7:21 I do think the 285K has potential it just needs more cache. That would not only improve performance but also efficiency. For the next gen they should first of all have another gen on the LGA1851 Z890 platform and not drop it only after one generation. And for the 385K I would say it need newer architecture versions of the P and E core with more cache, to use the new battlemage architecture for the integrated GPU, to maybe have a little bit of a faster fabric that connects the tiles. And lastly maybe bump up the NPU a few TOPS to make it more useful. If they can deliver that then I think they have a shot at competing with AMD maybe. But thats a lot to ask and requires a big increase in transistor density. So unlikely..
9:02 well are they sold out or are there just non available? I have been waiting for my order for quite a while and just got new the delivery is delayed again. They say they haven’t gotten a single 285K in while they have the Ultra 7 and 5 in stock. I finally found a tray version because I couldn’t get a boxed one so bought that. Might return it within my return period to get a boxed one once they are available for warranty and stuff.
@ yeah I paid €699 which is €21 higher than boxed price. Since this seller was the only one who had then they also took advantage to sell the tray version for more while they are probably even cheaper. It’s really a paper launch! Or maybe they have difficulty with the N3B node and low yield and that’s why they have so many binned down CPU’s in the form of the 7 and 5.
I’m not sure why people expected the 285k to be amazing. It was a reset technically first gen of the new architecture this is all to be expected. It was just like 11900k people were so disappointed and technically the 10900k was faster but it was just a reset for 12900k
You have to release it it’s like free beta testing. Also because something doesn’t live up to your standards it doesn’t mean it’s trash. Everyone loves the 14900k and it’s pretty much on par with that with better power efficiency and higher workstation bandwidth. You’re one of those people that wanted it to be revolutionary and it wasn’t ever supposed to be that. Look at 1st gen Ryzen, he’ll even 2nd gen Ryzen it was terrible people laughed at it but it was just a stepping stone for AMD to get to where they are now. AMD would have never got to that point if they just waited to release a halo product. They needed the feedback the free beta testing its almost impossible to play out every scenario in a lab of your own engineers.
Intelhas not still relesed a 12 or 16 p-core 200 series So talking about Intel has been dethroned as huge youtubers do are just -well ,the current batch tech youtubers are gloating in how "bad" intels new are performing - that performance gap can be closed by 10,12,14,16 or even 24 p-pore models
@@asdfqwerty-u9n I am honestly an intel user- holding out for some hope of a performance patch that I just read about yesterday. Amd is obviously getting so much hype at the moment it that it’s borderline ridiculous. I did test the new core 9 ultra and it does have strong compute power for sure.

Can I just get a prebuilt with a r7 7800x3d and 4070 ti super or 4080 super for like $1500 please?
Sold out? Normal, they are not doing enough cpu, even them know this cpu would not sell a lot.
