      I went from plant based to carnivore, and I really can't relate to your verdict regarding which diet is better, but I do think it's a good thing that you're doing well on your current diet. I can't stand the vegan vs carnivore tribalism, personally. Whatever works for you, works for you. It's also a bit refreshing to see a carnivore to veganism conversion, for once. I don't like echo chambers and tribe wars. Which is why I'm a centrist 😂

      Well I guess it all depends on how you look at it... He felt great on carnivore for the first time... It wasn't until he left carnivore that he felt bad. So is it that he's not healing on carnivore, or is it simply that veggies aren't good for him? Eating more broccoli isn't going to make the broccoli feel any better any time soon.
      ... That being said, I'm not promoting carnivore; I think a whole food diet is best, while avoiding even whole foods that bloat or cause gas

    • @konstantinosantoniou2451
      @konstantinosantoniou2451 9 часов назад

      But of course. People on carnivore are very simple minded. They believe they ''healed'' themselves because their symptoms went away. They lack knowledge of how the body works. Most of world population is ignorant of their bad diet because the body is super resilient. The result is (very) premature death with diseases manifesting mostly at their last years.

    Biggest takeaway from these is always the same. We need more research on actual carnivore. It's hard to cite studies when people aren't doing them.
    None of the studies on plant based diets are in comparison to carnivore. Fibre improves all cause mortality.. compared to what? Etc etc. Of course a whole food plant based diet is healthier than pizza. So is a carnivore diet. Do the studies.

Probably better to get all calories from whole foods, though, but if there are no other options, then 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil might give you enough additional energy.. 3:40 VP, this might actualy help you. As I posted below I have a pair of crutches and get excrutiating pain and am a lifetime gout sufferer. Now I know you drink distilled water as you are reason why its the only water I drink. The thing is distilled water is very acidic. I purchased a water distiller and then I went 6 months a yr ago in gout hell and now I dont have gout and cured it by using baking soda. I think distilled water is excellent but you really need to counter the acid load somehow. You get gout from meat and drink distilled water. If you ever hehehe go carnivore again try adding in baking soda. I take 2 tsps a day, one in morning and one before bed.

    • @incorectulpolitic

      @@incorectulpolitic I am still drinking distilled. I was adding it in but then realized that it might be interfering with digestion so I just take it straight twice a day and away from meals.
      Funny thing...I had watched many youtube videos in past about gout and baking soda cure. The first time I tried it it sent me into crippling gout attack with 3 joints broken. i tried over the years and gout each time. Then I was reading up on allopurinal and how it makes gout worse at first and realized that is exactly what is happening. So I started with 1/4 tsp a day and worked my way up to 2tsp a day and it helped. I had mild outbreaks but now I am gout free for months. Reason for gout attacks as you get better is the baking soda (and meds) soften the uric acid to put it simply....and then your kidneys can flush it out of the system. When your uric acid goes up in bloodstream your more susceptible to gout...as best as I understand it. And for more proof of acidity being cause I cured my gout yrs back by just quitting diet soda. The distilled water was the only thing I noticed(6 months later) that caused the recent massive gout attacks.

      Are you doing carnivore?
      What I’ve come to learn is that the symptoms you’re experiencing is a sign of detox. Your body is releasing toxic content because by fasting, it gives your body more energy to start getting rid of garbage in your body (digestion takes a lot of energy, therefore slow or no detox).
      When you go carnivore, your body has a better chance to detoxify since you’re not “poisoning” yourself from junk or from plant toxins. Combine carnivore with fasting and you could get nasty symptoms for a while until your body releases it via skin, mucus, diarrhea, headaches, fever, and others.

    I am back and forth on diets lately....just like our lord savior Guru himself VP! Anyway, I find that I do rather well with starch and meat diet. Sugar messes me up big time if I eat everyday and I get crippled joint issues where I have a freaking set of crutches in my apartment. Yes that bad but when I go pasta,rice,potato and meats I am feel fine. The only issue I am having with food intake lately is a buildup of hunger for sweets that happens over a 5day period. This time I had chips and ice cream and Pepsi and donuts. Its ridiculous and if I can figure out how to avoid this I'll be in heaven.
    So, that said I am back to low carb only for its weightloss effect as I can eat very low calorie and not think of food 24/7. The thing I feel is detrimental is the carnivore or vegan line that is drawn. I feel lousy on pure meat based diet. Add in some carbs and feel amazing. But again that 5 day and sudden lust for sugar is mind boggling for me. I tried low carb for yrs and ate low carb snacks and they did nothing. It hit me a few days ago that what is happening is my serotonin is dropping over a 5 day period dropping me into depression and sugar (real sugar that forces a massive serotonin boost that artificial sugars don't) is the only way out. I drink once a week but lately been curbing this and OMG the sugar cravings on weekend is mind altering!! I think the drinking was curing this low serotonin somehow but if I drink every 2 weeks I guess once a week its potato chips,ice cream and Pepsi time! My last resort here could very well be some type of anti-depressant medication that prevents low serotonin aka serotonin re=uptake inhibitors. Problem is I dont go to doctors and i cant order drugs from Canada anymore! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr those were the days :)

    The problem honestly is people's understanding of what carnivore actually is. The true definition according to science (correct me if I'm wrong) is at least 20% of calories coming from animals. 70% would classify as hypercarnivorous. So you can literally eat animal based diet with a bit of carbs from fruit, honey, and some plants and still be carnivore. The extremes are always what hurt people.

  • @adm58
    @adm58 День назад

    There'a big difference between leaving carnivore & becoming vegan. Adding some plants/carbs to meat is nothing like vegan. I guarantee your present return to veganism will eventually result in the same disadvantages as it did previous times. Perhaps mix it up instead of so extreme. (I know, algorithms, views, etc fair enough)

There are so many had options out there that everyone you are around are eating all the time. So temptation is always there.

    You don't always leave carnivore because of something serious. Or if you have, you haven't explained it as such in your videos. In fact, you have stated, on one of your reversals back to carnivore, that you were doing well on carnivore, and only left because you are more ideologically attracted to plant based eating.

      @vegetablepolice  10 часов назад

      Umm no. I explained why I left carnivore in my 8 day dry fast video ruclips.net/video/JT4_ErgeHzc/видео.html
      You're probably talking about the time I left a keto diet back to vegan and did a 90 day juice fast. The spiritual attraction to veganism was only part of the reasoning for leaving.

    So glad you are back to vegan and especially raw and fruit! I havent left vegan in 3 years, just added zinc, selenium, iodine, vitamin d, but I have tried vegan keto last winter tho, and it didn't fix my thyroid, only fruit sugar did, so I had a second raw summer, but this time with lots of ripe sweet fruit. Also with greens, a bit broccoli, sprouted buckwheat (almost no nuts and seeds) and it was glorious 😍 in the fall just wanted some warm baked potatoes, lentil soups, but I'm considering doing high raw winter, and may be even sprout some lentils? Although still conflicted about the grains/gluten, it seems that a pseudograin like buckwheat is the safest, donno
    Anyway, thank you for telling the truth, even in the face of cult members (although it could be the fact that life is stressful so this groupthink gives people comfort, can't blame them),
    and thanks for the idea of fasting to reset the microbiome for vegans thinking about quitting, if I get my skin issues again, I will try that. But I would say adding zinc supplement helped,
    also a zinc cream - very cheap, very visible, and doubles as "mechanical sunscreen"
    Love your honesty ❤️ wishing you all the best on your journey

Ive also had severe constipation for probably the same amount of time. I go every day now. Acne sucks a bit from the dairy, or maybe its the occasional nuts and cheese. Dont know dont care. Sleeping is amazing and no way Im giving that up. Depression type stuff resolving. Energy is improving. Chronic bloat is gone. I can eat raw broccoli without issue (the yogurt mixed with mashed avo and lemon makes a great dip). Reuteri is amazing stuff y'all.

    Whenever a video discusses Vegan vs Carnivore the comments always says the Vegan diet failed me but when people quit Carnivore of complain about symptoms, Carnivores always respond saying, you doing it wrong! How many videos on mistakes to avoid going Carnivore. You can do Vegan wrong aswell! Not eating enough calories, eating too much fat or processed foods. So the double standard is so obvious. Whenever someone quits Carnivore the videos pop up from how this person ate the wrong way and that’s why the failed but these same people will never admit people that feels unwell try vegan to see if will help, being inexperienced they also make wrong food choices and maybe had a history of calorie restriction and eat to little calories because whole food plant foods are low in calories so easy at first to make mistakes eating vegan foods
