The farmer obviously doesn't have business with other countries. Trump's trade war with China, caused numerous American farmers to lose their land and business. Created business for other countries, and had America give $25 billion in bailouts, for his failure. I don't know why no one talks if this.

How does immigration affect farmers negatively? They have never had an issue hiring immigrants from over the border for their cheap labor.
Trump's tarrifs hurt farmers way more than immigrants!

The sad part about our food supply, the ag industry, is the only way to make money is cheat. The only folks making money are the ones lending the money. Most farms are just chasing debt payments. Years ago farms were based on big families with cheap family labor, now those child laborers have been replaced by immigrants. Sometimes also children. Todays farms are not what we see in story books. They are factories with the inputs and outputs. And not much of it is good for us or the environment.

In many instances the Independants are in an enviable position of power. In a much earlier election, here, it took a conservative independant's vote for the passage of a permanent national, goods and services tax. Everyone to pay extra on certain items. The peasants and pensioners really felt the heat. Beware the Independants, some seem to sleep around a fair bit.
That man isn’t a farmer, he owns about 15 acres and lives in a trailer, most of his crop are broken vehicles like at a pick-a-part.

Lots of farmers manage to follow these regs. If you don’t want to benefit the health of others, sell your land and take a job doing something else. Please. Oh, by the way, around here, “illegals” are the ones who are harvesting food, milking dairy cows, building houses, rendering poultry… all those jobs other people don’t seem to be lining up for.

The first guy (a farmer) is a total hypocrite. I'm from a farm family in Iowa. This guy is so worried that illegals are going to come in here and get handouts, yet he get subsidized insurance if he has crop damage and every few years he drops $80,000 on a new truck. His comments are laughable.
Not only that, but he was able to survive as a farmer long before Trump came along and removed those pesky environmental regulations. Of course, under Republicans, Flint had children dying of lead poisoning. So thats what less regulations gets you.
Down here in Texas some of these farmers and ranchers own hundreds of acres of land. Some own thousands. Some own all the mineral rights and right of ways that allows oil companies to drill on their land. They take advantage of all the programs offered to them by the government. Some live in palacial homes, expensive trucks and equipment. They own a cabin up in the mountains of New Mexico or Colorado. And they whine and cry about taxes all the time. These people have been so opressed. It's unbelieveable.
