Soon ill be able to put your info to work for me.... My son isnt into this "goat stuff". So i have to REALLY know more to show i can raise them correctly. Theyll never run oit of food in the summer as at farm they have kudzu😅😅😅😅
Meat goats give milk and milk goats can be used for meat. They are classified based on what they are bred to be productive for. You do not need to milk any goat if you aren’t interested in getting milk from them.
We decided to stick to more common breeds here in the US since this is a beginners guide, but the Kalahari Red has many characteristics that make it a great meat goat. I'm thinking a spotlight on this breed is in order.
Spanish are some of the hardiest and best tasting, but are not really small goats. Kinder goats and the Pygora are smaller breeds that are great for beginners.
Everyone will have a different opinion on this. I'd recommend the Nigerian Dwarf if you want pets and to sell the kids. Others might recommend the American Pygmy or the Boer goat.
I like this project
We’re glad you like it! Thanks for watching!

Do meat goats give milk, and do they need to be milked?
I want a friendly, cute meat goat that I won't need to milk every day.

@@HobbyFarmGuys can you just milk them when you want milk or they won't have milk if they weren't milked consistently or if they have a nursing kid?
They will need to kid periodically in order to milk them. If you stop milking they will dry up and need to kid again before you can milk again.
How about the Kalahari Red?

What’s a good goat for Florida? Hot and humid
Spanish goats do really well in Florida. Nigerian Dwarf, Pygmy and Nubians are popular there too.
@@HobbyFarmGuys which would be the best meat goat for a small homestead.
I’m not wanting anything really large.
