chillin and Pixy during Flip That promotions, and I like both groups, so I'm also sad and surprised they lost members this year I hope they are ok after that, both groups have potential
just a little add-up to the loona situation few days after the chuu removal happened, 9 loona members (excluding vivi and hyunjin) reportedly filed injunction to suspend contract with their company it’s believed that vivi didn’t sign it because she’s a foreigner and has a visa (that’s a thing that lets her stay in korea because she works here) if her contract with bbc ended, it would be complicated to stay in korea (i dont understand this topic very well) hyunjin had some upcoming activities in bbc so it’s belived she will file the injunction after her activities are done also if yaal not confused enough, bbc had made a statement saying that loona is going to have a 11 member comeback in early 2023 so yeah the loona situation is really confusing rn we’ll see how it turns out
I saw people say that Loona's contracts will end in 2023, is that true? Because if it is, then maybe the members might wait it out instead of having a potentially risky and expensive legal battle with the company.

To better explain Vivi's situation: She is in Korea on a work visa that Blockberry controls. The work visa basically states that she can only stay in Korea as long as she is employed. So if she did decide to leave Blockberry, the work visa wouldn't be valid anymore and she would be deported back to Hong Kong. She could stay if she finds a new company or job quickly, or if she files for a new visa.
Jinni looked great and everything was fine. So when I found out she left I promise you the world went silent for a moment. I just hope NMIXX is going to be okay without her and Jinni be okay without them. I just wished we could have had some kind of a warning before she left so abruptly. :( NMIXX's 1 year debut anniversary is in 2 months and she didn't even make it till then. It's actually so sad because she was so passionate about what she did and she slowly started being sick of it. NMIXX even attended MAMA and she really seemed okay. She even stated on BBL that she was excited for NMIXX's future comebacks and promotions but then we find out she leaves the group ASWELL as JYPE as a whole is devastating. Some people speculate that even Bae is soon to leave because of mental health reasons. I'm just gonna miss Jinni so bad :( NMIXX will never be the same.
I can’t remember where I read this but I heard someone say that Weeekly’s Jiyoon actually got kicked out from group against her will and that she didn’t even want to leave in the first place despite her mental health issues, it really frustrated me knowing this because she was an indispensable member to the core of the group, I was even more heartbroken
1. Brokeberry Creative is so petty. Good luck to the LOONA girls trying to get their money. 2. I hope the CLC girls consider re-banding or collaborating more with each other. It seemed like they had a vision of how CLC should've been ran that Cube was never able to execute properly (e.g., losing momentum after 'Hobgoblin'). I don't think the girls were done showing the world what CLC was capable of, but I'm happy they're out of the Cube dungeon.
if anyone’s wondering what orbits (loona fans) are speculating, here’s the general consensus i’ve seen idk if there’s been evidence of this but a lot of fans are saying the girls (all 12) are not getting paid and are just generally being mistreated. i think in the past the girls (particularly hyeju, yves, gowon & chuu) have spoken about not being allowed to eat at times even when they were working extensively. earlier this year chuu filed a lawsuit with bbc, i think filing claims of abuse but i could be wrong; im not positive. right now a lot of orbits are leaning towards boycotting bbc as a whole and not supporting any future loona comebacks, especially since all of the members-with the exception of vivi and hyunjin-have filed injunctions with bbc to terminate their contracts. the first thing any of the girls said after the news about chuu broke was that loona is 12 (from hyunjin.) like i said, as far as i’m aware there’s no evidence of the girls not getting paid and/or being mistreated, (though if you know of any feel free to reply) but considering that the majority of the group is trying to leave it’s becoming kind of clear that being at bbc is not what they want anymore. to support them we are asking everyone boycotts bbc, and that means no streaming of their music, videos, (even the color coded lyric ones, it doesn’t matter if bbc didn’t post them, they still count) purchasing of their merchandise of any kind and overall trying to speak in the only language this company seems to understand: money. we have to hold back on giving money to bbc in any way so they know we’re here for the girls first and foremost. even if you don’t stan loona, pls help us help the girls by not supporting their rumored upcoming comeback. thank you.

I'm here because of Jinni. But I'm deeply familiar with every girl group. Weeekly Jiyoon's circumstances are a bit more suspect than just her anxiety hiatus. In follow on posts from her, it seems like she was removed from the group. Maybe seen as a liability, but it was not cordial and from both sides
It’s also a good year too. Lots of new incredible talent. Lots of attention focused on girl group songs and choreography. Dreamcatcher finally won. I have seen more press and buzz around girl groups than boy groups in 2022, but now there is more fierce competition so that will make things harder overall for girls
Btw both lightsum members didn’t leave Cube. Don’t think that Lightsum will get a more girl crush concept because they don’t suit it. I think more that they will have a concept or sound like April Lalalila and Wjsn.(only speculations)
Tbh when I booked my Everglow concert ticket for Thailand few days after it opened, 80% of all of the seats were still empty. Same thing in Malaysia too. The problems were it was announced too late (one month before concert), the dates were on weekdays, & too little promotion. Some of the fans didn't even know they were going on tour.

NMIXX is the first group I've stanned from debut. I was absolutely shocked to hear about Jinni leaving and I actually feel so genuinely sad. I hope jinni is happy where she is and I wish her the best. NMIXX fighting.

I was most sad about Ella and satbyeol leaving Pixy :( Pixy was my ult group and they were still rookies when Ella and satbyeol left. Pixy brought me a lot of happiness and I love the group and members a lot. I kinda knew Ella would leave because she was on hiatus for her health and she had also left Cherry bullet when she was in that group, but I didnt see satbyeol leaving Pixy as she wasnt on hiatus and it just came out of nowhere. Pixy has such big potentional as a group and also the members and I had hopes that they would stay together as a group for many years. I also had hopes that they would one day become a sucsessful group. I still wish the best for all the members and Ella and satbyeol, and hope that they all have a good future.
I think Cube is doing with Lightsum what they did with CLC in 2015 but backwards. After the promotions for their second mini album they returned to be TRAINEES, and then in their third mini albums Elkie and Eunbin were added to the group. Same thing with Lightsum but instead of adding members they removed them.
Jinni's departure had to have been against her will. There was no supposed filing for termination, no foreshadowing towards this even & actually anticipation from the girls for their next CB. This must've been against her will and without her consent & is extremely illegal.
dont assume evrything we dont know what jinni is going thru she left due to personal reasons and it has to be serious for her to leave instead of taking hiatus it could have been health family studies or sth else but jyp forcibly kicking her out that is sth jype wouldnt do as far as we all know jype they will gladly allow their artist to take a hiatus if they need as we have seen with twice members pls dont assume stuff and say she was forced to terminate her contract if you want to support her this not the way we should cheer her on in what she wants to do next and wish the best foir her future and hope she gets through whatever she is going thru

She was the most pushed predebut and is the 2nd centre of the group. She literally does the Nmixx for the switch ups in their songs. She is one of the 2 visuals of the group. She would have to have done something really bad for JYPE to kick her out. Are you seeing how this speculation is going? That's what leads to even more rumours that Jinni might have been sacked because of bad behaviour or some other crazy rumour that could lead to a Woojin 2.0 situation. We should have learned by now not to create our own narratives as a kpop fandom because there are people out there who would see such a comment spread it round. The company said that she left for personal reasons. Why the need to speculate? Why the need to create false narratives? Let's just accept the statement for what it is until either party comes out and speaks more about it.
So many idols that left their groups this year, both bg’s and gg’s, are all from ‘nugu’ groups and it’s really sad because it’s getting harder to make a big break in the industry and with no attention, they just eventually leave...

Treasure is from YG and has had success but should be much more renowned considering, nmixx also should be at twice or itzys level according to history but they're not, purple kiss are definitely underrated, not sure about oneus but the main thing Ive heard about them was about ravn leaving so
I think this was the best year for girl groups. Sure i think moments like Gyuri leaving Fromis, Chuu being kicked out of Loona (BBC will burn in hell for that), couple of disbandments that really sucked but musicly it was a really good year for them. To be honest even when i tried i couldn't place any boy group songs on my Top20 list because the girls were rocking it.
Jiyoon was my bias in Weeekly and im happy there was no issue with her leaving. I was sad, but always supportive of health, both mentally, physically and emotionally

Pixy debuted as 6 members group in 2021 are now 5 members group like your video 6 members curse. My biais was Ella the main vocalist, she is for me the best vocalist forever in all girlsband vocalist members, i was so sad when she left and i was surprised, shocked for Satbyeol's departure when she was here in their recent comeback, US concert in July then their company announced her departure in August and her rap position was given to the new member teased in Villain and Rinji was introduced and debuted in Pixy Europe tour and rap Satbyeol's part, it was so sad
Honestly protect Everglow and fight for OT6 These girls have a fantastic discography and made themselves quiet a big name in the industry. It would be simply not understandable if Yuehoe throws all that away by removing Yiren or even let the group disband As a forever I'm super worried for my girls, so I'm hoping more kpop stans will acknowledge their talent and save them by rooting for the group
bugAboo disbanding hit me hard yesterday. Unlike some of the other disbandments this year, this one really came out of no where and was a shock to me. Both their title tracks did relatively well for the size of their young fandom and small company, but I heard that it was album sells that got them. ATEAM is a small company and they pumped a lot of money into bugAboo. My guess is that they just couldn't afford it. They took the girls on tour in Japan, but judging by the behind-the-scenes footage I saw of the concerts, they weren't exactly huge events... and they didn't even fill out the community theaters they were playing in. So I guess that cost ate it too. I'm just really sad as bugAboo made good songs and had the makings of being a great group given time. I just hope the girls have a chance to sign on to other companies and debut elsewhere. BUT, the thing that's hit me the hardest is Ji Eun (from Purple Kiss) leaving the group due to mental health issues. I won't lie, it almost made me cry knowing that she was smiling so brightly publicly while hurting so much in private. I'm going to miss her in Purple Kiss as well. I know she wasn't one of the standout members like Swan, Yuki, or Dosie, but I still think she added a lot to the group. Of course I want her to get the help she needs, but I'm going to miss Ji Eun - was one of my favorites. It's just sad she never got a moment that was just her to allowed her to shine. Shoutout to BVNDIT as well. I only just got into them on their last comeback, only for them to disband. I wish I knew what happened, but given they were from a smaller company I can't only guess it's the same issue with bugAboo.
Compared to some, Oh My Girl and Fromis_9 departures were really peaceful. Some people were confused why Gyuri left when Fromis_9 are finally picking up the steam and having more success, but it’s precisely why her choice was good - busier idol life probably would’ve mess up any possibility of acting at the same time. As such, it’s kind of beautiful that despite the sadness of her leaving, everyone is getting what they wanted from their careers.
this year has been amazing for girlgroups music wise but behind the scenes its been a bit weird. in general girlgroups have been in the spotlight for the majority of this year
I remember hearing the news CLC were disbanding I was sad for weeks because they were my ult group since 2020 they got me through quarantine and hearing my one comfort group was leaving the kpop industry but I was happy because they finally were free from cube

overall i think this year was carried by Girlgroups , so many bomb gg's debuting, charting high, sweeping awards, sales.. etc etc. with some shocking thing happening as well. girlgroup is all we heard this year. i hope for the best who faced difficulties and all the best to all who stepped up this year in terms of success
I genuinely feel this is an issue of Kpop as a whole, I remembered back in 2016 (when I started to hear kpop) it was either the group as a whole or getting disbanded, they were a few instances where a member left, but that was 2 or 3 cases a year, not as dramatic as this past years. I think the issue become more apparent since 2019. Idk I feel as Kpop it's getting more mainstream the idols either have more pressure, the companies have even more expectations or the aftermath of c*vid that messed up a lot of companies.
Satbyeol ex-member from Pixy (maybe she was kicked out the group) because she was in Vilain comeback to June to July + their US convention performance at the end of July 2022 she was here but then their agency said Satbyeol will return to South Korea for health issue but at the end of August Allart announce Satbyeol's departure it was WTF shocked
I was most sad about ella and satbyeol leaving pixy because i just got into the group a couple weeks before they left and they were my biases :( very sad i didn't get a chance to experience a comeback and new era with them :( of course i'm still gonna support the rest of the group, its just a little heartbreaking my two favorite members left so soon :(

Hi minjae, regarding Jiyoon of weeekly's part it was stated somewhere (I can't remember where 😭 but I definitely read it!) by Jiyoon herself that her company lied in the letter and she did not in fact choose to leave Weeekly, but they kicked her out instead. She said she was on her way to recovering when they kicked her out. I really hope she's doing well tho! Just thought you'd want to know ^^

Experimenting with various concepts and sounds, all girl groups gave different impressions and something to talk about besides their struggles, making the industry more interesting and diverse. So for me it's not their worst year but maybe a tought step on the path

i would die if some of them leave the group or disband, they're my ults, but i think they're safe, cuz the members are happy with each other and the company is healthy, they never put pressure on the girls

2022 being “the year of girl groups”, but everyone’s leaving. there’s so many reasons as to why that is, but it sucks knowing we might not ever get to see some of them again. & in jinni’s case, we might not ever get to know the truth.
Loona, Purple Kiss and Lesserafim are part of my Top 4 girl groups and they have at least ONE member who left the group. Garam's contract termination shocked me because HYBE was very adamant on keeping her and then she's no longer part of Lesserafim. I was very sad when Jieun left Purple Kiss but she left for health reasons and I hope she continues to do alright but not even a week after Jieun left and Chuu was expelled from Loona which was crazy (and pretty much just proves what a circus BBC is). The only gg in my Top 4 who still has their original lineup is Twice and I feel like they also broke the curse because all members renewed their contract even though there were some rumours that two or three members would not be renewing but they managed to beat all odds this year.
bbc all the more proving that the are worser than cube if they actually dared to kick the one money maker for their stupid clown of a company

I'm saddest about Purple Kiss' JiEun, that one really took me by surprise. 🥺 As someone who struggles with anxiety and knows first hand how debilitating it can be, I can't imagine how stressful it'd be being in the public eye on top of it... I wish her all the best!

waking up to see jinni leaving the group was such a slap to the face. no one saw that coming AT ALL. i really wish we could know the real reason but i respect the decision to just keep it private. it does seem weird cause everything is so sudden, but for now, i can only wish her the best and hope to see more of her in the future if she chooses to become an idol or even an actor.

There's more to Jiyoon's departure from Weeekly than what the official statement would want you to believe. Jiyoon herself went online and allegedly there were hints about her being forced out instead. In the same live, she requested the viewers to refrain from translating/sharing, as she's still under obligation to not speak up.

I woke up today with the news of Jinni and my heart broke, i fell in love with nmixx and jinni more specifically during predebut era and it truly saddens me for her and the group. I hope we get to know more of the circumstances of her departure because something feels not right imo. I hope the group is doing okay and i know that they are going to pull through. 1 thing for sure is that i will continue to support Jinni if she ever re-debuts because that girl is talented.

Outside NMIXX, I find the Blackswan departures the most confusing. This is a group that already has had an INCREDIBLY fraught history and I thought they had finally found stable ground to stand on after “Close to Me” seemed to do well. Then, randomly, this group is running on a “graduation system” that kicked out their only remaining Korean members? Something just isn’t adding up but I’m still wishing the best for Judy, Youngheun and Blackswan.
No it does add up, the company is as terrible as it has always been it just did a slightly better job hiding it for a while hahaha
Chuu and Jinni’s departure is just unexplained and was also unexpected. I know a lot of people may think Chuu actually abused her staff but she didn’t she is a sweet loving person and for Jinni that just came out of the blue and it just feels like another Woojin situation. Honestly i don’t know if nmixx will be the same without her because she is the one I’ve stanned since pre-debut and her vocals were powerful.

I mean people who are struggling don't want other people that look up to them in a vulnerable position, I mean all of us are guilty of saying we're fine when we're not, so she could have just been putting up a façade to not worry fans, but we likely wont know, unless a member talks about the situation, which is unlikely if jyp has chosen to protect the reason why jinni has decided to leave for her own privacy.
@@herozero8809 yes but normally when someone suffers from depression or that their mental health it's not the best, they will try to not talk, and if they talk they wouldn't be talking abt the future when they know that they are gonna to be leaving idk if it makes sense. Bc if i'm depressed i will not be like "next week i'm gonna hang out with my friends" when ik damn well that i'm not. So it's very suspicious that she's looking forward to their next comeback and then she leaves. If she knew that she wasn't alright she wouldn't have say it.

And I predicted that Gyuri was likely to leave Frommis because she always seemed a bit distant from the other members, with a fixed smile. I think she liked the opportunity and exposure that winning to be in the group gave her, but that she wanted to be elsewhere. I've liked her since her pairing with Chuu in that webdrama... and wish her the best.
Most sad about Pixy members. That physically hurt and still does. From what I've seen, at least Ella and Satbyeol look like they're doing well.

Waking up to your friends pinging you on discord, saying that your ult group just lost a member is such a devastating feeling. I'm fairly new to kpop (got into it last December) and I fell in love with NMIXX. They were my absolute favorite, and I loved each member dearly. Jinni's departure was such a shock to me. I have never cried so hard over an artist. It might take few days for reality to finally sink in, but I'll be okay as long as she left on her own volition. I'll keep supporting her and the rest of the members wherever they may go next. Jinni may not be in the group anymore, but NMIXX is and will always be 7 in my heart.
So coming INTO 2022, we knew that it was absolutely going to world war: GG. We were about to see the likes of Le Sserafim, BILLIE, NMIXX, New Jeans, etc come into the market which already had the likes of IVE and Kep1er leading the charge from 2021. By all accounts, it was nuts.
This is the other half of that equation. As these girl groups compete for your attention (get it?), some groups will ultimately experience a few troubles and members will start leaving due to frustration. It was amazing for fans of GG's in general, but cutthroat for the many, many competing GG's that debuted this year and recently.
tbh this year was bad for kpop (and parts of Korea in general), so many bullying scandals, hiatuses, and losses :/
I am so sad at jinni leaving 😭😭. I started to like the way she delivers her parts and her solid dance skills . Why has she left😭😭😭😭
I’m really sad that Jinni left JYP I was honestly really getting to know the members and I really liked Jinni so it was a shame to hear of her departure :( but I wish her the best! Also Yuehua better not throw EVERGLOW away because they are all way too talented!!!
I was honestly thinking that if one person falls down many people falls down the domino effect it just leads more people either leaving or getting kicked out
I was heartbroken to hear of bugAboo's disbandment, since they were my ult girl group. I've been a fan of Eunchae and Choyeon since produce days, and I remember being really excited for their debut with bugAboo. It's sad that their career as a group was so short. Thankfully, their discord server is still up with the members still active, and they've all made personal Instagram accounts now, so it's not all bad.
It'd be something else if Chuu was suddenly removed for harassing staff but it's hard to believe since Loona has existed for several years and this wasn't an issue until she sued Blockberry. 🙃
Even if it were true, it shows to me Blockberry didn't actually care for their staff until they wanted to take revenge. But it's even worse if it's fake because they're trying to destroy a young woman's image and career out of pure bitterness.
For Everglow, it hasn't been confirmed that a member is leaving. They are still together for now
i love jinni she was so eye catching, charismatic and so pretty the sudden news of her departure really made me sad, 6 years of training basically your entire childhood just gone i wonder what happened hope she's okay
so many of them left for "personal reasons" which could've actually been real (like Jiho and Gyuri) or just some excuse the company made (cough, cough, IST). we don't really know what happens to them behind the scenes whether they're struggling with their health or shit is happening in their companies so i hope these idols are okay :
everglow is not disbanding! the tour was horribly mismanaged. the organizers announced the tour only one month in advance, and since the start SEA forevers have been open about how it was not enough time to take leave, especially since some of the dates were on weekdays. on top of that, the organizers and yuehua didn't try to promote the tour at all. so many people didn't know it was happening until it was canceled, and i've seen many people shocked by the lack of promo. their kazakhstan/kyrgyzstan tour was run by a different organizer who did a really good job at promoting, and they had no problems at all. it just pisses me off that people will only see the SEA tour and regard it as a failure on everglow's part, when it's yuehua who failed them once again

Most disappointing:
1. BVNDIT. These girls had so much potential. "Hocus Pocus" was an OK debut, but "Dramatic" got them a lot of buzz for an indie group and MNH Entertainment generated a lot of positivity by not only pushing out two more comebacks but several bonus singles over the course of the group's first year. PLUS MNH wrote off the members' trainee debt as compensation for the two year delay in BVNDIT's debut due to Chung Ha being pulled out of the group and debuting as a soloist. Through mid-2020 the future looked promising for BVNDIT...And then MNH threw that all away by mismanaging the pandemic so badly that BVNDIT suffered through a two year hiatus, seeing their already-delayed careers fading away (not to mention coming close to ruining Chung Ha's career as well). A competent company could have easily built them up over time - even their final comeback "Venom" showed strong growth even after two years. It just did NOT have to be this way.
2. bugAboo. Turn the clock back to autumn 2021; A-Team Entertainment seemed to be doing EVERYTHING right to strongly launch bugAboo. Beyond leveraging the popularity of members Choyeon and Eunchae from Produce48, A-Team did a TON of top-quality pre-debut content, and the debut itself was very well done and well-received for a small company group... but then A-Team wasn't just any small company, as it was basically the personal project of star composer/producer Ryan Jhun. Jhun poured his talent into bugAboo's debut and it showed. And then a nine-month wait for a comeback, which turned out to be another single with a dramatically smaller budget and which lacked almost any input from Jhun. Shortly after promotions for "Pop" ended Jhun had signed with a different company (huh? you're CEO of an agency and...sign with a different and new company with only one other artist? *head scratching*.) Ryan Jhun completely failed bugAboo and left them to wither, reflected by Kim Choyeon pointedly unfollowing Jhun on social media the day after the disbandment.
3. LOONA. This should have been LOONA's year. Queendom 2, successful comeback, world tour. We SHOULD be talking about how LOONA is finally reaching the heights they have been working towards since the first pre-debut songs. Instead...despite Blockberry Creative's claims that a comeback is being prepared, virtually no one believes that or can see any way forward for the group under their current company. Even if the members could be convinced/coerced into recording a comeback sometime in 2023 (an overwhelming IF regardless of whether the reports are true of nine members filing for suspension/termination of their contracts), Orbits are pledged to boycott and the Chuu situation is so public that any comeback would be dominated by questions about all of the drama surrounding Blockberry's treatment of Chuu and the other members. LOONA is the one group on this list that I WANT to disband - even if they aren't able to continue as a group elsewhere - simply because the members all deserve a better career than what they're getting under Blockberry.
Special mention: CLC. The CLC disbandment is old news at this point - even though we didn't know about it until later it's clear CUBE ended the group immediately after "Helicopter" promotions in 2020. But what happened with CLC from 2015-2020 should be examined and studied for years to come as a textbook example of how NOT to promote an idol group. CLC's incredible talents were wasted by the company's stubborn indifference, poor management choices, ownership changes, and inability to settle on a concept that suited the members. At least most of the members seem to have landed on their feet, although Elkie destroyed her international popularity and any chance she had of ever working in South Korea again by making statements supporting Chinese government policies and North Korea.
dude, CLC sales ARE REALLY BAD ! for the first 4 years, they could not even reach 10k ! and their last comeback Helicopter ONY got ~25k where groups like STAYC are getting 200k ! not to mention their SUPERSTAR sister group idle ... 'talent' ? sure they are talented but are they better than GIDLE / ITZY ? do they have the charisma of IVE / Aaespa ? NO ...
@@Dino-pk5hc I will absolutely admit that CLC's sales were terrible. Just based on sales alone, yes, they were going to get cut. BUT...CUBE has to take responsibility for doing virtually nothing over five-plus years to build them up. The best comparison is with Dreamcatcher, who also debuted as a cute concept (MINX), also revamped/re-debuted in a darker, more mature concept literally the SAME WEEK that CLC's "Hobgoblin" was released, and also were from a smaller company that had to make tough decisions about how to promote the group. Happyface Entertainment/Dreamcatcher Company put immense work into growing the fan base with regular comebacks, special clips in between comebacks, regular touring and just enough lore to generate more hype about comebacks. Whereas, CUBE only reluctantly approved the "Hobgoblin" concept shift, never fully backed it ("Where Are You" was a good song but the WRONG song to follow "Hobgoblin" with), left CLC on hiatus for a year TWICE, never sent them on tour, and did very little in between comebacks to boost the group's visibility. If CUBE had provided the same level of support and promotion to CLC that Happyface did during Dreamcatcher's early years, CLC would have sold many many more albums - just like Dreamcatcher has.

I remember they guested in a variety show together with other rookie groups and even Fromis_9 is MORE entertaining and funnier than them .... even Yujin STILL cannot do vlive ALONE ...
@@Vektorix28205 they literally topped the charts in japan months into their japan debut but never got sent back... if this was actually about sales cube would have just sent them to promote internationally but they never did sorn had to book their international gigs and the girls paid their own flights and hotels to perform for international fans. they were also always on billboard world albums chart every year from 2017-2020 and they had some of the highest itunes charts for ggs in 2020 with me and devil topping the charts months after release because cube didn't upload digital singles to one of the largest digital music stores... also sales for 3rd gen have always been lower than 4th with the exception of the huge groups like its apples and oranges to compare 3rd gen artists. plus their albums were never in stock and half their discography wasn't even listed on the cube store.

For Jinni, it’s literally so much more shocking… she trained for 6 years, only had been an idol for 10 months, and was talking about her future with NMIXX and nswers just 2 days ago.. I don’t want to speculate, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t her decision
Of course all the Loona situation has me in shambles and constantly thinking about the future of the girls and the group and their previous discography and a lot of things.
But mainly the girls safety and happiness.
I do hope a sort of light at the end of the tunnel can be seen soon.
Other than that, I discovered I Chillin and Pixy during Flip That promotions, and I like both groups, so I'm also sad and surprised they lost members this year

few days after the chuu removal happened, 9 loona members (excluding vivi and hyunjin) reportedly filed injunction to suspend contract with their company
it’s believed that vivi didn’t sign it because she’s a foreigner and has a visa (that’s a thing that lets her stay in korea because she works here) if her contract with bbc ended, it would be complicated to stay in korea (i dont understand this topic very well)
hyunjin had some upcoming activities in bbc so it’s belived she will file the injunction after her activities are done
also if yaal not confused enough, bbc had made a statement saying that loona is going to have a 11 member comeback in early 2023
so yeah the loona situation is really confusing rn we’ll see how it turns out

To better explain Vivi's situation: She is in Korea on a work visa that Blockberry controls. The work visa basically states that she can only stay in Korea as long as she is employed. So if she did decide to leave Blockberry, the work visa wouldn't be valid anymore and she would be deported back to Hong Kong. She could stay if she finds a new company or job quickly, or if she files for a new visa.
Jinni looked great and everything was fine. So when I found out she left I promise you the world went silent for a moment. I just hope NMIXX is going to be okay without her and Jinni be okay without them. I just wished we could have had some kind of a warning before she left so abruptly. :( NMIXX's 1 year debut anniversary is in 2 months and she didn't even make it till then. It's actually so sad because she was so passionate about what she did and she slowly started being sick of it. NMIXX even attended MAMA and she really seemed okay. She even stated on BBL that she was excited for NMIXX's future comebacks and promotions but then we find out she leaves the group ASWELL as JYPE as a whole is devastating. Some people speculate that even Bae is soon to leave because of mental health reasons. I'm just gonna miss Jinni so bad :( NMIXX will never be the same.

I can’t remember where I read this but I heard someone say that Weeekly’s Jiyoon actually got kicked out from group against her will and that she didn’t even want to leave in the first place despite her mental health issues, it really frustrated me knowing this because she was an indispensable member to the core of the group, I was even more heartbroken
1. Brokeberry Creative is so petty. Good luck to the LOONA girls trying to get their money.
2. I hope the CLC girls consider re-banding or collaborating more with each other. It seemed like they had a vision of how CLC should've been ran that Cube was never able to execute properly (e.g., losing momentum after 'Hobgoblin'). I don't think the girls were done showing the world what CLC was capable of, but I'm happy they're out of the Cube dungeon.
if anyone’s wondering what orbits (loona fans) are speculating, here’s the general consensus i’ve seen
idk if there’s been evidence of this but a lot of fans are saying the girls (all 12) are not getting paid and are just generally being mistreated. i think in the past the girls (particularly hyeju, yves, gowon & chuu) have spoken about not being allowed to eat at times even when they were working extensively. earlier this year chuu filed a lawsuit with bbc, i think filing claims of abuse but i could be wrong; im not positive. right now a lot of orbits are leaning towards boycotting bbc as a whole and not supporting any future loona comebacks, especially since all of the members-with the exception of vivi and hyunjin-have filed injunctions with bbc to terminate their contracts. the first thing any of the girls said after the news about chuu broke was that loona is 12 (from hyunjin.) like i said, as far as i’m aware there’s no evidence of the girls not getting paid and/or being mistreated, (though if you know of any feel free to reply) but considering that the majority of the group is trying to leave it’s becoming kind of clear that being at bbc is not what they want anymore. to support them we are asking everyone boycotts bbc, and that means no streaming of their music, videos, (even the color coded lyric ones, it doesn’t matter if bbc didn’t post them, they still count) purchasing of their merchandise of any kind and overall trying to speak in the only language this company seems to understand: money. we have to hold back on giving money to bbc in any way so they know we’re here for the girls first and foremost. even if you don’t stan loona, pls help us help the girls by not supporting their rumored upcoming comeback. thank you.

I'm here because of Jinni. But I'm deeply familiar with every girl group. Weeekly Jiyoon's circumstances are a bit more suspect than just her anxiety hiatus. In follow on posts from her, it seems like she was removed from the group. Maybe seen as a liability, but it was not cordial and from both sides
It’s also a good year too. Lots of new incredible talent. Lots of attention focused on girl group songs and choreography. Dreamcatcher finally won. I have seen more press and buzz around girl groups than boy groups in 2022, but now there is more fierce competition so that will make things harder overall for girls
Btw both lightsum members didn’t leave Cube. Don’t think that Lightsum will get a more girl crush concept because they don’t suit it. I think more that they will have a concept or sound like April Lalalila and Wjsn.(only speculations)

Tbh when I booked my Everglow concert ticket for Thailand few days after it opened, 80% of all of the seats were still empty. Same thing in Malaysia too. The problems were it was announced too late (one month before concert), the dates were on weekdays, & too little promotion. Some of the fans didn't even know they were going on tour.

I was most sad about Ella and satbyeol leaving Pixy :( Pixy was my ult group and they were still rookies when Ella and satbyeol left. Pixy brought me a lot of happiness and I love the group and members a lot. I kinda knew Ella would leave because she was on hiatus for her health and she had also left Cherry bullet when she was in that group, but I didnt see satbyeol leaving Pixy as she wasnt on hiatus and it just came out of nowhere. Pixy has such big potentional as a group and also the members and I had hopes that they would stay together as a group for many years. I also had hopes that they would one day become a sucsessful group. I still wish the best for all the members and Ella and satbyeol, and hope that they all have a good future.
I think Cube is doing with Lightsum what they did with CLC in 2015 but backwards. After the promotions for their second mini album they returned to be TRAINEES, and then in their third mini albums Elkie and Eunbin were added to the group. Same thing with Lightsum but instead of adding members they removed them.
Jinni's departure had to have been against her will. There was no supposed filing for termination, no foreshadowing towards this even & actually anticipation from the girls for their next CB. This must've been against her will and without her consent & is extremely illegal.
Her family confirmed she choose to leave the group so it's best we wait and see

She was the most pushed predebut and is the 2nd centre of the group. She literally does the Nmixx for the switch ups in their songs. She is one of the 2 visuals of the group. She would have to have done something really bad for JYPE to kick her out. Are you seeing how this speculation is going? That's what leads to even more rumours that Jinni might have been sacked because of bad behaviour or some other crazy rumour that could lead to a Woojin 2.0 situation. We should have learned by now not to create our own narratives as a kpop fandom because there are people out there who would see such a comment spread it round. The company said that she left for personal reasons. Why the need to speculate? Why the need to create false narratives? Let's just accept the statement for what it is until either party comes out and speaks more about it.

Treasure is from YG and has had success but should be much more renowned considering, nmixx also should be at twice or itzys level according to history but they're not, purple kiss are definitely underrated, not sure about oneus but the main thing Ive heard about them was about ravn leaving so

6 is really a CURSE. If a gg is 6 members, they lose a member or have a so much hate/problems. If they arent 6, they become 6.
I think this was the best year for girl groups. Sure i think moments like Gyuri leaving Fromis, Chuu being kicked out of Loona (BBC will burn in hell for that), couple of disbandments that really sucked but musicly it was a really good year for them. To be honest even when i tried i couldn't place any boy group songs on my Top20 list because the girls were rocking it.
Jiyoon was my bias in Weeekly and im happy there was no issue with her leaving. I was sad, but always supportive of health, both mentally, physically and emotionally

This year has just been a mess. It’s so sad that groups are just being torn apart like this. I don’t like seeing all this. It’s all very heartbreaking.
Pixy debuted as 6 members group in 2021 are now 5 members group like your video 6 members curse. My biais was Ella the main vocalist, she is for me the best vocalist forever in all girlsband vocalist members, i was so sad when she left and i was surprised, shocked for Satbyeol's departure when she was here in their recent comeback, US concert in July then their company announced her departure in August and her rap position was given to the new member teased in Villain and Rinji was introduced and debuted in Pixy Europe tour and rap Satbyeol's part, it was so sad

These girls have a fantastic discography and made themselves quiet a big name in the industry. It would be simply not understandable if Yuehoe throws all that away by removing Yiren or even let the group disband
As a forever I'm super worried for my girls, so I'm hoping more kpop stans will acknowledge their talent and save them by rooting for the group
It's amazing how the beginning with kpop stans saying that girl groups were dominating this year and now... very unexpected and especially strange
bugAboo disbanding hit me hard yesterday. Unlike some of the other disbandments this year, this one really came out of no where and was a shock to me. Both their title tracks did relatively well for the size of their young fandom and small company, but I heard that it was album sells that got them. ATEAM is a small company and they pumped a lot of money into bugAboo. My guess is that they just couldn't afford it. They took the girls on tour in Japan, but judging by the behind-the-scenes footage I saw of the concerts, they weren't exactly huge events... and they didn't even fill out the community theaters they were playing in. So I guess that cost ate it too. I'm just really sad as bugAboo made good songs and had the makings of being a great group given time. I just hope the girls have a chance to sign on to other companies and debut elsewhere.
BUT, the thing that's hit me the hardest is Ji Eun (from Purple Kiss) leaving the group due to mental health issues. I won't lie, it almost made me cry knowing that she was smiling so brightly publicly while hurting so much in private. I'm going to miss her in Purple Kiss as well. I know she wasn't one of the standout members like Swan, Yuki, or Dosie, but I still think she added a lot to the group. Of course I want her to get the help she needs, but I'm going to miss Ji Eun - was one of my favorites. It's just sad she never got a moment that was just her to allowed her to shine.
Shoutout to BVNDIT as well. I only just got into them on their last comeback, only for them to disband. I wish I knew what happened, but given they were from a smaller company I can't only guess it's the same issue with bugAboo.

Compared to some, Oh My Girl and Fromis_9 departures were really peaceful.
Some people were confused why Gyuri left when Fromis_9 are finally picking up the steam and having more success, but it’s precisely why her choice was good - busier idol life probably would’ve mess up any possibility of acting at the same time. As such, it’s kind of beautiful that despite the sadness of her leaving, everyone is getting what they wanted from their careers.
this year has been amazing for girlgroups music wise but behind the scenes its been a bit weird. in general girlgroups have been in the spotlight for the majority of this year
I remember hearing the news CLC were disbanding I was sad for weeks because they were my ult group since 2020 they got me through quarantine and hearing my one comfort group was leaving the kpop industry but I was happy because they finally were free from cube

overall i think this year was carried by Girlgroups , so many bomb gg's debuting, charting high, sweeping awards, sales.. etc etc. with some shocking thing happening as well. girlgroup is all we heard this year.
i hope for the best who faced difficulties and all the best to all who stepped up this year in terms of success
I genuinely feel this is an issue of Kpop as a whole, I remembered back in 2016 (when I started to hear kpop) it was either the group as a whole or getting disbanded, they were a few instances where a member left, but that was 2 or 3 cases a year, not as dramatic as this past years. I think the issue become more apparent since 2019. Idk I feel as Kpop it's getting more mainstream the idols either have more pressure, the companies have even more expectations or the aftermath of c*vid that messed up a lot of companies.

Satbyeol ex-member from Pixy (maybe she was kicked out the group) because she was in Vilain comeback to June to July + their US convention performance at the end of July 2022 she was here but then their agency said Satbyeol will return to South Korea for health issue but at the end of August Allart announce Satbyeol's departure it was WTF shocked
I was most sad about ella and satbyeol leaving pixy because i just got into the group a couple weeks before they left and they were my biases :( very sad i didn't get a chance to experience a comeback and new era with them :( of course i'm still gonna support the rest of the group, its just a little heartbreaking my two favorite members left so soon :(
I think, I need to rest from kpop for a while. This member leaving thing is really crushing me. It's like experiencing many heartbroken in a year..
