Dude i would have dropped a super high strung 289 ford with tunnel ram. Dual 4 pot tbodies with port injection, trick flow heads, all comp valve gear, BIG cam, ported mercruiser manifolds and a wet N2o system. Why that setup you ask? Because i own a '92 ski centurion with that exact setup but a prop drive and the thing is an absolute menace to ANYWHERE i shove off. On the engine dyno, barefoot, on 25% c16 75% 91 octane pump gas, and i add a 1/2 fluid oz of klotz supertech premix per gallon it made just under 500hp. Yeah think whatever you want i built the engine in my man cave 7 years ago and it still makes ALL the compression. The built 327 i had in it before had less compression and it blew up. I never sprayed it on the dyno but out on the water with around 800 lbs in the boat, wide open throttle im at 80mph and 5800rpm. I hit that button and she just SCREAMS all the way to 7500rpm and touches 110. Its not a ski boat at all. No boom, no fat sax, no bullshit its essentially a super fast pleasure craft. It has a KICK ASS stereo, telescoping shade setup i made myself from a few old camping tents i died black and square aluminum tubing. I made up my own detent system for raising and lowering it. At its lowest setting, the boat looks like a wagon. The top is perfectly level with the windshield. At its highest, i can stand up and im 6'5. I own my boat for $9,200. Thats only because i do ALL the work myself. It would 100% have costed over $50,000 to have it done.
