Aaahh what a lovely round up of your day and purchases. It was so lovely to see you / even if it was brief 😌 on the day. You looked as always - stunning ❤ Love your fabric purchases - and can’t wait to see this made up soon 😊❤ xx
Love, love the blouse. Waiting for my pattern to arrive and you have confirmed what fabric I need to use!! Glad you enjoyed the show. Happy Sewing😊. Lynne
Hi Cara! The top you have on is so cute! Great video! We actually were able to see the northern lights in Colorado also. Unfortunately, I missed it at its best and only saw it a little. I love the satin blouse you made.
Lovely vlog and well done for being so controlled as I completely lost it and bought 8 fabrics - but showing them in my video made me realise that I do not regret buying any of them so all good ahah. Your makes are gorgeous and I also love your fabric choices!
If I could subscribe twice I would 😂. Your Nina Lee Southbank is darling. Great purchases from the show. Recently read that animal print is a neutral and have seen a lovely sewing friend pair red with it and khaki, too. Meeting my brother for an impromptu lunch tomorrow, so of course, I’ll be sewing a new top to wear. Happy sewing, Cara. xx
Hello lovely Cara! I do look forward to your videos popping up on Sundays. It's like getting an injection of sunny happiness. Ok that sounds a bit corny, lol, but you know what I mean. I was a little leery about the Dalmatian fabric, but oh my it turned into one of the cutest sweatshirt type sweaters I've seen. I was looking for the same cream fabric from MF that you are being gifted, but last week I couldn't find it on their site. Have to look again as I love it too. Ooh, did you know I received a gift certificate for a free MF pattern, from the Grenadine competition, yippee! Oh what to choose. The whole train situation in the UK makes me nervous because in most places, in the US, trains & buses aren't a regular daily mode of transportation. It's sad really. But this country is so massive and the infrastructure just can't support it. At the festival, you purchased some cotton thread. What do you like using it for? I know it must have its purposes, but it seems in my sewing journey, I've always been dissuaded from using it, because it isn't as strong as poly thread. Thoughts? As always, I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday the 20th and looking forward to another week of sewing. p.s., Sadly my oomph is still lacking and my missing sewjo is still MIA. Where is the real Rita, and will she please stand up?! lol. Maybe I should write you via email. Others probably think I'm crazy.
Lovely Rita, you are so kind. The Jaquard is on the MF site, maybe it had sold out momentarily? Lovely that you have a voucher to spend that’s such a treat. If I’m honest if I’ve brought a cotton thread as opposed to poly then I wouldn’t have realised! I can’t say I’ve ever had issues with any thread that I’ve brought but I’ll let you know 😅. Trains etc can be such a nightmare here, it’s always been the case but worse recently. I love your comment about looking for Rita. I think we all go through that, but if you look back on your last few months, Wowzers you have been busy! What an adventure so don’t fret you are very much there and I occupied. Obv I only hear a tiny fraction, but it sounds amazing. I always love to hear from you. Have a wonderful week
Hi Cara. Love the outfit! I am getting converted to cream fabric myself now! Just a question… where did you get the fabric you are wearing (if it is still available). Do you have a link? I tried Lamazi fabrics but couldn’t find it there.😮
It’s a brilliant pattern and achievable for everyone, if you’re unsure watch the RUclips video sew along you’ll be able to see what you think, if you choose a stable viscose with drape that would make it easier x

Hi thanks for the lovely feedback, I don’t know where it was from I’m afraid I brought it on a destash account, sorry!
I just checked their website. I don’t see any animal print denim.☹️
Looks like it’s sold out, that’s such a shame, I’d say keep an eye on it as they’re planning to get more x
I have been looking at the Tempete but not sure if it's out of my league sewing wise? Are the instructions idiot proof would you say?

you don't have much written up.... perhaps more information.... links to where to purchase... and show off some patterns
Yup more about going to the show than anything else, thanks for watching
