I think you might be right, but I just can’t tell how they’ll tackle the story structure from this trailer. Like it looks like we’re seeing prologue Abby and flashbacks of Abby’s past, and then it looks like we’ll at least see through Seattle day 2 with Ellie. Although we saw Isaac too and that’s the end of Abby day 1 I think soooo yeah idk
@@jmcman6104 They could also explain a bit more of Isaac and the Seraphites during Ellie's part. They don't have to stick to her POV as much since its not a game. It could be a opening sequence for some episode or something
letting you guys know that part 2 is going to be split into two or possibly three seasons, so we won''t see everything in season 2. and they actually have announced the casting for abby's friend group march this year, but, not for lev and yara. great reactions, can't wait to see you react to S2.
It's been mentioned that the game will be split in two seasons, and this one will have only seven episodes. There are also rumors that both seasons are being filmed at the same time. About the casting, the actors for Owen and Mel have been announced, but Lev and Yara are still unknown. My theory: what we'll see will be very similar to the game. That Joel scene happens at the end of episode 1, the rest of the season is Ellie and Dina going to Seattle peppered with the flashbacks and appearances by Tommy, Jesse, Abby and her group, Isaac and the Seraphites. The season will end with Abby confronting Ellie at the theater and cut to black. Season three will begin with Abby's first flashback and move on from there. That's why Lev and Yara have not been cast yet. About the porch scene, I think it has already been filmed because of Pedro's busy schedule but we'll only see it (at least in full) in season three.
The porch scene could be referenced in a flashback during some of Joel's or Ellie's scenes. It has a very specific significance with their relationship
They wouldn't have shown the porch scene in a teaser for season 2 if it's not for season 2. And they haven't shot anything for season 3 yet cause they haven't even got season 3 greenlit yet.
Not like that ... Non gamer audiences are ready and every excited for the second season of the series ❤🙂Because they don't know what's going to happen🥲
Just so you guys know, I have played Part 1 probably 50+ times on all difficulties. Played Left Behind ~30+ times. And Part 2, I'm estimating I have played roughly 80+ times. I have like 1,100+ hours on Part 2 alone. So yes, to answer your question, I **LOVE** The Last Of Us.
Just to help ya out a little bit. Owen, Mel, Nora & Manny have been cast and they’ll be in season 2. Yara and Lev have not you were correct on that. Probably won’t see them until Season 3. Also the “take on me” scene where Ellie is playing the guitar for Dina and the subway scene at the end of the trailer are both from Seattle Day 1 so we’re definitely going golfing no later than probably episode 4 of 5 (Season 2 is only gonna be 7 episodes).
So based on the trailer, I'm thinking either the show is not following the same timeline as the game or there were scenes shot early for Season 3 & 4 which are being shown now. We know, based on trailers for TLOU Part 2, that they like to manipulate predictions and expectations.🤔
I think season 2 will be the Joel scene with ellies 3 days in Seattle and season 3 will be swapping to abbys perspective. Craig mazin has said they might even need a 4th season to fit everything in story wise. The only thing I can think they'd Leave for season 4 is the California and maybe seeing if Abby and lev made it to the fireflies
I definitely want to see you gals play Part 2!!! Question: Have you played it already and this would be a 2nd (or 3rd or more) playthrough? Also would you gals stream here on YT or Twitch?
I hope they do kind of a parallel story telling on the show. My biggest issue with the game was that they did a poor job (imho) making me to care for Abby and her team, so theres hope if we see Abbys flashbacks pre Jackson, and they can expand on it, i know the actress is great so theres hope, that way if the final ep of s2 is the encounter it will feel less forced.
Druckman had announced that he would make significant changes to the story. Spoiler I think since Pascal is really important for the series and part 2 should even take 3 seasons according to recent rumors, Pascal will not leave so quickly. It could therefore be that the original concept of the game could come in the series. Originally, it was planned that Abby would actually infiltrate Jackson and get to know the people there. She first gets to know everything and everyone and she gets to know Joel. I don't see any companions of Abby in the trailer either. Which suggests that they will hardly play a role in the coming season. I therefore believe that we will see what happened in the game at the beginning at the earliest in the finale of the season. This could be the Cliffhanger. I think parts of the trailer already cover season 3. I also think that through the therapist we get the flashbacks in different points of view. The view of Ellie, Joel and Abby. Without Abby revealing what she is up to. I can also imagine that Abby and Ellie will also become friends in Jackson and that is ultimately the reason for Abby not to hurt Ellie when the time comes.
Mel, Owen, Manny and Nora have all been casted btw.
- Danny Ramirez as Manny
- Spencer Lord as Owen
- Ariela Barer as Mel
- Tati Gabrielle as Nora
I think the last ep will be the theatre from ellie's perspective

I am a massive TLOU fan and I absolutely loved both Part 1 and 2. Both games according to me was masterpieces.
Season 2 will only be 7 episodes as they're splitting Part 2 into multiple seasons (2/3) because there's a lot more content than the first game.😊

With the porch scene. I’m thinking it might play out in real time instead of a flashback. And I think season 4 could possibly be Santa Barbara.

“Golf club” scene will be the end of episode 2
We will get flashbacks just like in the game throughout the series.

They announced the casting for Abby’s crew a little while back. It’s on the official TLOU ig page.

yara, lev, mel, owen and nora have all been casted
I’m still convinced season 2 ends on a cliffhanger with Abby’s line in the theater “we let you live and you WASTED it!”
My guess? Season 2 is Jackson and Ellie's 3 days in Seattle and Season 3 is Abby's 3 days plus Santa Barbara.

I dont think it Will be the last episode . We saw a lot of Seattle and owen and the crew are already casted
Omg, yes, do a playthrough of part 2
The actress that plays abbey was Drake's daughter in uncharted 4 the epilogue

I do believe that Part 2 will be split into a Season 2 and 3 since the story is so long.
season 2 is split over 2 years.
last episode of s2 will be golfing with joel.... s3 will be abby's story. they are dividing s2 into 2 parts.
I hope they do kind of a parallel story telling on the show. Owen and the other have been casted and i think we will see the big scene in the beginning
Season 2 - Cliffhanger in the theatre.
Season 3 - Abby’s perspective/ theatre outcome.
Season 4 - Aftermath/Santa Barbara.
