Today on the Daily News You Can Use, Ray and Zach discuss even more data on how the car market is resetting in 2024. Tune in to learn more! - Развлечения
Last thing I want to do is go car shopping, I don’t even want to legitimize looking at $70k trucks.
Why even walk the lot and give them a shot to poach you? I’d rather get a colonoscopy and a root canal than go to a dealership these days.
At least the doctor puts you under for the colonoscopy.
😂😂
😅😅
It’s the manufacturers that are the problem. They are playing a game in conjunction with the feds to drastically reduce car sales. Combine that with the plan to force you own digital currency, they will decide what you drive or if you drive. Corporations will do this. The large banks in Australia are already ending checks or cash transactions. Digital only. You can’t deposit cash. You can’t withdraw cash. How long before you make a stand here?
I looked at a $15k used vehicle gave my email thankfully not my phone number and now I get emails saying how about this one or this one... Umm $55k for a used Camaro is not what i was looking at..SMH
As a former car salesman, I'll never, ever set foot in a dealership to be abused in their deceptive, demeaning "haggling" games. Life has enough hassles without asking to be humiliated by morons.
I keep my business between 2 dealerships and am treated very well each time I go in because they know when I show up, I am there to buy.
You must be a washed up car sales person like pops
@@KevinWeaver-fv4vr he's actually right ,I worked at a lexus dealership in NY ,it was crazyyyyyy ,they were robbing people left n right I was like 😮 is that legal, from car sales to car service, people were quitting like crazy ,mostly car salesmen, the dirtiest ones lasted the longest 😂
Vehicle prices aren't up because of Dealerships. The real problems is what people refuse to talk about & thats Government Regulations & Government Spending driving Inflation up.
@@KevinWeaver-fv4vryou must be a car salesman or a car salesman Fan Boy 🤣 most are scum bags let me go ask my boss
Most folks I know are not interested in buying a new car with pricing as it is.
Not in my town buying left and right
That proves what? "most folks I know"? Is that some kind of statistical data?
@danielrn133 I think it proves plenty....people getting the views of their peers.....most the people I know and I know alot of people from being in business....feel the same way! I think he is making a legit argument
The people who can only afford the under $20,000 cars are being squeezed so hard that they can't even afford those now. It's not about preferences. It's about ability to pay in this economy.
that's a totally different market than it used to be. Before cash for clunkers you could get an old useable car that only needed a few repairs for $500. Now anything worth buying will be hard to find below $10k.
@@Xander1Sheridan Who knew that cash for clunkers was just a way to keep cars unaffordable for regular Americans? Great job Obama. The FHA is now doing the same exact thing for housing. 11% of all FHA mortgages are already delinquent, those are near financial crisis levels, but rather than toss those back onto the market, they just sell the loans to wall street directly (and let the American taxpayer eat the huge loss!)
At 7+% interest and an average new price of $45K, of course nobody is buying.
My favorite game is seeing how long my 2009 honda civic will last.. I feel like dealerships are only surviving from fleet deals and the business owners I know that are buying for write offs.
Yeah I am wondering if this is why they put a turbo in every vehicle now... Besides fuel efficiency reasons.
Honda civic will last forever if its not overheated and its maintained. A friend is still drivng our old 98 civic.
@@mike3133f yup. I got it from a girl who had to move across country with a weeks notice for her corporate job. CarMax was offering her $2200 she agreed to $2300 to me but somehow I paid $2400 and had to take her on a date after her fiancé left her. I was just in it for the car haha but 103k miles and leather seats? I was happy to just have a car with working heat and AC coming from a 90s Volvo. I don’t ever wanna get rid of this honda after taxes plates n stickers and a whole bunch of upgrades; snow tires, LED lights, LED light bar for the country roads I have to drive on, Dash cam (helped when a dude side swiped me and tried to deny it), LED screen with CarPlay. There’s so much I added and I’m only $3500 into it. Love it. No need for a new car for a while!
@@mike3133fdepends on where you live. In the Northeast a 1998 car won’t survive due to corrosion (salting roads for the winter)
@@off-roadingexplained8417 wait what? It's all about maintenance. You do proper maintenance and a Japanese car will last forever.
The one pro to these high car prices is, it’s the perfect excuse to spend some money on my old 2004 Silverado. I recently repaired some problem areas at a local body shop, upgraded the brakes, and reupholstered seats. Truck looks great for its age and I’ve probably spent a few months of a new truck payment.
It's so hard to buy a car now. The cost of cars are so high and then you have to pay the sales tax on that cost and then you have to get insurance which has sky rocketed. It will just flat kill ya financially.
And personal property taxes for some states
hm its not new that you will pay sales tax on a vehicle, been that a way a very long time
20-30% off MSRP after the MSRP was inflated 50% still isn't a good deal.
I'll wait till they are begging for us to come in to buy their overpriced crap
They will crush unsold inventory before slashing prices significantly.
They won't lol
I had a dream this happened… but then I woke up
I continue to make offers on vehicles throughout the country to dealerships of 1 to 3 percent off listed price, always a no. I continue to walk
Just pay Ray to get you that 30% below price. It will only cost you 25% of the savings.
I agree. Every dealer I approach about a lower than list price is a resounding NO. They are not budging on their price but are certainly lowering your trade value.
I offer CRDJ dealers 45K OTD for a "100K" truck every day just to annoy them. Can't wait til they all go broke
@Toobooko they'll literally write laws to make it harder to not buy new cars. Idk what you think your purchase power is. Millions of corrupt businesses push on because of lobbying. You're just being unrealistic.
My Local Acura dealer was $7500 over sticker when I needed a car in 2022. Walked away and didn't look back. Got an Infiniti and I am very happy. Acura lost me.
GMC lost me. Price for GMC Sierra SLT for 66k … OTD was 69k. No way in hell. Bought a midsize truck Honda Ridgeline Sport $41,680 OTD.
I’m in Arizona and I just found a DIAMOND!!!
2002 Lexus RX300 with ONLY 69k miles.. $8000
It sat in a garage its whole life and was ONLY used in the winters when the guy came down from Canada to enjoy the sun.
I’ll drive it for a year or so and then give it to my daughter as her first car when she’s old enough.. I can’t believe how clean this thing is. Back seat has never even been sat in.. Beige leather, it’s so clean..
Congrats! How did you find it? Catching these deals before people hand them to Carvana or CarMax is really hard to do these days.
8k for a 2002 is crazy
Just try and find a cash car that’s this clean!!! I was looking at 180k mile Scion XB’s or a beat up Corolla for the same price.
WAY MORE vehicle this route. I’ve had 4 people offer me $9k - $10k for it, since I’ve bought it. Used cars are still priced high. We just got $38800 for our totaled 2017 4Runner. We paid $38500 (invoice) for it new in 2017.
$8k sounds high initially, but once you see this compared to what else you could get for the same money, you would choose this one also…
21 year old car for $8K LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats! That's almost as good of a story as a car owned by a retired grandma and driven once a week to the grocery store with all service done by the dealer and kept in a garage in SoCal. Most of these stories are just stories, but even fairy tales have a bit of truth in them. On the other hand Toyota rubber is pretty good and the car still might give more miles. I have '98 LS400 with 160k and it runs great when I use it. I use it as my backup and start it up every couple weeks to drive it just to keep the fluids circulated. Keep it on the charger too - someone who buys this car will have a gem.
Interest rates are problematic
I just put a new water pump in my Canadian made 1998 Dodge Ram with an unbroken dash
Unbroken dash? This story is suspect…😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve been waiting for all those overpriced vehicles to start dropping in price. I guarantee they are sitting on the lots but the problem is they’re not really discounting them that much yet unless you wanna Dodge Ram pickup
Not only do people have half the money to use for a vehicle right now... There are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people that are now working remote that are driving half as much... So the demand has to be less than half right now... I think the price for less expensive used cars could increase... So maybe your vehicles that are under $10,000 or under $15,000 start to go up by a few thousand dollars... 25,000 is going to reduce towards 25,000 if not $17,000...
you have to walk in and negotiate. They are absolutely discounting them. Even Toyota is discounting cars they don't even have on the lots yet. You just have to be willing to fight for it.
Negotiating at a car dealer is way, way, down the list of things I want to do. It's below "hit my big toe with a hammer". I hate that process so much, I'd rather they put a little higher price on the car and just let me pay and go on my way without the games. Prices are so high, that claiming they are going down is almost meaningless. Yay! Prices went from "Out of the question", to " Who can afford that?", to "I still can't afford that."
In other words, the vehicles on sale is all the crap no one wants to purchase. No in my neighborhood is correct .
With the manufacturer's increase in car prices, high interest rates and dealer add-ons, it took us over a year to finally find a Toyota Corolla Hybrid for under $24,500
Please tell me the dealership and which state. I’ll be on my way.
Would that be an Le or an SE? ?
That person may have got 3,000 off the RAV4 but it didn't say if they paid $300 or $4,000 for add-ons
3k off an MSRP that was 8k higher than 3 years ago and 2,500 in add ons. Oh yeah she won...😂🙄
If it was a Prime the manufacture rebate is $7,250. These rot on lots due to the bloated price. The dealer i'm looking at has 40. Mostly XSE's. XSE's i'm seeing $1000 off from the dealer.
I was able to find Rav4 hybrid limited at MRSP + TTL with out any addons.
We just purchased a new Mazda CX-50 for $28.000 . They tried to add on but told them to take them off. Went in at end of April SUV was on lot for 80 days with your help I was ready to deal. They made money and I got a good deal.
Here in Dallas, they are still marking the seltos up several thousand dollars. They refuse to sell under MSRP.
I'm waiting to buy a new car at the fire sale prices that are coming as these companies pay the price for scamming, gouging and taking their customers for granted. I'll feast on their rotting corpse in a car at half the MSRP of last year! None of these companies, except maybe for Tesla which has been dropping prices all along, deserve to remain in business. What we need is new, innovative car manufacturers that make cars people WANT and can AFFORD!
I’m waiting for gas to go back to 25 cents a gallon and the return of the 10 cent candy bar.
Talk about HOnda/Toyota days supply...Low. Talk about Toyota/Honda discounts?
Little to none..Real world..
you have to ask to get them. People are absolutely getting them like the lady in this video with $3k off.
They know, we know. Old news. Those brands are highly valued by plenty of folks that can afford them - they are not seen as overpriced for their value as are other brands. They are talking about trends and news you can use. It’s their job.
I agree, not seeing much inventory at our Honda/Toyota dealers here where I live. They also are not having any discounts either.
You can find Honda's 3k under MSRP , Toyota offer MSRP if you go to dealership and negotitate. Dont take first sheet they give ask them to take off all addons. Theyare doing i it alteast in my market TX.
Not were I live either. Prices still crazy and you can’t find some models.
Here in southeast wi my local chevy dealer has 3 used 2021 to 2022 chevy cargo vans. $35k to $39k with 39,000 to 77,000mi. Its a joke. They should cost no more then $30k New!
Yeah, I’ve always found the dealers close to MKE to be most expensive in WI. People will come from CHI, will pay more and there are many franchise dealers who don’t have to depend on one market. Drive northwest an hour or more…
Love to see this father and son team. Love and respect between them.
So let me get this right. Incentives are heading towards 10% on vehicles that have increased on average 30% or more in the last two years? I don’t believe I need a calculator to realize that car prices are still too high. When and if I ever ever see 20-25% discounts I’m just going to keep my 2015.
It’s not a discount if the item is marked up 50/60% and then they put 20% off. Still a scam
Nope, but it would be a discount if they took off 60/70% respectively!
A VW dealership i haven't heard from in years just emailed me they'd give me 0% APR and 10% off any new vehicle.
*with 3k worth of add-ons.
@@dvader3263 probably so.
It's against FTC law to discriminate against a cash buyer. You guys really didn't address this issue.
No discounts like that where I live either!
Regurgitating strategy taken from external sources whose aim is to destroy uncontrolled personal transport while ignoring customers was never a bright idea 😂
Next billion dollar idea. What to do with all of the empty car dealerships throughout the land. Don’t worry, it will be great.
Martial arts complexes with go cart tracks.
don't worry. they will be bailed out. the big boys have paid the fees/bribes/contributions needed to be protected.
Homeless Shelters
Combination homeless shelter/go cart track.
It's almost always cheaper to fix what you've got.
In reply to "I don't see lower prices where I live," don't you think that dealers would be better off advertising price cuts instead of waiting for customers to walk onto their lots to give them their "best price"? Seems like they would attract more showroom traffic and sell more cars if people knew prices were coming down. It seems that dealers just can't get out of their own way in perpetuating their adversarial relationship with buyers.
Inconceivable! I knew you would say that at 14:35 and your son always rolls his eyes at the PB reference lol.
I hate to say it but if the meeting income 75,000 a year they need to be building cars that are in the price range of those customers. 30 - 40,000 is not in their price range. They may be buying them but they shouldn't be.
Looking to lease a Mazda CX 30 turbo in the Los Angeles area. Dealers refuse to give me MF and sometimes residual data. When you ask for it they refuse to talk to you.
Just had to say that these two are fantastic. I used their tools to purchase a new subaru forester.
5467.00 below msrp. And helped me stay sharp in the finance office. 2.9 percent financing. Even though I am no longer looking for a vehicle I still watch. Thanks guys!
The manufacturers upped the prices on their trucks 20 to 25k in last 3 years. Paying 3k under msrp is hardly a deal. Toyota trucks in particular need to drop their Msrp back to 2020 prices .
Nothing on their trucks or any other truck validates these price hikes . Pure Greed. I hope the all go belly up
2015 prices at the least
@criticalinfrastructurepart1959 52k for a fully loaded trd pro tundra with a v8 is reasonable to ask. Not 75k
Zaach you're in my town!!! Welcome!
Been looking for a car for two yrs now and have practically enough to pay all cash depending on what I decide on. I really thought at this time 1.5 yrs ago the prices would have really fallen but they haven’t and not really sure what to get now…
I went to Toyota universe New Jersey, after test drove the car I wanted, I told the seller I had my own finance and wanted to know out of the door price, he dropped the pen on his desk and said, we don’t give out the door price but let me talk to my manager, came back 5 min later and said, “sorry, the car was sold” and did not offer more options.
All you can do is never give that company your business and tell others…..
WOW!! Dude could have gotten and kept a customer instead of giving your the middle finger. Not telling you the OTD price is ridiculous.
Never tell them you have your own financing or how much you’re putting down until you have the price.
Got a Civic EXL 12% off. They advertised the msrp price and had a mark up tag. I walked and was looking elsewhere. Got a call and they gave me an initial offer of around 8% off.
Great show guys
There are so many dynamics that are going to drive car prices down it's ridiculous.
1. The market will be flooded with less expensive repossessed cars
2. Demographic shift and the passing away of baby boomers will also create a surplus of used cars
3. The fact that the interest rates were hiked to 10 or 12 times and the majority of wages have not inflation-adjusted over the past four or five years... So things became more expensive but purchasing power reduced at the same time...
4. Newer vehicles have better transmissions and often have several overdrive gears not just one... My jeep has FOUR overdrive gears via the 9 soeed transmission. This is probably going to cause engines to last longer and vehicles to be able to drive for more miles before they wear out.
5. Many people with great jobs now don't have to drive to work. Software engineers are a good example of someone who could buy just about any car who now needs a car half as much as they used to.
6. High gas prices will cause vehicles to last longer befauae theyll drive less.
Uber, Lyft , ride sharing... And on and on ...
There is still a shortage of good late model used cars, we still have less new car inventory than before covid.
Ford sales are up by 4 percent year over year.
If a taxi, Uber or Lift driver is making 20 trips back and forth during a shift, then their vehicle only lasts a few years. Those vehicles are not reducing total miles driven for all vehicles. They actually drive more miles because of the need to make trips empty, to pick people up for their rides.
So, they don't relieve congested roads, save gas or relieve pollution, unless those vehicles are a Prius or a Tesla.
About 10 years ago, I took a taxi ride in a Prius for work. The owner/driver of the car shared the vehicle with a partner. They ran the vehicle 6 days per week, 24 hours per day, each working a twelve hour shift. Every two weeks, on their one day off per week, one or the other driver would take the vehicle in for an oil change. The vehicle had over 120,000 miles on it in less than one year.
So, possibly a 2 year or so life span for that Prius. At that rate, many will need to be purchased during a driver's life of work.
The driver said that he was putting his son through medical school. If true, a noble cause for driving so many hours for so many years.
Most people drive a vehicle one way to work, where the vehicle sits all day and then gets driven back home in the evening. That personal vehicle doesn't make extra trips to pick up riders at other locations and then drive another trip to the rider's destination and then repeat that process all day long.
In Toronto Canada a Jeep Rubicon X with two simple options with tax is 100k.
Now they just raised the price 2k !!!
Now 102k since last week.
WHO RAISES THE PRICE WHEN SALES SUCK ???
They can keep it.
#LetThemRotOnTheLot
Only in the land of canadia!
you are broke, stop looking at the ugly Jeeps and buy something you can afford. Thats like complaining you cant pay $3k rent or buy a $1million dollar home in Toronto....
How are stats when broken down by region? How can I get a good deal in a high competitive market in the Northeast vs Midwest?
OMG Zach you are in my town. So sad that I could not meet you. Enjoy the weather.. good time to visit the Bay Area
Since I'm traveling, a dealership took my hold deposit (a credit card payment) over the phone 10 days ahead of purchase date, for a OTD agreement.
What are you seeing for discounts on 4runner TRD Premium and Limited models? Very popular in Colorado had to find deals on them here. I would consider getting one in a different area. Thx! Are they back to leasing well yet?
Using your tips, I was able to save nearly $5000 on a new 2024 Power Wagon. Had I not had a trade with negative to roll I could have done even better. Thank you so much for the education. I only wish I would found you guys sooner.
Be nice to have a graph that shows sales motion from one brand/model to another one. I'm sure the market is shifting based on the popularity and number of attendees at EV shows.
Long time viewer in San Jose, CA. Enjoy your time in our beautiful city.
I wouldn't use the words "built to order" because the manufacturers and dealers only want to sell the high trim packages. They wont' let us order low trim or manual transmission vehicles. A lot of people in my area are so fed up with buying cars in greedy USA that they buy those small used Japanese utility vehicles. They are simple and last forever. Cheapest tire size you can find too.
I want to purchase a 21 gle what price should I be looking for?
Hey Ray, where did you get the cool gray Mini tshirt in the recent Sun article featuring your story? I would love to get one!
Can you tell us data for unsold 2022 and 2023 new cars and trucks in the USA as of today ?? I never have seen so many old new models this late in the model year.
Part of the problem with promotions that go on too long is that customers don't feel compelled to buy. That's why most sales have short time frames. So Ram will probably bring that discount back to lure those that hesitated/delayed before to get that discount before it goes away.
Toyotas and Hondas are selling just fine in my area.....still only have a handful of new cars on the lot.
What about new truck inventory and days on market? Especially the midsize truck segment? Waiting to buy my first new truck in 23 years.
The Toyota dealership by my house always seems hopping.
I'm currently looking at purchasing a full size truck at the end of the year, beginning of next year. I'm comparing all makes and prices. Do ya'll recommend purchasing a new truck or a used one under 4 years old. I will be financing.
I'll be ready to start shopping the week before Christmas.
In atlanta I absolutely have seen prices drop 15 plus percent on CDJR.
On 2023's yes. Nothing else though. Sales are happening, every other car I see has a new car plate on it.
@@cobra935o I actually have been paying attention to dealer tags and I only saw 1 on my 25 mile commute today. It was on a used kia
I’ve been HD truck shopping for months now. I save different trucks to my favorites on Caredge almost daily and they are constantly being sold. These are all trucks between $60 and $80k. So someone is buying them.
Someone is stupid…
Ford sells like 40,000+ trucks per month.... They could lower prices and sell more but that wouldn't make sense... because lets assume they sell 50,000 a month by lowering prices... so they did move 10K more units... the problem is they had to discount all 50K including the 40,000 they were going to sell anyway with no discount. Ford isn't going to lose 7-10K on 40,000 units just to sell an extra 10K trucks...
They’re not all selling. A small percentage are but the rest are being rotated by dealers. I’m waiting for a big sale to buy a new car and I’ve been keeping track of the vin for the cars I’m interested in. I see them gone from a dealership and then pop up at another
It's regional. Places like rural NC dealers some trucks havnt sold in over a year. My local Ford dealer still has some 2023 f150s still on the lot over 400 days now. There are many areas in this country where people can't afford a $30k car let alone a $65k or higher vehicle. Iv never seen ford chevy and ram lots so full in my area with inventory unsold for so long in my life
I went to the nearest Toyotaa dealership to buy a 24 4Runner knowing they were not on the list to take a toyota manufacture employee discount but figured whatthe heck . When asked i was up front and told the salesperson and they were unaware of it. They went to the manager and asked and came back to me saying they couldntaccept it sndcouldnt come close to the price i can get. Now i have to travel 2 hours in any direction to go to a dealership that will allow the employee discount.
Mw wife were coming back from a trip to visit our son yesterday, and you have hours to talk, and we talked whether we needed to get a new car and we both decided, that it would be insane to buy a new car right now.
I sat with a GM of a decent size RV dealership in AZ and he said they haven't sold a single one yet this month...
I brought my VW to the dealership today and couldn't find a parking space because of so much inventor.
Extended my lease another monther, a nussan rogue. Only have month left. Its been a total nightmare finding a lease in my price range.
Hey Zach. your service wuld be awesome to see in Canada (start with Ontario). What does it take to consider it?
“Pops’s takin shots” - keepin it real 👊🏼👏🏼💪🏼
1:49 Car Dealership Guy revealed his identity last night on CNBC’s Last Call. I enjoy that show and often have car topics. I record episodes and watch when I miss.
Vi är bara i maj fortfarande.
Jag börjar undra om 2024 kan bli extremt intressant??????. Tack och lov för att man bor i väldigt litet land på norra halvklotet.
I’ve been delivering fuel to car-mass in central GA, and the parking lot out front is so packed I can’t get to the fuel tank😂
What is “car-mass” ?
Max? Lol.
I can attest the for the Jeep GC 4xe is deeply discounted. My local dealership has it discounted at 25% off. Which is a killer for me since I cannot get rid of my lemon of vehicle that Jeep will refuses to take back.
I went today to a dealership to look at a used car. Didn’t even have an open parking space because their inventory was taking customers parking spots!
11:01 day supply is also affect by production numbers. Id be more interested in total vehicles sold in those categories to determine market interest.
Those discounts can’t be found in Dallas/Ft Worth
My 2004 F150 finally dumped on me 232,000. Now it is a driveway ornament. I am hoping to hold off on buy a new or newer used truck until prices come down. I refuse to have a vehicle payment over $400.00 all 6 of my family's vehicles are paid for. Have always tried to make double payments.
Sell that F-150 to one of the folks on here that think prices on new trucks will fall to 1980’s prices in the near future.
Prices not down where I am. Still massively marked up
My last two vehicles (2022 Porsche Macan and 2023 BMW 530e) were both custom ordered and paid at MSRP. As their leases are coming due (Porsche in Dec 2024 and BMW in Nov 2025) I thinking that if I custom order again, I’m not likely to get any real deals off MSRP. Am I better to search existing inventory to get the best deal thereby giving up some of the options I really want?
I don’t know man.. I just bought a car today and there were tons of people buying. Each time we went to the dealership it was busy. I do feel I did get a good deal.
I've thought of upgrading but I'm in no hurry because my existing vehicles run great. I can wait as long as need be, indefinitely even.
When wilknthe toyoda stout arrive?
Boom just got 7 notifications from my Honda Odyssey 18 n 19 years...price drops today!
More brands are off than on - this may end the commission split structure at retail dealers.
Sales people don’t impact buyers decision as buyer look at prices first and the supply on hand. Online sales consultants with a delivery team will make more money for the dealers.
Good deals may be available, but no way am I setting foot in a dealership to find out. I'll buy late model used from a no-haggle seller like Carmax or Carvana.
San Jose shout out! cool.
I've been watching the chevy HD trucks with a duramax for over a year now and my local dealer has a 2023 2500 high country marker down 13000$ off of 73000. Only problem now is the interest rates because even with 20000 down its a 900 a month payment. And it's hard to justify it.
Yikes..my self I’m good at 900 for an HD, but not after giving 20k down. I’ve actually had to really down grade to basically looking for a dually single cab in gas..that will provide enough for what I wanna tow. I don’t tow often enough to justify the diesel engine along with all the add maintenance..Good luck
If is collapsing now for some time now then why are the prices and interest rates so high still?
A lot of folks on here are getting high on hopeium.
I dictate on my terms. Example: I tell the dealer if i like a car they advertise i want to know if the price has market adjustment and other fees so i ask the estimate OTD and if it is negotiable. If they can’t answer and beat around the bush i tell them i will come when i am ready until they call me again and again and again
Can you push for more price adjustments and benefits when you have to wait 18 months before the car even comes in? I am waiting on a 2024 Prius Prime to lease. I put down my deposit and am on the list. When they eventually get the car in, do you think at that point that I can work with them on the price of the lease? Never leased a vehicle after having to wait over a year to receive it. I would assume that there will be no "play room" with cars that are so hard to get.
you can always ask and negotiate. They can always simply say no.
Doubtful, they can always call the person that is after you on the list and get the full price.
Two things to keep in mind. fewer cars were produced in 21 and 22 so fewer of those in the used market Also as we get into August and September, the 25 are going to start to roll and the 24 will be discounted.

Seeing your chart on discounts, my wife and I purchased a new 2023 Jeep Compass Limited for our daughter on Mar 30, 2024 and all in, it was 21.56% off the total MSRP ($9,645 off). The dealer was hurting, they had 5 leftover 2023 Jeep Compass models on the lot, and we were the ONLY sale they made on those even with that much of a discount.
What dealer fees did they add? I do hope you paid for an extended warranty. It will be needed.
@@cmiles97x38 dealer fee was $499. I've had several Rams and Jeeps.. and ALWAYS get the extended warranty. BUT, I don't get them at the dealer. I get them after directly from MOPAR and it is much cheaper than what a dealer quotes.
@@cmiles97x38 He said, "all in". I would assume OTD?
Over $44,700.00 MSRP for a Compass. Ouch.
@@dvader3263 Yep! $44,735. At that price, we weren't even considering a Compass. Our first choice was a Mazda CX5.
Bought a New 2023 F150 Lariat got about 11% off MSRP and got 1.9% for 72 months. Dallas Tx
Over 3k off a new Subaru forester! So only 25k out the door. Just saw this the other day
