That happened to me once, a friend of mine (he's still my friend by the way), who drinks Fireball, wanted to try a whisky zo I gave him a Aberlour 12 NCF. He looks at the glass, doesn't smell the whisky, chucks it back and says "it tastes like wet wood" I'm like 😳😳😳. I made a deal with him that I would do a proper tasting with him some day 😂😂😂😂
@@robertmason2311 Yeah, followed by the comment "it tastes like wet wood" complements the horror 😂. But then again I had a Fireball once and that's a experience I don't want to repeat again. I didn't taste anything for an hour
I could not agree more with all your points. Very nice video again 😊👍🏻 btw the intro was too damn hilarious 😂😂 probably you should start a comedy channel 😀
I laughed out loud at the intro! And I was surprised how serious you got later. But generally, you're right: basically all attitudes (and their counterparts) you describe are understandable and all of them can be found and observed easily. And actually, the good thing is, if you're intelligent, you can laugh about them all - EVEN if you can see yourself in them!
When its really hot outside, ice in a single malt tastes sooo nice. Or maybe i should say; really cold? I also want to state a fact... Everything tastes better outdoors. To pour a dram in the woods, idealy by a creek is heaven. The taste almost doubles in enjoyability.
Love this one mate, especially how smug you were looking in the intro 😂 If you are open to some nice criticism on pronunciation, the way you said Gaelic is the Irish way of pronouncing it. If it’s Irish you say Gay-lick, but for Scottish it’s Gah-lick, with an ‘ah’ sound. We have a Scottish woman in our tasting club who is fluent in Gaelic and she calls us out on that every time.
I don't know if it's true, but others (there/here) have claimed a N. American pattern of favouring Irish Gaelic pronunciations over Scots Gaelic ones. Maybe it's just the proportion of 19-20C Irish immigrants to some parts?🤔
Geoff great... sort of review...another example which I have a lot is when people coming to my home bar and ask for the most expensive and complex whisky I have..... it's like infant asking for sushi then of course they either pretending they like it or just criticize it 🤔 lol
Blending whiskies yourself. I had half a bottle of Campbeltown Loch that I spiced up with half a bottle of Kilkerran 12yo. In my view, they are both Springbanks. If not, it’s still a Campbeltown blended malt. One of my whisky friends really looked at me as if I had done something illegal 😂
There are so many outcast whiskys that I love. I honestly think there are people that are unable to actually taste the whisky because of their thick barrier of prejudices. I dont mind to say I LOVE Cragganmore 12, Oban 14, The Singleton of Dufftown 12, Clynelish 14 and Royal Lochnagar 12.
Loved the video! Good job mate. It makes me think about the inner 'whisky wanker' dialogue. For example: Lee, don't like this Lagavulin Offerman bottle. It's not allowed to be as good as Port Charlotte, because of reasons! Good reasons. But wait, other Lee, this is delicious! What else matters! 🙄
Splendid video Geoff! Entertaining but also full of wisdom :) I don't necessarily hate the things in the list. I have "issues" of my own, you know... The one thing I absolutely hate is being told by somebody who drinks whisky to knock themselves out something like the following: "Oh, I don't like that whisky because it gave me awful hangover after we drank a couple of bottles the previous night. It must've been a fake." I hate alcohol abuse and I hate people judging a dram by the "quality" of the headache they had after getting themselves drunk. Cheers!
I am a snob, but I am a constructive one. If I find out that one likes a bottle which I have on my shelf while I don't like that whisky so much anymore, I always consider to give that bottle away. In general, it is a win win transaction as I do not like to have too many bottles I do not really like. So, I consider - for example - to give away my Aberlour 12 to a colleague. It is a perfectly good whisky, but I prefer other drams. I only drink whisky which I really enjoy as alcohol is, after all, a poison. Sometimes giving away a bottle which i dont like feels similar to buy a new one (it could btw well be the anticipation of buying a new bottle!)
Fun episode. Super curious about Maclean's Nose though. It's not a blend I'm familiar with and I'd love to see the full review. Love the more value priced blends. Cheers.
Yes immediately triggered - felt like someone had check braked me on the highway! One ☝️ other thing is glassware - served exxy whisky in a tumbler 🥃 makes my skin crawl. Smelling it is half the pleasure, so some plate with edges does f-all for the experience. Enjoyed the list 😀😀
Another “objection” I sometimes hear: the “wrong” glassware. I have a bunch of glencairns, but once poured a friend a dram into a Riedel whisky glass. You might have thought I poured it into a paper cup. (I’m in the minority who think the Riedel is a good glass.) Also, related to your very excellent “mystery” pour: people who refuse to drink blended whiskey. I believe the Maclean’s Nose is 70% single malt, 30% grain.
if it's bloody hot and humid and you want to enjoy sipping a refreshing summer dram, which can be understandable , glencadam 10/orchard house, glengoyne 12, Dalwhinnie 15 (nah, I'm kidding ;0 ), etc , just pour it and put the glencairn itself in the freezer for 10-15 mins rather than dilute too much
Hi Geoff excellent video, had a good laugh and know exactly where your coming from. People can do what they want to with their whisky me personally can’t see the point though in putting ice in a malt whisky a cheap blend yes. Started to cringe at the intro. Please say that wasn’t a springbank 10. Again, excellent video, slàinte Geoff. P.S glad I don’t know any whisky snobs 👍🥃
I do get a little pissed when I have someone over who professes to be a whisky drinker and then chooses a really premium 15 or 18 yo as their drink of choice from the very wide selection I am fortunate enough to have. What gets to me is when they just swig it down almost like a tequila shot. I am sitting savouring my dram and have drunk 10% of what I poured and I look over and their glass is already empty. Drives me nuts. But I also know I am a little OCD, really snobby about my whisky, but most of all a dick.
Hello Geoff, thank you very much for almost making me wetting my pants @ the first 1:30 of the Video. 😂 Great Dry Humor as always. (Pssshht🤐 I the hot Summertime i really love a nice Bourbon matured Single Malt getting mixed with Ginger Ale and a Dash of Lime Juice, served with Ice. Its deliciously refreshing.)😅 Greetings from Germany 😎🤘
Tank top Geoffs are my favourite characters now 🤣🤣🤣 I have some friends who have more money than taste or sense and it really irks me when we're at a whisky shop or they're getting a gift they buy the most -or near most- expensive bottles they see just because of the price and act like, before they even taste it, that it is the best whisky out there. I know it's petty and I shouldn't judge but damn dude we could've gotten the whole Arran Smuggler Series for that price!!!
This video should be saved for posterity's sake for all the future generations of whisky drinkers to be able to see 😁🥃🥃 Probably my favorite video from you so far Geoff! It needs to go the "Hall of Fame" of the whisky videos online! 🏆🥃🥃 Great work my friend! 🤣🤣😁😁
The thing that pisses me off is pouring too much whisky in a Glencairn. When the glass is half full. That makes me flinch. BTW I love the Whisky Tribe vibe: "The best whisky is the whisky you like, the way you like to drink it." In the meantime, I also like to silently judge people who don't drink their whisky the right way (my way) 😅
I hate it when people drink the whiskey I serve them without smelling it first. Okay, I'll be honest, I even hate it when they don't smell it long enough. Recently I was wondering if not wanting to talk to people who don't appreciate whiskey makes me a snob. I think it does. I have become a snob.
My "of the moment" pet peeve is when you send a decent bottle half way round the world and you find out they are drinking it at a ridiculous dilution (we are talking full highball glass -yes, they do have glencairns- from a single dram pour). I only found this out last week so still a very open wound - no more Tamdhu 15, or any Tamdhu, for you there's nothing I can do about the Ledaig 10 that is currently in the Christmas balikbayan box.
Haha good vid, G. The smirk when you sipped that [shutters] Springbank and coke gave me a good giggle 😆 And actually your mystery pour does tie in nicely because there are many that think blends are all poorer quality than single malts. Definitely not the case if you find the right ones! Cheers 🥃
Haha. Great video Geoff. We need more of this whisky comedy/standup* . The ice in the SB10 was funny, then the Coke came out 😂😂 PETS works so well as an acronym. I'm just off to order some whisky stones....😅😅 *from a sensible, seated position
The intro was hilarious, but you should have drank that Springbank out of the cut-off bottom of a 2L plastic Coke-bottle for an extra level of class....Trailer Park Boys-style😂. Always love your videos!
Fun video, most surprising being to learn you're originally from Québec, étonnant, non ? ! I'll go French then...moi ce qui m'énerve ce sont ceux qui prononcent les noms de vins français n'importe comment, surtout ceux qui se prétendent experts en vins et whiskies et sont ultra-condescendants (...), mais il y a aussi je le suppose une partie des usages qui doit être locale et adaptative, par exemple dire "Cab Frank" (prononcer le "c") au lieu de Cabernet Franc, un usage américain apparemment courant et pas forcément dédaigneux, mais qui à nous français apparaît comme vulgaire...Autrement très amusante l'intro et l'exemple du croissant...Je suis sûr qu'il y a d'autres exemples que les 5 énoncés, mais là vite fait, je ne vois pas...Bien joué en tout cas, et moi aussi j'essaie de ne pas trop être rigide pour les usages question modes de consommation...j'ai choqué récemment quelqu'un en parlant de glace dans le whisky, tout en donnant un contexte (jamais dans mon Port Ellen !!! ). Salutations de France !
Hey Geoff. I'm one of those people who've discussed Gaelic (pr. garlic 😉) pronunciation with you. I tried to do so in the form simply of showing how easy it is to find the correct pronunciations, e.g. a web search. I do understand that the whole of this vid. of yours is in jest. And mispronunciations do not make me angry or irate. But still I am going to suggest one thing to you: names matter. Just earlier tonight I watched the first of a two-part report on Al Jazeera for the programme 101 East. It was about deep-sea mining in the Pacific. The Australian journalist/reporter was quite respectful of all whom she interviewed, but it was still a little jarring that she pronounced the country of Nauru as "nah-roo", as opposed to "naa-*oo*-roo"--or "now-roo" is also possible if one "rolls" the "au" part. Sure, just a tiny thing, and I can make mis-pronunciations (& typos.) of all sorts of words just like anyone else. But it matters when such behaviours recur and become patterns, and it makes a big difference whether someone makes such a mistake seemingly wilfully as opposed to simple ignorance. We won't always get pronunciations correct, but again, it makes a big difference if we approach that task with care and respect, and show that we are *trying* to get the pronunciation right, as opposed to a) not caring to bother, or b) pretending to not care to bother simply for laughs. Because it's funny maybe once or twice, but not too many more times after that. OK, whisky names aren't necessarily people's or countries' names, but languages are important parts of peoples' cultures. I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm saying there are other perspectives/ways of looking at it that may also have some value/utility.
My wife started calling me a "whiskey snob" years ago, when I first started buying different kinds of glasses and comparing them to one another. I am admittedly very picky about how I consume whiskey, but I don't care how anyone else drinks it, so that's not a "snob" in my opinion. I honestly don't mind being called one either though.
At a party, someone pouring me a neat whisky in a plastic cup makes me nuts! I know i should be grateful for the drink, but seriously, have some (even basic as hell) glassware for neat whiskey drinkers.
The opening was great. I can't imagine that Springbank would go well with Coke, but maybe I'm wrong. (I think it would taste good in a sour or a Manhattan.) I have a bottle of Springbank 15. Should I try it? I would have a hard time convincing myself to do so, but if I am ever in the presence of someone who would visibly blow a gasket at the sight, I might have to sacrifice a little Springbank 15. Traditional North American whisky (i.e. bourbon, rye, or blended Canadian) works better with Coke anyway. Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 goes just fine in Coke. I'm sure Pappy Van Winkle would too, but I don't have any of that. I don't see the big corporate 40%-43% ABV whiskies ever going away, though I suppose it is possible that they could become less popular. If this happens, hopefully better presented options will appear on the market at non-absurd prices. The heavily filtered 40%-43% whiskies have their place. I suspect that they were gateways to single malts for most of us. Back in the 1990s, they were all I could get, so they were the best choices, and the Macallan line was the best of the bunch. Macallan wasn't so horribly expensive back then - even the 18 was affordable. Many of them still taste good, but because I have since discovered better ones, I am aware of what they are missing, so there is always a little disappointment. The last time I had Macallan 12, this was how I reacted to it. The nose is wonderful, but it is thin on the palate. Imagine how good a non-chill filtered, higher strength version of Macallan 12 might be. Someone I know loves single malts, but he likes to drink them over crushed ice. Neat pours are too potent for his taste. I wouldn't drink a nice single malt this way, but we all have different preferences. I'm not going to get upset with someone for doing this, but when talking about whisky, I'll go over some of my history and how I got into drinking neat pours. That way, it comes across as a gentle suggestion rather than snobbery. Also, it can give people a path forward if they think they might want to work up to neat pours. The last time we met, we both had the standard version of Nikka Yoichi at a Japanese restaurant. It's moderately peated and flavorful enough to stand up to ice, so it turned out to be a good choice for my friend.
Yeah offering some gentle suggestions to someone who might learn to better appreciate a whisky without being pushy or snobby is probably the best way to do it. They don't need to listen to you, but they might benefit from that advice. Best we can hope for. I've heard from so many people how good Macallan used to be back in the day. Sadly most of us in the whisky scene today were too late for that party. Sounds like good times! 🥃

Ice goes with cheap whisky. Coke goes with rum. When I was much younger I remember a friend trying to impress us by drinking scotch for the first time (the rest of us had for several years). Then he proceeded to put ice and coke in his drink. We were maybe 17, and were horrified!
Great video! I think there are a few cocktails that really highlights and benefits from a great maltwhisky: The penicillin and Rob Roy for example. Mixed right, Springbank 10 is not wasted in any of them
I had a buddy where I poured a nice 10 year Scotch and he threw it down like a shot. I was like ok then. We have totally different beliefs about whiskey.

Hahahah that was great vid Geoff, I think others have already said everything which could be said about these topics :). Personally, I appreciate corrections about pronouncing, grammar etc. This way I'll learn something new!
Totally get #2. I'm one of those shameful few on the planet who doesn't tear up over a dram of SB. It's okay, mildly interesting and while I can appreciate the old school production methods, the liquid isn't that interesting for me. Somehow saying this feels blasphemous and while part of me feels like I should keep this dirty little secret to myself, the other part of me says 'f#ck em'. Such is the life of a whisky renegade.
So I am not a big malt malt whisky person, but these all fall into the bourbon society as well. Drink what you enjoy and how you enjoy, oh and just remember to remember that you should remember those things you should remember.

There are people out there who think good single malts can only come from Scotland. I don't agree with them. About half of the single malts in my collection are not from Scotland. Many are quite different from the usual Scotch style, but some are quite close. Hopefully one of these days, I'll encounter the one that you mention. I'm in the United States. Unfortunately, most of what we get from Canada isn't all that great. Typically, all I see in the Canadian section of the liquor store are the usual lightweight blends. (Alberta Premium cask strength rye is very good, so at least we get something worthwhile.) Hopefully more of the good stuff will make it here eventually.

Hah 18 yr old shots. 😬
I could not agree more with all your points. Very nice video again 😊👍🏻 btw the intro was too damn hilarious 😂😂 probably you should start a comedy channel 😀
I took that sunglasses intro personally 🤣
Haha I wouldn't dream on moving in on your sunglasses game. 😉🥃
Funny thing is your right and even tongue in cheek the haters will hate!! Enjoy!!
A cask strength peated whisky outdoors is a joy, it also improves a bad round of golf considerably 👍
That opening sequence made my laugh out loud.. nicely done dude :-)
Hah cheers man. 🥃
Geoff, you surpassed yourself with this video.
Nicely done.
Lol thanks buddy! 🥃
Love this one mate, especially how smug you were looking in the intro 😂
If you are open to some nice criticism on pronunciation, the way you said Gaelic is the Irish way of pronouncing it. If it’s Irish you say Gay-lick, but for Scottish it’s Gah-lick, with an ‘ah’ sound. We have a Scottish woman in our tasting club who is fluent in Gaelic and she calls us out on that every time.
Hah cheers, buddy.
Strange, my mum and grandparents are Scottish, and they always pronounced it "Gay-lick."
@@Gwhisky That is strange, I wonder if different regions of Scotland pronounce it differently.
I don't know if it's true, but others (there/here) have claimed a N. American pattern of favouring Irish Gaelic pronunciations over Scots Gaelic ones. Maybe it's just the proportion of 19-20C Irish immigrants to some parts?🤔
@@jbar6284 Possible. Mum and grandparents are direct immigrants though. Maybe some kind of regional differences?
Geoff great... sort of review...another example which I have a lot is when people coming to my home bar and ask for the most expensive and complex whisky I have..... it's like infant asking for sushi then of course they either pretending they like it or just criticize it 🤔 lol
"Give me your finest cheapest champagne, sir." 😉
Entertaining but also full of wisdom :)
I don't necessarily hate the things in the list.
Cheers!
Ah yeah. The guy who drinks to get buzzed, not to enjoy. I know him. No good. Cheers! 🥃
I'd be friends with a snob if they gave me free bottles. Definitely win-win! 😂
Fun episode. Super curious about Maclean's Nose though. It's not a blend I'm familiar with and I'd love to see the full review. Love the more value priced blends. Cheers.
A review will be out within a month, hopefully. Cheers! 🥃
Hi Geoff,
Je suis surpris d'apprendre que tu viens du Québec ! Magnifique province ❤!
That was a fun video. Very refreshing.
Cheers
Hah cheers buddy. Yes originally from Montréal. 🥃
À quand un top 5 pour les soirs à -20 après avoir déneigé ? 😂
Easy list. Les 5 bouteilles les plus forts que vous avez. 🥃
Haha cheers buddy. 🥃
My morning was tough one, but this video made my day better 😂 number 2 is me 😅
😂 Glad you enjoyed! 🥃
Another “objection” I sometimes hear: the “wrong” glassware. I have a bunch of glencairns, but once poured a friend a dram into a Riedel whisky glass. You might have thought I poured it into a paper cup. (I’m in the minority who think the Riedel is a good glass.)
Also, related to your very excellent “mystery” pour: people who refuse to drink blended whiskey. I believe the Maclean’s Nose is 70% single malt, 30% grain.
Good ones! 🥃
if it's bloody hot and humid and you want to enjoy sipping a refreshing summer dram, which can be understandable , glencadam 10/orchard house, glengoyne 12, Dalwhinnie 15 (nah, I'm kidding ;0 ), etc , just pour it and put the glencairn itself in the freezer for 10-15 mins rather than dilute too much
Absolutely agree! 🥃
Hah cheers David. I think most of us actively avoid the snobs! 🥃
0:24 - Surprised you didn't took a good swing out of the bottle before leaving it open on the table 😅
That's why I always keep some budget drams on hand for people who aren't really that into whisky. 🥃
Hello Geoff,
thank you very much for almost making me wetting my pants @ the first 1:30 of the Video. 😂
Great Dry Humor as always.
(Pssshht🤐
I the hot Summertime i really love a nice Bourbon matured Single Malt getting mixed with Ginger Ale and a Dash of Lime Juice, served with Ice. Its deliciously refreshing.)😅
Greetings from Germany 😎🤘
Well...as long as no Springbank was harmed.😅 Some might call the intro a capital offense. Great stuff, Geoff! 👍
Tank top Geoffs are my favourite characters now 🤣🤣🤣
I have some friends who have more money than taste or sense and it really irks me when we're at a whisky shop or they're getting a gift they buy the most -or near most- expensive bottles they see just because of the price and act like, before they even taste it, that it is the best whisky out there. I know it's petty and I shouldn't judge but damn dude we could've gotten the whole Arran Smuggler Series for that price!!!
Hah I know the type, too. Those are the type of guys that are keeping the entire Macallan empire afloat. Cheers buddy! 🥃
G your intro deadpan humour with the Springbank being doused in ice was crossing the line then adding coke you blasted thru the line! Fantastic stuff!
😂😂😂
At least you are making the Coke taste better 😃
True! 😂🥃
😂 The whisky illuminati lizard eyes ahahaha
Great video as always!
Lol that visual took me an hour. 😂
@@Gwhisky totally worth it!!
This video should be saved for posterity's sake for all the future generations of whisky drinkers to be able to see 😁🥃🥃
Probably my favorite video from you so far Geoff!
It needs to go the "Hall of Fame" of the whisky videos online! 🏆🥃🥃
Great work my friend! 🤣🤣😁😁
Well said!
Hah thanks buddy. This was a fun one to make, glad you liked it! 🥃
The thing that pisses me off is pouring too much whisky in a Glencairn. When the glass is half full. That makes me flinch. BTW I love the Whisky Tribe vibe: "The best whisky is the whisky you like, the way you like to drink it." In the meantime, I also like to silently judge people who don't drink their whisky the right way (my way) 😅
Ah yeah a half-full glencairn... I've had some guests pour themselves VERY generous drams before. Very irritating! 🥃
Even more fun when they don't actually like the whisky and they end up abandoning the glass somewhere
Just paused the video to say that the intro is *sublime* 😂
Lol cheers. 🥃
Great show. Loved it thoroughly, though the first 2 mins wanted me to break my Samsung Tab.
😂😂😂
Hey, I’m from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Live in Ecuador now. Love your humor.
Great video! Looks like you had fun making it. Hoping McCain nose appears here. Cheers
Thanks so much, buddy! Yes, Maclean's Nose will be reviewed within the next month or two. Cheers! 🥃
Springbank + Coke = 😳. Still, IIRC at some festival Ardbeg were serving Ardbeg 10 (5?) with Cherry coke. Might be worth a whirl.
I could honestly see Wee Beastie working well with Cherry Coke and honestly it might overpower the Coke.
Ardbeg 5 with Sprite is a winner for me in terms of refreshing Summer mixer
I hate it when people drink the whiskey I serve them without smelling it first. Okay, I'll be honest, I even hate it when they don't smell it long enough. Recently I was wondering if not wanting to talk to people who don't appreciate whiskey makes me a snob. I think it does. I have become a snob.
Lol at least you're a self-aware snob, which makes it... better? 😂🥃
Annoying talaga! 🥃
Ah man, I miss living in Vermont and driving across the border to Quebec! And browsing the SAQ selection of course, hopefully it’s not sinful!
People forget, it's just a tasty beverage. Nothing more, nothing less.
One of my most laugh out loud videos of yours to date...great job
Hah thanks Mark. Cheers! 🥃
Haha good vid, G. The smirk when you sipped that [shutters] Springbank and coke gave me a good giggle 😆
And actually your mystery pour does tie in nicely because there are many that think blends are all poorer quality than single malts. Definitely not the case if you find the right ones! Cheers 🥃
Hah thanks man. And yes... the Maclean's Nose is a solid one. I'll try to review it soon. 🥃
Recently bought a bottle myself for 28 euro!
Haha. Great video Geoff. We need more of this whisky comedy/standup* . The ice in the SB10 was funny, then the Coke came out 😂😂 PETS works so well as an acronym. I'm just off to order some whisky stones....😅😅
*from a sensible, seated position
Hah thanks man. Glad you enjoyed it! 🥃
The intro was hilarious, but you should have drank that Springbank out of the cut-off bottom of a 2L plastic Coke-bottle for an extra level of class....Trailer Park Boys-style😂.
Always love your videos!
Hah noted for the next triggering video! 🥃😂
I knew you were going to add Coke to the Springbank 10-- Arrrrrgggghhhh! Though, I do add a small ice cube to single malt Scotch in summer.
Fun video, most surprising being to learn you're originally from Québec, étonnant, non ? ! I'll go French then...moi ce qui m'énerve ce sont ceux qui prononcent les noms de vins français n'importe comment, surtout ceux qui se prétendent experts en vins et whiskies et sont ultra-condescendants (...), mais il y a aussi je le suppose une partie des usages qui doit être locale et adaptative, par exemple dire "Cab Frank" (prononcer le "c") au lieu de Cabernet Franc, un usage américain apparemment courant et pas forcément dédaigneux, mais qui à nous français apparaît comme vulgaire...Autrement très amusante l'intro et l'exemple du croissant...Je suis sûr qu'il y a d'autres exemples que les 5 énoncés, mais là vite fait, je ne vois pas...Bien joué en tout cas, et moi aussi j'essaie de ne pas trop être rigide pour les usages question modes de consommation...j'ai choqué récemment quelqu'un en parlant de glace dans le whisky, tout en donnant un contexte (jamais dans mon Port Ellen !!! ). Salutations de France !
The ice and coke opening was hilarious! Oh my gosh!
😂😂😂😂😂 Perfect video, so funny and all of these are 100% true. Thx Geoff
Heh thanks for watching! 🥃
Great! You've nailed it! 😊
Enjoying a whisky the way you like is great as long as you don't talk down to others, which I'm sure you don't. You're good! 🥃
At a party, someone pouring me a neat whisky in a plastic cup makes me nuts! I know i should be grateful for the drink, but seriously, have some (even basic as hell) glassware for neat whiskey drinkers.
This should be a series, as there's so much more things we hate 😂
Lol true. 🥃

This lizard profile pic definitely needs to happen. Won't even charge you for the rebrand. 😉🥃
The "I only buy Springbank at MSRP" guy. Well, congratulations that you got your Springbank 18 for 100 €. I cannot.
Ice goes with cheap whisky. Coke goes with rum. When I was much younger I remember a friend trying to impress us by drinking scotch for the first time (the rest of us had for several years). Then he proceeded to put ice and coke in his drink. We were maybe 17, and were horrified!

Love, LOVE this video. Putting a mountain of ice in the glass had me getting physically uncomfortable. The "pshhhhh" of the Coke bottle opening really put me over the top. Can't wait for the return of Evil Geoff in future videos! 😎

Very cool video!

Salut Geoff, I'm from Lachine, so you probably know I'm not from China, but from one of the oltest cities of north America (founded in 1669) ' Croissant ' trop drôle ! Love this video !!! Je viens d'acquérir un des premier exemplaire d'un whisky Québécois ' Côte des saints ' Distillerie de Mirabel. Is it a sacrilege to enjoy this great whisky, inspired in the most traditional Scottish ways, but not made in Scotland ?!?
