Evelyn ..thanks for sharing! I am a class of 1981 alum and I always like to see and hear what is happening at Clarkson and in Potsdam! Much has changed but one thing remains constant: Clarkson is a great school and high level education that prepares you for success in the world after graduation! Best of luck!

Wow this video is super helpful! Clarkson is my #1 but it's out of state so I'm trying to get more informed. I was going to visit this summer but now I can't 😑. This video is really helpful. I am somewhat nervous about going pretty far away for school because I have have some food allergies and I am also a vegetarian/ vegan (hopeful). How is the availability of vegetarian food on campus. I am worried becuase from what I've seen a lot of schools have these options but a lot of dairy is used and I'm lactose intolerant anyway that was a whole lot to ask, but is there access to enough food from dining, and would I have access to a kitchen where I could cook? I know some schools have like a kitchen on one of the dorm floors or something like that? Thanks!
Anna I’m a vegetarian and they have options that are pretty good, and they are very accommodating. I have a friend who is lactose intolerant and a friend who is allergic to gluten, and the dining hall staff is very helpful and has options for them. Moore house does have a kitchen, but freshman don’t normally live there, and the Price Hall is being redone to have kitchenettes. Another option Clarkson has for those with really specific food needs is that if you discuss it with them they could let you have an apartment/townhouse with your own kitchen so your food is just yours. I would definitely reach out to residence life with these questions and they will point you in the right direction. I know someone who lives in an apartment because they are vegan, and I know someone who lives in apartment because they have celiacs...they will work with you! Also I think they are adding a place where students can cook to student center, but I think that’s more like for cooking lessons and to reserve for parties and stuff but I’m not sure.

I googled it and it says: “Clarkson University is ranked 751 in QS World University Rankings by TopUniversities.”
Clarkson is actually one of my top choices but do they give a lot of scholarships to international students
Clarkson does give decent aid/scholarships, so I’m sure there are good incentives for international students! You can email our international center for more info!

Nope
But it gets cold in Potsdam pretty quickly

random person there are lots of research projects on campus! You can just email professors and set up meetings with them, talk about their research, and ask if you can work with them! Research is very prevalent on campus, and there is lots of research in computer science! You can look at professors’ bios on Clarkson’s website and read about their research and then reach out to them!
