Saweetie, born Diamonté Harper, is a Bay Area-raised artist renowned for her blend of rap and R&B. She moved to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California where she graduated with a degree in Communication. Right out of college, Saweetie gained attention with her viral hit "Icy Grl" in 2017, in which she freestyled over the iconic “My Neck, My Back” beat. Saweetie went on to sign with Warner Records and released several singles and mixtapes in the lead-up to her forthcoming debut album. Today on the couch, Saweetie discussed her brand new single “Nani”, her love of cars, eating crab legs, and more!

When she said that her demeanor is naturally calm, it finally makes sense. Her vibe is so relaxed and chill, and everyone keeps pressuring her to be perfect and to act a certain way , as she said "high energy". I cant wait to hear more of her music because my friends and I are addicted to almost every song she has organically put up. I love how Zach managed to really get her to express what goes through her mind. Saweetie has always been smart, but I really enjoy how she is incredibly self-aware and just keeps gliding through the madness of a demanding society that expects a lot from artists. I always found she has a lot of fun on stage, but she is quickly ripped by critics for not being enough. I look forward to her album proving people wrong and for her to continue evolving as an artist. Such a vibe.
