Battleship only needs 1 or 2 Trappers, and 1 or 2 Bullet Spamming Tanks to become a good tank. Good Tank as in support, and a few kills. Trapper is a terrible tank for fighting, but some people want to use it just to help their team. That's basically what Trapper is.
Well the weakest tank in diep.io is a ramming fighter. Yes people think that ramming with a fighter is good but when your a fighter but not a rammer it is kinda easy to get to 1,000,000 score well why is fighter not a good ramming tank? well it is not a good ramming tank because its slower than a tri-angle it's like giving a free kill to a tri-angle how ambarasing? well another weak tank is the auto-smasher well its a good ramming and non-ramming tank but its slow than every tank in the game I mean sniper is better than it you can even kill it without bullet speed! and also a older version of diep.io there was x hunter mega smasher master and auto 4 mega smasher was the best tank in the game before it got removed with auto-smasher/landmine!

The BattleShip is actually pretty good, use it decently and maybe you'll get good results, you need to use the triangles like an overseer, not shooting them directly at the opponents
In my opinion overlord/necromancer are the most fun tanks to use. but spread shot/penta shot are the most effective and strong. spread shot= guaranteed 100k score :p

I know the system of penta shot to make it very powerful: 1.Side barrels.Use for attacking while penta is dodging frome being attacked by the enemy. 2.Last second barrels.Use for protection to prevent pentashot being killed. 3.Middle bullet.Use for attacking fast enemies and no canons enemies. 4.All barrels.Use for chasing,escaping,and killing dominators and alpha pentagon faster.
When I played as a spike, I got killed by drones, and that's how the Overseer classes became my favourite. Also, in survival mode, I had no trouble killing them as an Octo Tank.
Triple Shot is a good tank for farming and running away from lvl 45 tanks or lvl 30 couters, it can also easly deal lots of damange to rammers (including lvl 45 boosters, spikes and some anihilators) or kill them if don't run away from it.
lemme just tell you that I've gotten 157k with the trapper in ffa, only because everyone sucked lol. also I've gotten 286k with battleship in ffa, build was 0/1/2/7/7/7/2/7. (more reload is pointless). You can get really high scores with those tanks if you know how to make a great build, it's a lot of fun :D
3:10 I would agree with the battleship. Sadly, it takes all the bad parts of the overlord, and trip,es them, then gives you tons of drones to play with for a few seconds before they die.
The auto 3 is actually really good for getting levels fast and it can keep lower level melee guys away effectively. Just focus on the "auto" part and keep your finger away from the trigger at all times, the only problem with that tank was the driver tbh.
High speed Penta and Booster for me. But booster is nerfed soooo much. It's soooo slow now. There's no point in calling it booster anymore. They should rename it SLOWster. So I just use Penta now. The speed is why I choose Penta over Triplet
The reason you think Trapper sucks is because you're using it offensively, like a normal tank. It's a defensive tank that requires its own playstyle and if you've ever had a field of Traps then you know what I mean. The smasher is a really, REALLY strong tank if you use it right, but it's more of a placeholder for the lvl 45 tanks.
Even though that this video was made 1 year ago, the list of the weakest/useless tanks was so wrong xD. Smashers are more useful than the Auto Smasher, Smasher is actually better than some other tank too. Trappers are also useful as they're meant to be *PROTECTIVE* and not actually to kill the enemy.
If you are a noob and dont know how to play with smasher than its of course weak i constantly get #1 on scorerboard and have taken out every Tank already you just need to be clever

Ehm where is over trapper? I think it should be worse than normal trapper because normal trapper is crappy for a level 30 tank but over trapper is about the same but level 45.
TheMCpie the overtrapper's drones are the same as hybrid's ones, which dont seem very useful in most cases, but they tend to be. both tanks have the same stats in their traps, and the drones on the overtrapper can be useful. Its not a downgrade to upgrade to the overtrapper, but still not a good choice as theres the tri-trapper, gunner trapper and others.
Remember everyone. It is not about the tank. It's about the person who uses it. You can either throw the ball or roll it. It all depends on how hard YOU roll it that can make the difference, or how far YOU throw it. Or you know, you have a team, you can use that as well.
Ok, so in my opinion, battleship doesn't belong here. I've chosen the battleship for numerous occasions on domination because of how fast it takes out dominators if you focus fire and if anyone sneaks up the auto drones will attack!!
You should only be including fully upgraded lvl 45 tanks on this list because say the triple shot lvl 45 can be the triplet which is one of the best tanks in the game
Ok, I start this comment by stating the obvious; this video is quite elderly and many of these comments are over 3 years old; overall, this is just a game and in games you need strategy, skill and experience. Now, here is why every one of these comments that claim "battleship is amazing though" or "you're just not using it right/using the wrong build" is wrong: these tanks listed are quite accurate, even though opinions and bias were partly skewing the representation. Battleship: this tank can be good, yes, but it's capacity for usefulness comes short. Rammers eat it up if they know what they're doing, almost regardless of how good the Battleship player is. Bullet spammers wreck it, no problem. It's weaker than Necromancer, Factory, and Overlord in every aspect that comes from being in the drone class. It simply doesn't have the capacity to become great compared to other tanks at the same experience level/skill level. Triple shot: literally everyone should agree that this one is bad. The more focus you have in bullet spam, the better. That's why almost all guides to becoming a good Penta/spread player will state "skip and stay with twin". Trapper: it's good in mazs because of its defense and bottleneck strategy. However, without good teammates from *Stronger tanks* it falls short in the other game modes. Small tanks+skillful players can farm any trapper in FFA, no doubt about that. Smasher: Why? Why do this to yourself? This tank is worse than bullet spamming rammers by a long ways. It doesn't have the speed to efficiently kill. It has the capacity for a great defense, but when you're facing equally skilled opponents, you simply can't get away with anything. I don't understand why this needs to be discussed. It's a bad tank, but decent on the miraculous occasion that you're surrounded by players who don't know better. Auto 3: again, why is this even questioned? You give up all free will to incorporate skill into your gameplay, don't deny it. You can't ambush, you can't power rush, you can't do much except dodge, but a little bit of what I touched up on earlier - other tanks do it better. Before you feel insulted about having certain tanks of your liking put on a worst tanks ranking list, think about it in a non-biased way. All of these tanks can be good, and there are strategic ways of gaining advantage. But, there's the simple fact that other tanks can do these things better, which makes these worse. Get over it. Best anti-everytank team is: 2battleships 1-2boosters (scouts) 1overlord, 1gunner, 2anihilators, 2snipers and 2attack tanks(octo, triplet, quadra...) I built it... it took lots of time but now i know what guys are good for it... They play it everyday 16:00-18:00

Battleship is good in domination against the dominators, as when aiming at a dominator with correct spacing you’ll be out of range of the bullets and your drones go around the projectiles to hit the dominator
The spike can kill anything (except destroyer branch and some trappers, excepting gunner trapper) in my opinion, and im kind of experienced with that tank. If you search for spike high scores, you will find MANY of them, because its easy to use and its the strongest geteable tank in the game
A gunner trapper with 7 speed can avoid a Spike with max melee/speed stats, I've been able to push them back with my bullets enough and lead them to my traps and keep them away or kill them.
i don't even need that much speed you know that if you point your trap maker in the direction you're going it makes you go faster right? yeah I had 0 speed back then and all that I have to do was back shooting rammers while making traps that damages the rammers who still wants to follow
hmmm my least favorite and probably worst tanks are 1.Auto smasher 2. Triple twin(like srsly it can't run away and is very easy to shoot or ram into, however it is spectacular against drone tanks) 3. Quad tank(same thing like triple twin but it can't even ram, shoot, or avoid drones) 4.Auto three 5. Hunter (it is spectacular against rammers and one target shooters, but horrible against tanks like overlord, necromancer, manager, spread shot, penta shot, or even a twin or machine gun if it gets close enough)
My personal list would include, rather than some questionable level 30 picks : - Ranger : a bit underpowered, does not do anything except see far, and does not pressure any tank. Needs buff (in speed of bullet, to be a real sniper?) - Battleship (agree) : I love that tank, but so much wasted potential because the drones are so weak. I guess it would enter broken level otherwise, or else lose what sets its identity : drone spam - Tri-Trapper : the idea of trappers is to support your team, so 1 cannon will always end up shooting useless traps. And the traps do not last enough to build a good solo fort (I tested and found out that one Triplet was enough to break it - Overtrapper : 2. FUCKING. DRONES. It was not broken at 4, why did they nerf it? Honestly has no niche over Auto trapper, that isn't even super powerful - Auto Smasher : basically this is a ramming tank with a boost so little it does not even matter. Why use that when Auto Gunner (bullet), Auto Trapper (defense) and Spike (ram) exists ? It just has to get #1
my only defences are for the battleship and the trapper. the battleship is a PURLY offencive tank. its only defence is the fact that it is terrifying to fight against, and sure. once you hit the realisation that they cant do anything on the defencive, you can hammer away at em. but the moment they go offencive is the moment they start to reach the top of the leaderboard. shooting virtually millions of what is essentially the smaller version of hte overlord's ships is scary. especially when you remember what an overlord can do. they are a menace to defence against. and the trapper, yes. they are primarily defencive. and yes, they are best used in strategic play. they are more than capable of putting someone down. for example, making your own mazes. your bullets last long enough to do what i call "claiming territory." if you catch an enemy trying to bob and weave throuhg your land mines, you can just walk right up to them. if they try to B-line it out, they are screwed. if they try to shoot at you, they are screwed. it is essentially a spider's web.
Last time I used battleship i went on a killing spree, but maybe because i know how to use it. You just have to max out reload, bullet penetration, bullet damage, and bullet speed for the best
To he fair, all the tanks on this list except battleship are simply upgrade pathways. Triple shot becomes three good classes, penta, triplet, and spread shot. Trapper becomes 5 seperate powerful trapper classes, three of them with decent offense. Auto three becomes the sneaky auto gunner and auto 5, which are both quite good. And smasher is just temporary until spike or landmine. And battleship is good if you play it right, corrupt x just got 500k witn it.
The trapper is great as an anti-rammer, though(especially the mega trapper). Let them get as close as you dare, then aim straight at them and fire. Most of the time, you can tear them asunder with a single, well-aimed shot. (don't know why I said asunder, but oh well)
well, a Trapper and a Battleship ARE usefull. 2017 is like Smasher. Almost EVERYONE chooses it, go ahead Battleship! and a Trapper is handy, because ik anyone of your team sees you, they think:' It's save here' and BOOM in just 10 seconds you have a Skimmer, Hybrid, Stalker, Overlord, Spike and a Auto 5 in your building. It feels great to help your team.
Dude, the battleship is not one of the worst. In fact, it's one of the best. It may be slow, but being able to constantly produce little fighter's has its benefits, though rammers are the main threats to it.
I went with a speed build on the battleship and it made it a lot easier against snipers but that's about it, against high bullet penetrating tanks, it's a goner.
So basically three shot-side barrels, battleship-rammers, trapper-sheild, auto 3-fires automatically, and smasher-good attack? Wow, they are the weakest tanks, I'm not even lying.
I enjoy using the Spike, it requires careful positioning and great skill which is why I use it. It's not weak by any means. It can destroy any tank in one to two collisions.
I hate when people say in the comment section that the tank that gets critisized in ths video isn't bad because they got a good score with it. If it was impossible to get a good score with a tank, it would have been removed. Thus every tank can be used for something.
for me, I only use battle ship in team since I die instantly when I play alone as it, it's good for rammers since it spams a ton of drone so that could reduce their speed, you remember when devs told us that b.p.(bullet penetration) effects the damage of that bullet right? well if you mage to dodge it but others didn't then you could reduce the damage by spamming your bullet on it (this is very much of self sacrificing since you won't have anybody to protect you) you can only run from every class except rammers and maybe trappers, it can't kill big guys but it's a perfect class for toothpick noobs (little bitches who think can kill the whole board alone) also I noticed that he already put the rammer part up

Triple shot is bad at combat, but its good at farming cuz if you point your turret to the square, the other turrets from right and left will be shooting the other pentagon on the left and other traingle on the right
In my opinion, Necromancer should be on this list. It can easily be countered by the Destroyer branch, since the drones are weaker than Overseer, and it’s totally defenceless without the drones. Once your drones are killed, you’re dead, sir.
IDEA TO BUFF SMASHER: Make it faster, yep. :P Smasher is actually faster than all its upgrades by nature, new trivia (All tier 1-3 tanks are faster than all their upgrades)!
How about the auto smasher for #1? It is a Level 45 tank, and is basically a smasher with an auto gun on it, but unless you don't focus on the smasher's stats (health regen, body damage, max health and movement speed), that gun is going to be useless.

No, it is not. even with max speed, it's slower than pretty much all of its targets, and even WITH the max speed, it doesnt let them push through all the bullets from bullet spamming tanks. Face it, it's just a terrible tank.
Battleship? I love the battleship. Then again, I play domination almost exclusively so it's fantastic for penetrating the defenses of the dominator cannons AND also for camping behind them once they're yours to add your drones to the dominator defenses.
I'm surprised that Smasher is at #1 worst. It leads to the great spike and land mine and is effective for getting some good kills while also teaching dodging. A real good tank in a master's hands.

Triple Shot is a good tank for farming and running away from lvl 45 tanks or lvl 30 couters, it can also easly deal lots of damange to rammers (including lvl 45 boosters, spikes and some anihilators) or kill them if don't run away from it.
lemme just tell you that I've gotten 157k with the trapper in ffa, only because everyone sucked lol.
also I've gotten 286k with battleship in ffa, build was 0/1/2/7/7/7/2/7. (more reload is pointless). You can get really high scores with those tanks if you know how to make a great build, it's a lot of fun :D

The auto 3 is actually really good for getting levels fast and it can keep lower level melee guys away effectively. Just focus on the "auto" part and keep your finger away from the trigger at all times, the only problem with that tank was the driver tbh.

The reason you think Trapper sucks is because you're using it offensively, like a normal tank. It's a defensive tank that requires its own playstyle and if you've ever had a field of Traps then you know what I mean. The smasher is a really, REALLY strong tank if you use it right, but it's more of a placeholder for the lvl 45 tanks.

Even though that this video was made 1 year ago, the list of the weakest/useless tanks was so wrong xD. Smashers are more useful than the Auto Smasher, Smasher is actually better than some other tank too. Trappers are also useful as they're meant to be *PROTECTIVE* and not actually to kill the enemy.
If you are a noob and dont know how to play with smasher than its of course weak i constantly get #1 on scorerboard and have taken out every Tank already you just need to be clever

TheMCpie the overtrapper's drones are the same as hybrid's ones, which dont seem very useful in most cases, but they tend to be. both tanks have the same stats in their traps, and the drones on the overtrapper can be useful. Its not a downgrade to upgrade to the overtrapper, but still not a good choice as theres the tri-trapper, gunner trapper and others.

It's not that it's worse then the trapper, it's just that it's not much better and the alternatives are way better.

You can either throw the ball or roll it. It all depends on how hard YOU roll it that can make the difference, or how far YOU throw it.

Ok, so in my opinion, battleship doesn't belong here. I've chosen the battleship for numerous occasions on domination because of how fast it takes out dominators if you focus fire and if anyone sneaks up the auto drones will attack!!
You should only be including fully upgraded lvl 45 tanks on this list because say the triple shot lvl 45 can be the triplet which is one of the best tanks in the game
But a basic tank lvl 45 is real good so i dont see a problem in that list
Ok, I start this comment by stating the obvious; this video is quite elderly and many of these comments are over 3 years old; overall, this is just a game and in games you need strategy, skill and experience. Now, here is why every one of these comments that claim "battleship is amazing though" or "you're just not using it right/using the wrong build" is wrong: these tanks listed are quite accurate, even though opinions and bias were partly skewing the representation.
Battleship: this tank can be good, yes, but it's capacity for usefulness comes short. Rammers eat it up if they know what they're doing, almost regardless of how good the Battleship player is. Bullet spammers wreck it, no problem. It's weaker than Necromancer, Factory, and Overlord in every aspect that comes from being in the drone class. It simply doesn't have the capacity to become great compared to other tanks at the same experience level/skill level.
Triple shot: literally everyone should agree that this one is bad. The more focus you have in bullet spam, the better. That's why almost all guides to becoming a good Penta/spread player will state "skip and stay with twin".
Trapper: it's good in mazs because of its defense and bottleneck strategy. However, without good teammates from *Stronger tanks* it falls short in the other game modes. Small tanks+skillful players can farm any trapper in FFA, no doubt about that.
Smasher: Why? Why do this to yourself? This tank is worse than bullet spamming rammers by a long ways. It doesn't have the speed to efficiently kill. It has the capacity for a great defense, but when you're facing equally skilled opponents, you simply can't get away with anything. I don't understand why this needs to be discussed. It's a bad tank, but decent on the miraculous occasion that you're surrounded by players who don't know better.
Auto 3: again, why is this even questioned? You give up all free will to incorporate skill into your gameplay, don't deny it. You can't ambush, you can't power rush, you can't do much except dodge, but a little bit of what I touched up on earlier - other tanks do it better.
Before you feel insulted about having certain tanks of your liking put on a worst tanks ranking list, think about it in a non-biased way. All of these tanks can be good, and there are strategic ways of gaining advantage. But, there's the simple fact that other tanks can do these things better, which makes these worse. Get over it. Excuse me, why did u choose smasher, auto smasher is pretty much the same thing, but worse. You either have to use the same build as smasher and the turret will do nothing, or sacrafice hard earned points on the turret, which will decrese ur ram or speed power.

Battleship is good in domination against the dominators, as when aiming at a dominator with correct spacing you’ll be out of range of the bullets and your drones go around the projectiles to hit the dominator
The spike can kill anything (except destroyer branch and some trappers, excepting gunner trapper) in my opinion, and im kind of experienced with that tank. If you search for spike high scores, you will find MANY of them, because its easy to use and its the strongest geteable tank in the game
A gunner trapper with 7 speed can avoid a Spike with max melee/speed stats, I've been able to push them back with my bullets enough and lead them to my traps and keep them away or kill them.
ive got some experience with those builds, no gunner trapper was able to do me that
i don't even need that much speed you know that if you point your trap maker in the direction you're going it makes you go faster right? yeah I had 0 speed back then and all that I have to do was back shooting rammers while making traps that damages the rammers who still wants to follow
hmmm my least favorite and probably worst tanks are
1.Auto smasher
2. Triple twin(like srsly it can't run away and is very easy to shoot or ram into, however it is spectacular against drone tanks)
3. Quad tank(same thing like triple twin but it can't even ram, shoot, or avoid drones)
4.Auto three
5. Hunter (it is spectacular against rammers and one target shooters, but horrible against tanks like overlord, necromancer, manager, spread shot, penta shot, or even a twin or machine gun if it gets close enough)
My personal list would include, rather than some questionable level 30 picks :
- Ranger : a bit underpowered, does not do anything except see far, and does not pressure any tank. Needs buff (in speed of bullet, to be a real sniper?)
- Battleship (agree) : I love that tank, but so much wasted potential because the drones are so weak. I guess it would enter broken level otherwise, or else lose what sets its identity : drone spam
- Tri-Trapper : the idea of trappers is to support your team, so 1 cannon will always end up shooting useless traps. And the traps do not last enough to build a good solo fort (I tested and found out that one Triplet was enough to break it
- Overtrapper : 2. FUCKING. DRONES. It was not broken at 4, why did they nerf it? Honestly has no niche over Auto trapper, that isn't even super powerful
- Auto Smasher : basically this is a ramming tank with a boost so little it does not even matter. Why use that when Auto Gunner (bullet), Auto Trapper (defense) and Spike (ram) exists ? It just has to get #1
my only defences are for the battleship and the trapper.
the battleship is a PURLY offencive tank. its only defence is the fact that it is terrifying to fight against, and sure. once you hit the realisation that they cant do anything on the defencive, you can hammer away at em. but the moment they go offencive is the moment they start to reach the top of the leaderboard. shooting virtually millions of what is essentially the smaller version of hte overlord's ships is scary. especially when you remember what an overlord can do. they are a menace to defence against.
and the trapper, yes. they are primarily defencive. and yes, they are best used in strategic play. they are more than capable of putting someone down. for example, making your own mazes. your bullets last long enough to do what i call "claiming territory."
if you catch an enemy trying to bob and weave throuhg your land mines, you can just walk right up to them. if they try to B-line it out, they are screwed. if they try to shoot at you, they are screwed. it is essentially a spider's web.
Last time I used battleship i went on a killing spree, but maybe because i know how to use it. You just have to max out reload, bullet penetration, bullet damage, and bullet speed for the best
To he fair, all the tanks on this list except battleship are simply upgrade pathways. Triple shot becomes three good classes, penta, triplet, and spread shot. Trapper becomes 5 seperate powerful trapper classes, three of them with decent offense. Auto three becomes the sneaky auto gunner and auto 5, which are both quite good. And smasher is just temporary until spike or landmine. And battleship is good if you play it right, corrupt x just got 500k witn it.
The trapper is great as an anti-rammer, though(especially the mega trapper). Let them get as close as you dare, then aim straight at them and fire. Most of the time, you can tear them asunder with a single, well-aimed shot.
(don't know why I said asunder, but oh well)
well, a Trapper and a Battleship ARE usefull. 2017 is like Smasher. Almost EVERYONE chooses it, go ahead Battleship! and a Trapper is handy, because ik anyone of your team sees you, they think:' It's save here' and BOOM in just 10 seconds you have a Skimmer, Hybrid, Stalker, Overlord, Spike and a Auto 5 in your building. It feels great to help your team.

Dude, the battleship is not one of the worst. In fact, it's one of the best. It may be slow, but being able to constantly produce little fighter's has its benefits, though rammers are the main threats to it.
I went with a speed build on the battleship and it made it a lot easier against snipers but that's about it, against high bullet penetrating tanks, it's a goner.
So basically three shot-side barrels, battleship-rammers, trapper-sheild, auto 3-fires automatically, and smasher-good attack? Wow, they are the weakest tanks, I'm not even lying.

Right at the beginning of the video I was thinking that the Tank is the worst upgrade because these are not only level 45 tanks.
I enjoy using the Spike, it requires careful positioning and great skill which is why I use it. It's not weak by any means. It can destroy any tank in one to two collisions.
I hate when people say in the comment section that the tank that gets critisized in ths video isn't bad because they got a good score with it. If it was impossible to get a good score with a tank, it would have been removed. Thus every tank can be used for something.
for me, I only use battle ship in team since I die instantly when I play alone as it, it's good for rammers since it spams a ton of drone so that could reduce their speed, you remember when devs told us that b.p.(bullet penetration) effects the damage of that bullet right? well if you mage to dodge it but others didn't then you could reduce the damage by spamming your bullet on it (this is very much of self sacrificing since you won't have anybody to protect you) you can only run from every class except rammers and maybe trappers, it can't kill big guys but it's a perfect class for toothpick noobs (little bitches who think can kill the whole board alone) also I noticed that he already put the rammer part up
If you protect a battleship with a circle of trappers from the trapper then you can make it just stupidly powerful

In my opinion, Necromancer should be on this list. It can easily be countered by the Destroyer branch, since the drones are weaker than Overseer, and it’s totally defenceless without the drones. Once your drones are killed, you’re dead, sir.

How about the auto smasher for #1? It is a Level 45 tank, and is basically a smasher with an auto gun on it, but unless you don't focus on the smasher's stats (health regen, body damage, max health and movement speed), that gun is going to be useless.

No, it is not. even with max speed, it's slower than pretty much all of its targets, and even WITH the max speed, it doesnt let them push through all the bullets from bullet spamming tanks. Face it, it's just a terrible tank.

Battleship? I love the battleship. Then again, I play domination almost exclusively so it's fantastic for penetrating the defenses of the dominator cannons AND also for camping behind them once they're yours to add your drones to the dominator defenses.
I'm surprised that Smasher is at #1 worst. It leads to the great spike and land mine and is effective for getting some good kills while also teaching dodging. A real good tank in a master's hands.
