Could those announcers cheerlead for Notre Dame any louder? "They should bring the Buckeyes to the desert more often, then they'd have a winning team". What???
I think it was in reference to the Buckeyes winning 3 Fiesta bowls in 4 years on that field (2002, 2003, and 2005). Sadly ohio state is 1-4 in the fiesta bowl since this game with the only win coming against Notre Dame in the 2015 season
This Ohio State team was actually a better team than 2006 when you look at the roster. There only two loses were to the number 3 team in the country Penn State by seven points at Penn State and by 3 points at home to Texas who went on to win the national championship ( Ohio State should have won that game ). Take a look at the roster a future a Heisman trophy winner at quarterback in Smith three future first round draft picks at receiver in Ginn, Gonzalez, and Holmes not to mention they had 5 first round draft picks in the 06 draft in Hawk, Carpenter, Mangold, Whitner, and Holmes. Now thats a talented team!
Agreed much better than the ‘06 team, especially on defense. The ‘05 team was absolutely loaded. Biggest difference? The maturation of Troy Smith, his growth during ‘05 forged him into the Heisman the next year. A senior Troy Smith on the ‘05 team...who’s beating that? Can only imagine.
You are right. Osu took a lot of crap for getting clobbered by Florida but the 2005 team from the year before was a much better team. It didn't help that the Big10 in 2006 was absolutely terrible... other than ttun.
This was one of the better BCS wins for the Buckeyes..Notre Dame almost beat USC in 2005..The 2005 season Fiesta Bowl was "Midwest Championship." lol..Both came into the bowl games with a 9-2 record..Ohio State outlasted Notre Dame 34-20 ⁉🏈🏟🏜
If Troy Smith is starting from the first game, we beat Texas, beat USC and win the National Championship. People forget how dynamic this team was on both sides of the ball by the end of the year. Smith was playing better by the end of this year than he was during his Heisman year, Santonio Holmes was still on the team, AJ Hawk was the best linebacker in college football, I could go on and on…
Uhm the Notre dame corners don’t even press the receivers?! It was basically just backyard football for Ohio state lol that’s a atrocious defense for dame.
I’m just watching this for 7:45 cause Ohio fans are saying in last nights game Clemson’s player fumbled the ball. But at 7:45 he dropped it off 3-4 steps and notre dame scores and they say he didn’t have possession. Same play same result so hahahahaha fuck osu.
The only difference is that Gonzales bobbled the ball (musberger even mentions it) and never maintained possession, the clemson receiver had firm control of the ball and took 4 steps before fumbling it, until it was wrongly overturned by some inbred fuck sec officials
Oh, yeah, I forgot all about the obsession of the ABC/ESPN/Disney team broadcasting this bowl game with the whole Laura Hawk split loyalty thing. What a distraction. it didn't ruin watching the game, but it sure detracted from the enjoyment of continuing Notre Dame's bowl woes.
I’m having goosebumps and tearing up!
AJ HAWK! #47
Tedd Gin Jr #7
Troy Smith #10
Santonio Holmes #4
Anthony Gonzalez #11
Thank you!!
...and Brady Quinn has never had a kind thing to say about Ohio State since. Poor baby.

Ginn and Holmes were such a great duo
Who's watching this because of this years fiesta bowl
+Eric R I am
"Here we go. Get out the adding machine, we're underway!" LOL
Who’s here after Notre Dame lost to Alabama in the rose bowl?
Speed kills!!
Totally it does no doubt and that had lots of speed. Checkout my youtube channel BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my videos and sub to my channel thanks.

Ginn was so fast unbelievable
It’s 2 days before 2019 and Ted Ginn is still a burner playing on the number 1 team in the nfc...

❤. No doubt
5:34 for AJ Hawk sack
I was there drunk. Great hangover
Imagine if Troy Smith was in Urban Meyer's offensive system...
Then Troy Smith would have to use the zone read instead of passing down field. Talent wise, Dwayne Haskins has an NFL arm.
loved his play action. This one to Santonio and the one to Ginn in the 06 Michigan game were perfect.
Terrell Pryor would have been great under Meyer.
Troy was not accurate enough so Urban would run his legs off.
They did pretty well under Tressel. A landslide Heisman Trophy in an undefeated regular season was pretty damn good.
When Ted Ginn Jr was on one, he was something different!!!! WoW
So ND QBs sister was going to marry OSU LB? That's hilarious lol
EDIT: I just realized that the QB is Brady Quinn lmao
They got married still are crazy lmaoo
Ohio State’s team this year was the best College football team I have ever seen and I’ve seen a number of them. They didn’t win the Natty. Stunning.
Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia 3-0 in BCS this year.
And N.D. still can't figure out how to beat OSU
❤.
Brent MUSHburger ruins every game he announces.
7:07 that sound the crowd makes when Ginn shakes his tackler.
I think this is the game Troy Smith emerged.
Imagine Smith, Ginn and Holmes in today's college systems.
GO BUCKS !!! Checkout my youtube channel BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my videos and sub to my channel thanks.
at 7:57 he dropped the ball a foot before the end zone anyway
lol Brady Quinn is such a pole-smoker.
Ohio Against The World so is your mom!
Highlights the two things that were bad about the Weiss era no pass defense and no running game
And the desencion of the charlie Weiss era began
Damn Ted Ginn was a beast....
Wish this game was shown in 1080p
Uhm the Notre dame corners don’t even press the receivers?! It was basically just backyard football for Ohio state lol that’s a atrocious defense for dame.
I forgot that Santonio Holmes and Ted Ginn played at OSU at the same time, just too much speed
Marie Madison true that
Ambrose wooden had a rough game
2005 Ohio st was better the 06 team period
Great win 👏 Tress my favorite OSU coach EVER 😁
12 years ago Jesus
8:00 he clearly dropped the ball too early
I nice win but let's be honest certainly not an "Instant Classic".
GO BUCKS !!! checkout my youtube channel BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my vids and sub to my channel thanks.
8:10 Bullshit call.
They don't make the like that anymore #Ted Ginn
GO BUCKEYES !!! checkout my youtube channel BUCKEYE VINNIE, please watch my videos and sub to my channel thanks brother.
