What a shame that Bennett died so young. He was so brilliant. He was that quirky mix of genius and mysterious.

The way his voice quivers when he says "It's just nice to know that you're not alone" is so powerful. I'm not even a fan of musicals, but I can tell what a loss his death from AIDS was.

Fun Fact: Even in death, Bennett and Bob Fosse kept competing with each other. "A Chorus Line" was the longest running American Broadway musical until it was overtaken by the "Chicago" revival about a decade or so ago.

It is hard to describe how electrifying and exciting the show was. It was a great theater season in 1975-76. Even out of town productions were just as exciting.

+Pat Fosse He was slated to direct the Tim Rice/ABBA musical "Chess" but had to withdraw due to his illness. I've always wondered how his version would have looked like...

I wonder who owns his estate? I would love to see a tribute show ala “Fosse”. The public would eat it up.

Do you happen to have access to the original video recording of the 1983 Gala Performance? One was made of the entire performance and it would be great to see the memorable evening so many of us have heard about.

He was brilliant however what he did to cast regarding signing away all future earnings, tickets overseas, records, posters, everything connected was simply awful. Hundreds of millions and original Broadway cast got nothing. SHAMEFUL.

The interviewer is tone-deaf, for sure. He didn’t react to a thing that came out of Bennett’s mouth.
