- Jesus stands at the crossroads between the broad way that leads to destruction and the narrow path that leads to eternal life. In this study of John 5:25, Alistair Begg examines Jesus’ announcement of two critical, life-transforming hours: one in the present, when the spiritually dead are made alive in Christ, and another in the future, when Christ returns and the physically dead will be resurrected to either eternal life or eternal judgment. All who hear and believe Jesus’ words are invited to trust Him and be saved.

Needed this 😢 Jesus, hear my prayers these past three years have been difficult on me I am weak. Give me guidance. Please come back soon I don’t know how much longer I can hold on. As a single parent things are hard on me both of my sons are autistic and my hours to work are limited because I’m now homeschooling them. I’m constantly struggling to provide the basic necessities for them I’m so ashamed. I suffered an heart attack and I’m battling lupus I’m overwhelmed. Lord heal me. Father God hear my prayers. I constantly struggle to pay my bills and struggle to provide groceries. BUT I KEEP FAITH. Even though I want to give up. Jesus please take the fear from my heart. Father God it is you that gives me the strength to keep going. I praise you Father even as I fear homelessness please continue to give me strength.

It's hard to understand, & find the strength/courage to continue, when there seems to be no present help, or end in sight. However, our Fathers grace is all sufficient, & His love for you/ your family, is immeasurable! I don't know you, bit know that I love you too, & speeding as one who has past & present experience in your sufferings, I want to encourage you to keep your eyes on Jesus, not the wind & waves! Another scripture taken out of context. That word assembling means “gather”, and the word “Ourselves” comes from the word:
selves). Strong’s G846 Use: Heb Strong:
1) himself, herself, itself, themselves - so the scripture is saying to gather yourself together until the day comes that Jesus spoke about throughout the NT, specifically John 14:22-29, Hebrews 9:27-28. The Lord is back, been back, said He would never leave and forsake us. The gathering was unto Him.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”

Anyone not born again, will NEVER see Jesus. They will not hear from the Holy Spirit. They will be separated from the Father for eternity.
And people skip the scripture after which says:
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.”

You were only to tarry in the building to pray for one another but John 4 explains that the building and mountaintop worship was going away. God is a spirit.
Matter fact Jesus said, “But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.”

I just realized, this is why Jesus says hope my return is not while you’re pregnant - or on the sabbath; because you won’t be able to travel, or options will be limited, because it’s the sabbath, people will be distracted, or try to limit you with their rules… Keep your eyes fixed on JESUS! Not man, and their rules, but God and His rules!
