I agree that mostly raw plant diet is probably best. Not necessary high carb. You can do low-carb plant diet, but it's harder. Not sure if you should exclude all added refined oils. Probably better to get all calories from whole foods, though, but if there are no other options, then 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil might give you enough additional energy.. Also, good quality fish, from time to time, might be good.
have you ever been bitten by a tick? Some tics can cause allergic reactions to meat. The idea that animal proteins seem to affect you that way reminds me of a story I read about someone who had developed an allergy from a bite
Exact same thing happened to me, I had the ''Keto Rash'' but while on carnivore !!!! whole back chest , tummy and arms enveloped in thousands of red bumps. Only the legs were spared. lasted for months on carnivore. My gf freaked out. Whenever I eat carbs , bam, rash disappears after 4 days
Our pre-industrial ancestors were much more plant based with their diets. The majority of their diets were plants and grains with meat being more like a seasoning for the food and for special occasions. Usually more meat during winter, hardly any meat in spring/summer. There's also a clear line in European anthropological dental records where archaeologists can tell if a scull was before or after sugar was introduced to Europe. Which is pretty wild. ❤
@@jaegrant6441 Depends how pre-industrial you want to go. Pre-agrarian societies, hunter-gatherers, most certainly didn't feast on grains. They primarily thrived on meat, fish, organs and bone marrow.
@jaegrant6441 Most of the human species lifespan there was no agriculture and the majority food was hunted meat, meat can be found year round, fruit and veg can not. Even after agriculture meat was still the main staple of the diet, it just became meat plus grains. Its only very modern times that the carb heavy grain diet emerged and look what it's done to people.
In Finland there has been a drive for people to eat less meat and more vegetables. An interesting stat came up... the veggie eaters paid more visits to the doctors than the meat eaters.
It could be because people who would follow that advice are probably more healtg concious and so would be more likely to visit a doctor for small problems
3:40 VP, this might actualy help you. As I posted below I have a pair of crutches and get excrutiating pain and am a lifetime gout sufferer. Now I know you drink distilled water as you are reason why its the only water I drink. The thing is distilled water is very acidic. I purchased a water distiller and then I went 6 months a yr ago in gout hell and now I dont have gout and cured it by using baking soda. I think distilled water is excellent but you really need to counter the acid load somehow. You get gout from meat and drink distilled water. If you ever hehehe go carnivore again try adding in baking soda. I take 2 tsps a day, one in morning and one before bed.
@@incorectulpolitic I am still drinking distilled. I was adding it in but then realized that it might be interfering with digestion so I just take it straight twice a day and away from meals. Funny thing...I had watched many youtube videos in past about gout and baking soda cure. The first time I tried it it sent me into crippling gout attack with 3 joints broken. i tried over the years and gout each time. Then I was reading up on allopurinal and how it makes gout worse at first and realized that is exactly what is happening. So I started with 1/4 tsp a day and worked my way up to 2tsp a day and it helped. I had mild outbreaks but now I am gout free for months. Reason for gout attacks as you get better is the baking soda (and meds) soften the uric acid to put it simply....and then your kidneys can flush it out of the system. When your uric acid goes up in bloodstream your more susceptible to gout...as best as I understand it. And for more proof of acidity being cause I cured my gout yrs back by just quitting diet soda. The distilled water was the only thing I noticed(6 months later) that caused the recent massive gout attacks.
were you doing omad with carnivore? I was doing omad this last week and I'm pretty sure it was spiking the shit out of my cortisol making my hair/skin dry, face red, craving peanutbutter like crazy, maybe this fasting shit is actually an issue to consider, your body doesn't like eating a ton of shit at once
Are you doing carnivore? What I’ve come to learn is that the symptoms you’re experiencing is a sign of detox. Your body is releasing toxic content because by fasting, it gives your body more energy to start getting rid of garbage in your body (digestion takes a lot of energy, therefore slow or no detox). When you go carnivore, your body has a better chance to detoxify since you’re not “poisoning” yourself from junk or from plant toxins. Combine carnivore with fasting and you could get nasty symptoms for a while until your body releases it via skin, mucus, diarrhea, headaches, fever, and others.
Now that you’ve upgraded your system with the long dry fast I’d be curious to know how you tolerate the standard plant based diets. Like one of the ones Simon hill recommends. I’d bet it would be one of if not the best diets for you
Let's say you're on a carnivore diet and suffer a heart attack two years in. Did the diet cause it? Or did the diet actually delay the heart attack, and it would have happened sooner otherwise? It's impossible to say definitively.
Kasey... I do struggle on the meat... it's very boring and I never get over my carb-cravings... but honestly, whenever I do go off carnivore I feel sick... Everyone is different, I have always said that... My view is "do what works for you"... Eat what makes you feel the best. I do have a hard time choking down a Ribeye steak... at times... It is very hard to be carnivore for me, but when I eat vegetables I have so much abdominal pain and if I eat grains I have terrible joint pain... I was so many years whole foods vegan and was so sick.
I may be on the carnivore diet, myself, but I've never been a fan of Dr. Kiltz. I haven't followed him much, but I've never heard him say anything that I wasn't already aware of in the videos I have watched from him. His TikTok videos are also about as cringe as it gets. Not my vibe. Simon Hill is more of a no bullshit- type of guy. I don't always agree with his opinions, but at least he sticks to the topic of the discussion. And I respect his ability to mostly stay objective and refrain from dietary wars. I can't say the same thing about Kiltz.
It seems silly in my world to ask which is better , when I'm here to tell you BOTH you can have it all in moderation . But there are loads of people who have no choice , such as my recovering cancer patient brother who spend the last year using a feeding tube and now finally it has been removed and he turns out to have zero appetite for meat . So now he is vegetarian and he is fine with it but does not know (nor me ) what to expect in the future from such a diet . I hope to learn a little to help some .
after trying everything and even fasting from everything til it eliminated i can truly say that simple carbs (fruits raw best second steamed/stewed vegetables) and greens juiced (salads harder to digest) are the most optimal hueman nourishment in forms of solid food. once the body is clean fruits never give withdrawal symptoms everything else does
Sounds like you have never heard of this thing called steak. Steak and liver actually is the most optimal formula of nourishment. 1 cm3 of liver contains all the nutrients your body needs in a day.
Both ‘sides’ have endless health fixing and muscle/strength building anecdotes; one side has the fully proven healthspan and longevity, so for the forseeable I’m sticking as a happy, sigma, non-keto, plant-based nutritarian, fully randy vegan person aiming to spiral up and out at 115 years. But squirrel organs on veal toast.. hmmm so tempting.
50 canadian dollars to whoever can guess the exact date when he will get back on the carnivore ride, 75 if you can also guess when he will go back to vegan or fruitarian again after carnivore
That guy was some type of entity who was coming closer to take some of your life force energy. They really do that sometimes, it happens to me too. Please research and make an entertaining video about it😂!! Also, I have done a few 3 day dry fasts but feel like I might die if I went longer. I wonder if I continue doing the 3 dayers if it would eventually equal the results of the 8 day you did.
Errr, the rash you get from carnivore could be VitA (retinoic acid) oozing out of your skin. The theory is the liver will release excess VitA once the body realizes it no longer accumulates it from vegetables. I had a similar problem when I stopped most high VitA vegetables, I started to get very bad eczema. Grant Genereaux's website would give you more info.
People love feeling part of a group. Otherwise why even deal with all the labels and cult like behavior? Just say you’re an omnivore while you are experimenting and weight parts of the diet differently. By weighting plants heavily you end up with a very vegan skewed diet, but still allow yourself the flexibility to eat the occasional steak without feeling guilty.
If it's possible that low calcium was a problem for you, did you try to incorporate some dairy into your diet? Maybe some 600 ml of kefir with 2 tablespoons of honey could have helped and some more fruits like citrus for vitamin C.
Dr. Clit is onto something, maybe gut issues and fermentable fiber are a major cause of disease. You think an 8 day dry fast could help me? I'm already underweight.
He didnt do every version of carnivore he didnt do "actual" carnivore of raw meat not adding salt. BUT i could be wrong to be honest, this guy has "tried" anything, there is probably an "Only eat your ikea furniture and then workout 8 times a day but only if youre hanging upside down" diet in there.
Do you even do bloodwork?to see exactly how every diet affects you?and do you have an expert to interpret your bloodwork so you can make correct decisions? I just watched the latest video from Eddie Hall “the beast” and my mind was blown, especially at the later part of the video
I am back and forth on diets lately....just like our lord savior Guru himself VP! Anyway, I find that I do rather well with starch and meat diet. Sugar messes me up big time if I eat everyday and I get crippled joint issues where I have a freaking set of crutches in my apartment. Yes that bad but when I go pasta, rice, potato and meats I am feel fine. The only issue I am having with food intake lately is a buildup of hunger for sweets that happens over a 5day period. This time I had chips and ice cream and Pepsi and donuts. Its ridiculous and if I can figure out how to avoid this I'll be in heaven. So, that said I am back to low carb only for its weightloss effect as I can eat very low calorie and not think of food 24/7. The thing I feel is detrimental is the carnivore or vegan line that is drawn. I feel lousy on pure meat based diet. Add in some carbs and feel amazing. But again that 5 day and sudden lust for sugar is mind boggling for me. I tried low carb for yrs and ate low carb snacks and they did nothing. It hit me a few days ago that what is happening is my serotonin is dropping over a 5 day period dropping me into depression and sugar (real sugar that forces a massive serotonin boost that artificial sugars don't) is the only way out. I drink once a week but lately been curbing this and OMG the sugar cravings on weekend is mind altering!! I think the drinking was curing this low serotonin somehow but if I drink every 2 weeks I guess once a week its potato chips, ice cream and Pepsi time! My last resort here could very well be some type of anti-depressant medication that prevents low serotonin aka serotonin re=uptake inhibitors. Problem is I dont go to doctors and i cant order drugs from Canada anymore! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr those were the days :)
Protein has the amino acids that the body needs to make detox chemicals. If you have accumulated toxins like cellulose in your body without a way to detox then they'll never go away. So just because you have no rash that doesnt mean the issue isnt still there.
The problem honestly is people's understanding of what carnivore actually is. The true definition according to science (correct me if I'm wrong) is at least 20% of calories coming from animals. 70% would classify as hypercarnivorous. So you can literally eat animal based diet with a bit of carbs from fruit, honey, and some plants and still be carnivore. The extremes are always what hurt people.
There'a big difference between leaving carnivore & becoming vegan. Adding some plants/carbs to meat is nothing like vegan. I guarantee your present return to veganism will eventually result in the same disadvantages as it did previous times. Perhaps mix it up instead of so extreme. (I know, algorithms, views, etc fair enough)
I did both sides, but for my type carnivore works the best. But i have an autoimmune disease, so results may vary. I have to disagree with you any diet takes discipline to stick with. There are so many had options out there that everyone you are around are eating all the time. So temptation is always there.
You don't always leave carnivore because of something serious. Or if you have, you haven't explained it as such in your videos. In fact, you have stated, on one of your reversals back to carnivore, that you were doing well on carnivore, and only left because you are more ideologically attracted to plant based eating.
Umm no. I explained why I left carnivore in my 8 day dry fast video ruclips.net/video/JT4_ErgeHzc/видео.html You're probably talking about the time I left a keto diet back to vegan and did a 90 day juice fast. The spiritual attraction to veganism was only part of the reasoning for leaving.
Eating is ruining everything. Here it comes again, the time where i am again COMPLETELY CONFUSED and everything is bad. I'll just drink water and eat nothing ... :S but what water :SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS nah, everything is posion, just beam us up, what is the reason for all this sh*t 😅😅😅😅😅
So glad you are back to vegan and especially raw and fruit! I havent left vegan in 3 years, just added zinc, selenium, iodine, vitamin d, but I have tried vegan keto last winter tho, and it didn't fix my thyroid, only fruit sugar did, so I had a second raw summer, but this time with lots of ripe sweet fruit. Also with greens, a bit broccoli, sprouted buckwheat (almost no nuts and seeds) and it was glorious 😍 in the fall just wanted some warm baked potatoes, lentil soups, but I'm considering doing high raw winter, and may be even sprout some lentils? Although still conflicted about the grains/gluten, it seems that a pseudograin like buckwheat is the safest, donno Anyway, thank you for telling the truth, even in the face of cult members (although it could be the fact that life is stressful so this groupthink gives people comfort, can't blame them), and thanks for the idea of fasting to reset the microbiome for vegans thinking about quitting, if I get my skin issues again, I will try that. But I would say adding zinc supplement helped, also a zinc cream - very cheap, very visible, and doubles as "mechanical sunscreen" Love your honesty ❤️ wishing you all the best on your journey
You'll blame just about anything but carnivore, look I got a father that got the jab being in his 60's and he's a type 2 diabetic who eats whatever he wants and just slaps metformin on top of it like a bandaid and nothing has happened to him since, secondly a friend of Kelly Hogan's had a heart attack and she's probably younger than fifty plusbeauty, there's also Jordan Peterson's wife who got kidney cancer after a year of carnivore, carnivore doesn't make people invincible.
After trying everything else, Im on a L Reuteri yogurt diet. Ive had horrible insomnia for over 10 years and that is resolving. Ive also had severe constipation for probably the same amount of time. I go every day now. Acne sucks a bit from the dairy, or maybe its the occasional nuts and cheese. Dont know dont care. Sleeping is amazing and no way Im giving that up. Depression type stuff resolving. Energy is improving. Chronic bloat is gone. I can eat raw broccoli without issue (the yogurt mixed with mashed avo and lemon makes a great dip). Reuteri is amazing stuff y'all.
Did you know that the heart is not on the left side of the chest anymore where you pointed at 3:24 ? Also the kidneys are higher now, making the old boxing rule obsolete. #mandelaeffect
A lot of the carnivores are now into the “removing toxic bile” and liver stuff. It’s usually like a pipeline from raw meat to cooked carnivore to ray peat style eating and then to taking tudca 😹
Debating is ignorant and ego based. Every one has their unique path and their lessons to learn. The problem is when the mind creates beliefs, wants to be right and projects it onto others.
I had a lot of the same issues. BUT what you said about healing relates to the kidneys and liver needing to be healed to work with fats and protein. Heal them then return to Carnie. There were NO veggie and fruits in the past. It can’t be the solution.
Why don’t you take a professional food allergy test and eliminate those foods and take it from there. I think we would all be curious to see your test results..
If you objectively review all of your content you've ever made on your journey sir, the conclusion is you're simply allergic to food. Please stop eating and record your progress.
Whenever a video discusses Vegan vs Carnivore the comments always says the Vegan diet failed me but when people quit Carnivore of complain about symptoms, Carnivores always respond saying, you doing it wrong! How many videos on mistakes to avoid going Carnivore. You can do Vegan wrong aswell! Not eating enough calories, eating too much fat or processed foods. So the double standard is so obvious. Whenever someone quits Carnivore the videos pop up from how this person ate the wrong way and that’s why the failed but these same people will never admit people that feels unwell try vegan to see if will help, being inexperienced they also make wrong food choices and maybe had a history of calorie restriction and eat to little calories because whole food plant foods are low in calories so easy at first to make mistakes eating vegan foods
if you lose weight and eat less food your triglycerides go down. go figure. macro composition doesn't matter much at all compared to just eating less food and losing weight.
Caloric deficit Very low fructose If you are insulin resistant, initially lowering starchy carbohydrates (if insulin Is not working they'll convert to tryg instead of being oxidized/stored as glycogen)
70% of the average american's caloric intake comes from plants! The average american eats a plant based diet. An animal based diet gets a majority of calories from animal foods.

Cant wait till someone comes up with a diet where you can eat like a carnivore and a vegan.
Oh, wait, there already is!
Its almost like there is a word for that kind of diet
@@jaegrant6441 Depends how pre-industrial you want to go. Pre-agrarian societies, hunter-gatherers, most certainly didn't feast on grains. They primarily thrived on meat, fish, organs and bone marrow.
@jaegrant6441 Most of the human species lifespan there was no agriculture and the majority food was hunted meat, meat can be found year round, fruit and veg can not. Even after agriculture meat was still the main staple of the diet, it just became meat plus grains. Its only very modern times that the carb heavy grain diet emerged and look what it's done to people.
I learned absolutely nothing.
These restrictive diets are wack
Absolutely
Keep us posted, it will be interesting to see how well you do as time goes on.
In Finland there has been a drive for people to eat less meat and more vegetables. An interesting stat came up... the veggie eaters paid more visits to the doctors than the meat eaters.
It could be because people who would follow that advice are probably more healtg concious and so would be more likely to visit a doctor for small problems
can't visit the doctor if you're dead
Correlation is not causation
The Finnish health study shows quite the opposite.
Finland saw an extremely significant reduction in cardiovascular related mortality when the Nazis came in and took their cattle...
I take 2 tsps a day, one in morning and one before bed.
are you not drinking distilled water anymore ? how about adding sodium bicarbonate to the distilled water ?
I've done it all, omad, 2mad, 3mad lol.
You could be right about that, especially with too much fat and protein in one sitting.

If only meat _and_ veggies were an option.
Keto sucks

What did you use to 3d pop here 😮
Time to do Gillian Berrys interview
Glad you fixed the sulphur fart issues no matter what the diet, but still curious about...
the proof with simon hill and nutrition made simple have done wonders to combat disinfo
Youre contributing to science way more than actual scientists in white lab coat.
Anecdotes is true knowledge. Gnosis
If it's possible that low calcium was a problem for you, did you try to incorporate some dairy into your diet? Maybe some 600 ml of kefir with 2 tablespoons of honey could have helped and some more fruits like citrus for vitamin C.
You might be new here, diary destroys his gut. Mine too, actually.

Dr. Clit is onto something, maybe gut issues and fermentable fiber are a major cause of disease. You think an 8 day dry fast could help me? I'm already underweight.
Why is Gordon Freeman talking about food???

Umm no. I explained why I left carnivore in my 8 day dry fast video ruclips.net/video/JT4_ErgeHzc/видео.html
You're probably talking about the time I left a keto diet back to vegan and did a 90 day juice fast.
Although still conflicted about the grains/gluten, it seems that a pseudograin like buckwheat is the safest, donno
Anyway, thank you for telling the truth, even in the face of cult members (although it could be the fact that life is stressful so this groupthink gives people comfort, can't blame them),
and thanks for the idea of fasting to reset the microbiome for vegans thinking about quitting, if I get my skin issues again, I will try that. But I would say adding zinc supplement helped,
also a zinc cream - very cheap, very visible, and doubles as "mechanical sunscreen"

Any advice for lowering tryglicerides?
Eat super low fat like me, or go very low carb. I wouldn't focus on these numbers, if you want heart health in general I'd choose the low fat side.

if you lose weight and eat less food your triglycerides go down. go figure. macro composition doesn't matter much at all compared to just eating less food and losing weight.

If you are insulin resistant, initially lowering starchy carbohydrates (if insulin Is not working they'll convert to tryg instead of being oxidized/stored as glycogen)
