    I think HPT/Hikoki is the highest quality brand, full stop. Their obsession with weight on circular saws is next-level compared to everyone else.

    This has been a good saw for the last 2 yrs
    Plenty of power, features and got one of them for $99 a few times
    I do prefer the rear handle Metabo HPT which is my newest go to over our Milwaukee, DeWalt and previous favorites Makita 2x18 rear handle
    We have one of our sidewinders set up as a track saw with the Bora system

      Nice! I could see it being a good rail saw.

    Im in the market for a relatively small circular saw and your videos are really helping me. Thanks for making this channel and keeping this series alive and going! This saw is currently $159 with a free starter kit on Toolbarn so the value is excellent and I don't mind starting up with another battery system

    I was just cutting some wood with this saw. I like using it when I need to be quieter especially when you got kids taking their naps. I own the 6.5 saw as well. Thanks to Father’s Day, I get to try XGT…..I still love Hpt because they are dirt cheap.

    I have that 18 volt sidewinder Milwaukee the fuel. Talking about the newer one and I actually use a six and a half Metabo HPT saw more often than I do the seven and a quarter so much that I got rid of that Milwaukee. It's not about speed all the time. And so I was looking at the 7 and 1/4 and I ended up getting the rear handle the new one hardly even use that as well because I'm not doing framing all the time. So I have no need for a rafter hook. Most of time cutting panels or 2x4s but I'm cutting two by fours I'm using a miter saw. So really speed is not that important but ergonomics and just power just the ability to actually cut the wood. Which is why I like Metabo HPT is a sense of refinement is not the fastest but you're talking about seconds it's not like it's something terribly slow if you look at your chart it's at 4000 That's rated but the others were rated higher performed lower. Another thing you want to take a note is that this tool is old as heck this platform has been out for long period of time. They just do minor refinements to the to the model that's it. as this brand becomes more established again because they changed her name and are now being run more locally we should be expecting different tools compared to other markets. For example you can't get that rear handle in Japan but you can get it in the US. There's a couple things that I've noticed is that they're going to be focusing more on the 18 volt as they released this same saw as an 18 volt variant. They're not offering their 36 volt jigsaws in the US they made an18 volt which is less powerful. But honestly works perfectly fine I was quite surprised there's a lot of value to these tools and honestly I think that focusing too much on speed and power it's almost negligible now because literally my corded tools are being surpassed by my battery tools still

    • @4thewinak
      @4thewinak  2 года назад +2

      Unfortunately only multi volt (36v) batteries can be used on multivolt tools

      @@4thewinak thanks. At same price point, compare to xsh06 (tool only) on eBay, i think, better go to the xsh06 ? Thank you it help me so much..

    • @4thewinak
      @4thewinak  2 года назад +2

      @@tarikhazhar depends on your use case. You can pick up this metabo hpt saw right now with battery and charger for about $130 for the kit. Which is great deal. I would go with whatever batteries you have a lot of. Makita xsh06 takes 2x 18 v batteries and is the more powerful saw, but the metabo hpt is lighter and slower performance.

    I got the flex rear handle with the 10 amp stacked lithium. It's wicked strong 💪. I know the saw is not cheap so I understand

      Yeah the flex has compatible power to the DeWalt Flexvolt but it's a brick-we already have a heavy DeWalt on our Prazi beam saw but for everyday use we have ditched our Makita.and Milwaukee rear handles for the much lighter Metabo HPT rear handle

    Linda mas um pequeno detalhe, o corte é do lado esquerdo, pra mim já não dá, devido a coordenação. Também a visualização. Você tem que debruçar, não máquina. Pra ver o corte da. Máquina. Os fabricantes existem. Em fábrica, máquinas neste estilo. Corte do lado esquerdo. Muito ruim. Pra quem opera esse tipo de corte. Perfeito a máquina. Bateria acoplado na lateral da máquina. Ficaria muito interessado se o corte fosse do lado direito. 😢

    I think putting this saw in a rip speed test rather misses the point of it. It has a "torque mode" design to avoid stall outs. It cuts slower to push through reliably. Stalling out can ruin a precision cut. Not every race is on a circuit track. How about a dirt bike race? No clean, soft, dry wood for a tough material demolition challenge.
