Just to clarify: We know Mexican breakfast is an American breakfast too...I just couldn't think of a good title alternative. I have a feeling Usonian doesn't get much in the way of search results! haha
Kinetic Kennons just call it “American” ..ignore all the people who complain and whine. I’m Mexican and I always call something from the USA, American. Lo mismo la gran mayoría de los mexicanos. Mexicanos say “ tramitar la visa americana” , “ropa americana”, mercancía americana” etc etc, we have to stop being “politically correct” just because someone might be “offended”
I like both, sometimes I crave for all American Grand Slam breakfast at good Old America Restaurant. Now that you live in Condesa, you should go eat to Chillakiller's and Kowloon Delight for great Chinese food and warm bisquets. The good thing about travel is that you can mix a real international breakfast. Sometimes pancakes with a side of chilaquiles and a black coffee makes me happy for the day.
Melissa Adami, I don't mind myself gringos calling themselves American or anything's from their country American. But as a Mexican, I avoid calling anything US "American", because I am (continentally) an American too. Even though I am a US citizen as well. Mexicans were the first ones calling ourselves American, long before the Mayflower.
KINETICS With all my respect to you wife she's so pretty and I like about her she don't use make up congratulation buddy saludos de un mexicano en usa 🇺🇸
I been watching your shows the last few weeks. Iam American Mexican from San Francisco and love to see open minded people and watching you guys embracing the Mexican culture. I wish all people were like this. Keep filming, u guys are doing a great job
Hillary is very easy on the eye, and very polite and respectful, can watch this for hours, and still making me happy, you guys make a lot of people happy!!!!!!
A mix of both Mexican and USA breakfast it’s awesome! I’ve done it before. Scrambled eggs with refried beans, bacon, tortillas, biscuits and gravy haha.
Aweeeee I’m jealous! Love Queso sooooo mucho el-grande-o and I miss Chili-killiesss to there’s none in Tamper Florida Omg!!! Cielitos ooooo me and my son were just talking about Vanilla coffee there with the animal cookie! Awe we miss it!!!
Chilaquiles is my absolute favorite. It has to be en salsa verde con pollo. Next time you guys are in Queretaro there is a nice cafe in Centro Historical that makes some pretty amazing Chilaquiles and the salsa is severed so you can pour it over yourself.
This is how I make cafe de olla, buy the coffee grains, break them up, and boil the coffee grains along with some cinnamon for some 10-15 minutes, pour into your cup with a strainer, and add sugar and maybe some milk, y listo.
Chilaquiles is fried corn tortilla chips (totopos). The green sauce is usually tomatillo with is a smaller green variety of the tomato and has some Chile Serrano blended in along with onion and some garlic. Then egg for breakfast or chicken for lunch or dinner. And some queso fresco on top and sour cream.
Hi my peepz omg that place in Vallarta Cafe de Hoya was the bomb I must of gone there like 4 days in a row this past week. Funny that you guys mentioned it and it was so inexpensive 👍🏻
For the café de olla you're missing the piloncillo is also melted when the coffee is boiling along with the cinnamon. If it is going more deep into the root of its brewing it also has some kind of liquor within the mix.
The coffee with canela is very simple to do. Just buy canela entera and brew it in water till it turns nice and red. You can drink it as a tea with a little sugar or like la guera did add some coffee to it to make a delicious pick me up!!! my mom does it all the time!!!! Saludos from California!!
Hmmm? 🤔It depends what you're in the mood for. Chilaquiles are one of my favorites, but Güera's waffle sandwich looked 👀 pretty good. Oh, and the café de olla is the best! If you're going to make some at home, don't use ground cinnamon. Put a cinnamon stick in water, boil it, and use instant coffee. By the way one of my favorite American foods is Eggs Benedict. Keep up the fun videos!
A good way to describe Chilaquiles. Is like uhhh??? More like. Nachos en Nogada. Just like Chile's rellenos en Nogada...I'm with Greg. I think Los dos. Son DELICIOUS & DELICIOSOS. call it whatever...& yeah Cafe de holla is one of the most delicious cafe you can have in Mexico... You guys great video thank you for sharing 👍
Greg, if your mom is in town on Saturday, take her for shoping and maybe coffee at the Bazar del Sabado! Don't just go to San Angel but get into the Bazar, she will really love it. Her visit is a good excuse to take the Turibus at Plaza Cibeles -- near the Angel, you have been there -- and get off it at San Angel, have breakfast at El Cardenal there and later continue to Coyoacán. There, that would be a plan. (A PhD in what?)
Hi guys!! Café de olla is coffee boiled in a clay pot with cinnamon and unground raw sugar called piloncillo. Love your videos!! Saludos desde la Ciudad de México!!!
I like both breakfasts. To prepare café de olla (lit. pot coffee), it is essential to use a traditional earthen clay pot, as this gives a special flavor to the coffee. Café de olla is made with ground coffee, cinnamon, and "piloncillo" (unrefined brown sugar).
I am born and raised in Mexico City. But, I live in Austin, TX. now First things first, thank y'all for these videos and for taking the leap forward on becoming citizens of the world. I recommend you trying huevos veracruzanos, the ones from Bisquets Bisquets Obregon used too be great and you may close that breakfast with a cafe lechero and a piece of pan dulce... I miss real, authentic mexican food so much!
Chilaquiles originated as a way to use leftover, stale corn tortillas. Cut into strips or whatever and then heated a bit to restore their flavor, then covered with sauce of some kind. It definitely pre-dates nachos. Served with beans it's very nutritious, with complete proteins. It was and is frugal poor people's food - when food is scarce you don't waste it. Like so many wonderful dishes around the world based on our ancestors frugality (my grandmother knew how to make Mock Vinegar Pie). And it's everyone's food now, because it's so tasty.
The best breakfast is breakfast in México, because you can have both! American and Mexican, but in the states its almost impossible to find a good mexican breakfast ;)
you guys sat at the same direction in both restaurants .huera with her ight side to the wall and goyo at the end of the wall across from huera lol that is funny.
Hola gueros, to begin Chips are Totopos in Spanish. Personally i prefer the guisado style Mexican breakfast but, being raised on a cattle ranch I love a Chicken fried steak and eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy Texas Style though i live in California.
For mexican breakfast my favorite was bread with natas and sugar , and a cup of milk cinnamon coffe. But if I was in a rush I love that everywhere was the accessibility of getting fresh fruit and a jericalla . As for American breakfast sunnyside eggs , bacon and toast , with some black coffe or tea .
Hi guys, you can make cafe de olla at home, you only need a "olla de barro" and "raja de canela". You can find both things at any market! so with 30-40 pesitos cafe de olla for ever!
Greg ask: "Which do you prefer, Mexican Breakfast or U.S.A Breakfast" and Hillary answered: "uhhhh! 😶😨😱"... Hahahah Hillary so cute!... See you later guys 😎
lol loved how they gave you animal cookies with the coffee since cafe de hoya as you said is made in a big pot with cinnamon and is the poor people's drink because you can make a lot with less coffee and the animal cookies were or are the cheapest and usually you would put them in your coffee kinda like cereal . great videos and stay awesome
Hi guys! If you are interested in knowing more about Mexico City's history since the Aztecs founding and learning about the challenges the city is faced with today I recommend going to FuturaCDMX in Centro Histórico goo.gl/maps/yKYNCDipoh52 . It has an impressive scale model of the entire city. They also have all kinds of maps from centuries ago and they compare the city with other great metropolis around the world. From the reviews I've seen, everyone comes out very satisfied and learns a ton. The visit takes about 90 to 120mins. You can also visit Calle Regina which is a very quaint pedestrian street one block away from FuturaCDMX. Hope you can go! Ok I'll shut up now :P
Have you guys been to Ojo de Agua? My wife and I went there last time we were in CDMX and she just wants to go back when she’s here in a couple weeks. There’s one right there in Condesa, like a block south of Parque México near a small roundabout with some fountains (not Cibeles, way smaller).
You guys need to go and eat churros at churrera El Moro en el centro de la ciudad de mexico, close to la torre latinoamericana. I'm 150% sure that you guy's are going to love it!!!!
Saludos desde Justin,Texas. My wife is from México and she has always preferred the good old American country breakfast. I Love "chilaquiles" and the French petite déjeuner with croissants.
The places you went to eat at today were so charming!! I could see myself hanging out there. I don't know if I've ever seen a waffle that big. It looked delicious! What is your Mom's PHD in? Hope you enjoy visiting with your Mom.
I straddle the fence on this one ( pun intended) lol. Some days I like Mexican spicy breakfast, others I like oatmeal or cream of wheat with a bagel and cream cheese.
You guys put water to boil with cinnamon sticks (tea) then add instant coffee, sugar and cream or however you want and that'll be the closest thing to Cafe de olla I promise it'll be delicious. Tip just in case is too strong in flavor because you added too much cinnamon just add hot plain water until you achieve the desire flavor. Saludos
Les recomiendo de desayuno una torta de huevo con chile y cafe de hoya ;and there are chicken macgridles at Mcdonal's,so there's chicken for breakfast in the states
The thing with us we make breakfast with almost everything leftovers from last nite dinner we call it recalentado anything goes atole cafecito liquadoa😁😜 we basically can eat anything as you can see love you gueros
BTW cafe de olla Is just brew in a pot, most coffee you find in any place that sells coffee it will be cafe de olla, Is the most common kind in Mexico, not just cdmx but Mexico in general.
great question! We really wanted to join a crossfit here in CDMX but the one in our neighborhood is $2,200 pesos PER PERSON PER MONTH. So we definitely cannot afford that. Now we just go to a park and work out alone :)
Just to clarify: We know Mexican breakfast is an American breakfast too...I just couldn't think of a good title alternative. I have a feeling Usonian doesn't get much in the way of search results! haha

thanks for sharing your recipe!
As a mexican-american im always in between, i guess it just depends on the weather for me...they still ask you guys if you want "cafe americano"? Lol
Someone said “we Mexican Americans are somewhere between Nopales and Hamburgers!” Lol. Neither here nor there! Hahahaha
I'm the same way. Mexican-American and I go back and forth.
Hi gueros! I love your channel. Your vídeos are awesome and funny. Keep it Up!

Honestly you can never go wrong with food places in Mexico! Every place I’ve been to there have been amazing! I like my chilaquiles crispy crunchy!
Do you need a stepping stool Hill. Daaamn! Greg is freaking tall? Lol
Mexican breakfast all the way. I can barely eat US breakfast.
Hi my peepz omg that place in Vallarta Cafe de Hoya was the bomb I must of gone there like 4 days in a row this past week. Funny that you guys mentioned it and it was so inexpensive 👍🏻
I prefer Mexican breakfast all the way. I could eat Chilaquiles or huevos rancheros every day
We are so lucky to have the best of the 2 Usa & Mex. Love my pancakes with eggs and bacon and also love my chilaquiles and refried beans or menudo 😉😉😉
haha, exactly how we feel!
For the café de olla you're missing the piloncillo is also melted when the coffee is boiling along with the cinnamon. If it is going more deep into the root of its brewing it also has some kind of liquor within the mix.
And Greg is a total GENTLEMAN, always nice to see a real man taking care of the wife!!!!!!
Despues de un delicioso desayuno, una buena caminata por el parque para bajar la panza!.. 😁😁👍
Oye Texana, quieres ser Californiana?? :-*
The coffee with canela is very simple to do. Just buy canela entera and brew it in water till it turns nice and red. You can drink it as a tea with a little sugar or like la guera did add some coffee to it to make a delicious pick me up!!! my mom does it all the time!!!! Saludos from California!!
A lot of more variety for breakfast in Mexico! Cook every day fresh. Good video guys.
Hmmm? 🤔It depends what you're in the mood for. Chilaquiles are one of my favorites, but Güera's waffle sandwich looked 👀 pretty good. Oh, and the café de olla is the best! We completely agree-depends on what we are in the mood for!
Which do you prefer?
Kinetic Kennons, Mexican breakfast for me, especially Buffet
Kinetic Kennons both!!
Mexicanooooooooooooooo
Both
Mexican... Nothing beats huevos rancheros, chilaquiles or molletes...
Cute I giggled when u guys personally call each other gingos
Also heyGrey. I noticed...either you switch camera...or using a different lens..I like the flow movements on this video.. look great!! Great shots !!
I think both are very good my friends....

We went to Coyoacan and she loved it!
I´m Mexican and you guys seem to be super nice people! very open, wish you all the luck
Hi guys!! Café de olla is coffee boiled in a clay pot with cinnamon and unground raw sugar called piloncillo. Love your videos!! Saludos desde la Ciudad de México!!!
thanks :)
I like both breakfasts. To prepare café de olla (lit. pot coffee), it is essential to use a traditional earthen clay pot, as this gives a special flavor to the coffee. Café de olla is made with ground coffee, cinnamon, and "piloncillo" (unrefined brown sugar).

I miss real, authentic mexican food so much!
Hola Aaron! Thank you for your nice comment! We actually love Bisquets Obregon and LOVE their cafe con leche too! We will have to eat some for you :)
Please do! y buen provecho! (have you notice how that concept/phrase do not exist in the USA?, any theory on the why?) :)
Also, café de olla most likely translates to coffee from the clay pot. It has cinnamon mixed in and often some piloncillo (sugar cane caramel).
The best breakfast is breakfast in México, because you can have both! American and Mexican, but in the states its almost impossible to find a good mexican breakfast ;)
Have you guys tried breakfasts at Vips or Toks? Their chilaquiles are awesome, especially at Vips :)!
Great!! portion is bigger. That's what I'm talkin about it..😁
There's a Brando (Nescafé) with yellow cap... They sell café de olla soluble! Try it! Not the same, but really close.
you guys sat at the same direction in both restaurants .huera with her ight side to the wall and goyo at the end of the wall across from huera lol that is funny.
haha you are right!
Hola gueros, to begin Chips are Totopos in Spanish. Personally i prefer the guisado style Mexican breakfast but, being raised on a cattle ranch I love a Chicken fried steak and eggs, home fries, biscuits and gravy Texas Style though i live in California.
Café de olla is whole coffee beans and a few cinnamon sticks boiled in a clay pot. Veracrúz is famous for it.
"Que seria de mi"
"What would be of me"
😊😊😊
Try chilaquiles with habanero sauce or chile morita sauce at Toks...( Ask them to prepare them with crispy tortilla chips...delicious!
Such a cool streetscape. I am distracted by the cool architecture of the lobbies in the sidewalk. Is that Condesa? Roma?
For mexican breakfast my favorite was bread with natas and sugar , and a cup of milk cinnamon coffe. But if I was in a rush I love that everywhere was the accessibility of getting fresh fruit and a jericalla . As for American breakfast sunnyside eggs , bacon and toast , with some black coffe or tea .
Hi guys, you can make cafe de olla at home, you only need a "olla de barro" and "raja de canela". You can find both things at any market! so with 30-40 pesitos cafe de olla for ever!
thanks!
Why so serious 😂😂
Greg ask: "Which do you prefer, Mexican Breakfast or U.S.A Breakfast" and Hillary answered: "uhhhh! 😶😨😱"... Hahahah Hillary so cute!... See you later guys 😎
lol loved how they gave you animal cookies with the coffee since cafe de hoya as you said is made in a big pot with cinnamon and is the poor people's drink because you can make a lot with less coffee and the animal cookies were or are the cheapest and usually you would put them in your coffee kinda like cereal . great videos and stay awesome
Thanks amigo for all the info!
Los chilaquiles mis favoritos buen video saludos guera y goyo

Que- sería is a play on words. It can be a place that sells quesadillas or it can literally be translated into que “what” seria “ would it be “
hola from puerto vallarta amigo..love your channel.
Have you guys been to Ojo de Agua? My wife and I went there last time we were in CDMX and she just wants to go back when she’s here in a couple weeks. There’s one right there in Condesa, like a block south of Parque México near a small roundabout with some fountains (not Cibeles, way smaller).

La guera tiene bonito sentido del humor.felicidades greeg bonita esposa saludos desde los angeles.
You are both Amazing and the breakfast are both delicious
Que-seria is a word game. It could be ¿qué sería? which means "what would it be?" or quesería wich is a cheese store.
Tortilla chips are "totopos" en Mexico city, in other parts of the country they called todtaditas, or tortillas doradas
I'm of Mexican and I Love both Mexican and American foods !
Viva la difference !
As long as it's cooked from scratch it should be a Winner !
The places you went to eat at today were so charming!! I could see myself hanging out there. I don't know if I've ever seen a waffle that big. It looked delicious! What is your Mom's PHD in? Hope you enjoy visiting with your Mom.
haha-the waffle was huge! Her PHD is in education I think :)
I straddle the fence on this one ( pun intended) lol. Some days I like Mexican spicy breakfast, others I like oatmeal or cream of wheat with a bagel and cream cheese.
haha, we completely agree :)
As a Mexican, for breakfast I eat Pan Dulce with coffee or chocolate. Or pancakes , cereal, eggs, etc.

Saludos

Vin following you since your Vallarta days
My question is where do you go to work out now?
In Vallarta I remember you went to CrossFit
great question! We really wanted to join a crossfit here in CDMX but the one in our neighborhood is $2,200 pesos PER PERSON PER MONTH. So we definitely cannot afford that. Now we just go to a park and work out alone :)
