- Опубликовано: 24 окт 2022
- I’ve been gone for a while, I am now in a busy year with school - I’ve got all my GCSEs to do in May - July time so I am having to put more time into school.
Anyway, I’ve got a new series idea for this game - Race to ____! Our first one is to Leighton Stepford Road from Stepford Central on the game’s 2 fastest operators! I put a lot of work in this so I do hope you’ll enjoy!

Thanks for all the support on this video! This is only my 2nd video to reach 1k+ views, and I’m really happy I made a video you all enjoy! 😁
06:30 how to get free cam?
@@HornbySaturday it is zooming out not free cam.
Airlink just blowing through the first segment
I do like the idea quite a lot, but it would be better with the schedule menu open for a better comparison imo
I would like to do that with all timelapses, and I do agree that it would be even better with this video/series (if it becomes one) in particular, however moving the schedule menu on mobile is finicky as all hell
@@YT_JoshSausage i see, makes sense
Good luck (I have participated in your training
great video!! good luck with mocks and future exams!
Thanks a bunch! ^-^
Excellent video, very interesting
Thanks! ^-^
The AL train seemed to have a top speed of 110, when you could have used the 802 making the race farier
I did use the 802 for this race, the Airlink speed limits are mostly slower overall
My eyes had a moment, I didn't see it
Don’t worry about it
Nice vidio :з
I think it would be more farer if the airline did not terminate because it will take longer
There’s (currently) no way for Airlink to not terminate at the Airport, which is why I chose the fastest routes for Airlink and tried slowing Express down by making it stop at SHB.
Express routes are usually faster while AL routes can be slower and AL has trains that go 90 so not surprised express won
Nice vid!
There are moments in this race in particular where Airlink is much faster than Express (especially around St Helens Bridge, so this is closer than you'd think!
The trains weren’t quite going to the same places at the same times, meaning that it wasn’t truly showing which is faster - it was just a race from stepford to Leighton while AL had to go through the airport area first.
@@Swiftors Technically, if the video was aimed on showing the fastest way you could reach LSR (doesn't matter if stopping there or not) express could have easily won with the Llyn super fast route, which doesn't have any stops before LSR.
I think a more fair way to measure it is if they would've raced to MGT, since there are routes on both express and airlink that start at SC and stop at MGT, so their routes would be roughly the same, with the only difference being the stops in between.
@@DARKNESS_DFL if they were to race to morganstown, I think it would be a tie with the aiport central (express) route and the llyn (super fast) route, since they both dont have any stops before morganstown
@@Swiftors I think express would win, since it has more 125 mph speed limit sections, while there are quite a lot of places on Airlink route, where it goes at 110 mph.
I think it would be fairer for SE to do R079 and R085, so that both services have to change service, as that eats into time.
That sounds like a smart idea on paper, however that doesn’t work since R079 goes into Platforms 8 and 9 I believe and R085 uses platform 2 at Benton, meaning you can’t switch between the routes.
Justice for Airlink 👇
Alt title: class 801 vs 802
Yeah pretty much
@@YT_JoshSausage they basically the same so we could just call it express vs airlink
Ok good I can buy 801
Unfair Race, AirLink has to turn around at AC, making Express win everytime.
Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about this, however to make this fairer I used a slower Express route and made the Airlink route as fast as it could be.
Races on this game especially will never be 100% fair and that’s the cruel truth
@@YT_JoshSausage cant you just start at AC?
I’d pick Airlink because you stop at stations more and its more enjoyable
It all really depends on the route you choose, since express can have up to 9 stops per route, and AL can have around 3 stops. As per routes being enjoyable or not, it really varies with each person, with some preferring express and some preferring airlink. Personally, I like both operators and drive them depending on my mood.
AT TRAINS AT SPADDED AT ROCKET PARADE
i was dont know do was that airlink was the HST but its 801 and 802
Do you mean "I had no idea AirLink was an HST, but it's 801 and 802?"
I’ve been trying to figure this comment out for the past month, that sounds roughly right
I don’t get ur comment
Out of all the Express trains, you pick (in my opinion) the worst one. I have a massive hatred for the 801. And to see that beat me favourite operator (AL) makes me rather angry. But…
I chose the 801 for 2 reasons
1: It makes the race fairer against Airlink, both the 801 and 802 are the same length, both have 5 coaches and both can do 125mph
2: It just makes the race in the cabs of the trains look nicer than 2 completely different cabs
@@YT_JoshSausage True, but even still I hate the 801 but adore the 802 because I think it just looks better in the livery suits it better than the express one. I respect your opinion fully though. 😃😃
How does the 802 look better than the 801 they are litterally the same train but ok
@@michaelkeeley8594 Because you have to think about how well the livery fits the train genius. The 801 in Express livery looks dreadful. The could at least do what Airlink and GWR have done, put a yellow front on it and add a bit more colour to make it more interesting to look at.
I will choose the class 220 on express and airlink class 387
R.I.P airlink
Didn't make it to the first place
I mean a 3 minute difference between the routes isn’t that bad, especially now that it has to stop at Parkway on the way to Leighton
THE EXPRESS WINS!!!!
It Train at rocket parade 😂 it arlink 😂
3:34 express:BENTON BRIDGE!!!!!!!Airlink:Airport Street Parkway But No Parking Lot
wdym Airport Street Parkway that’s Cambridge Street Parkway for Waterline also Airport Parkway does have a parking lot
I didnt know people respected the speed limits…
For races like these it’s a necessity to follow speed limits!
didn't watch the video yet, but I guess Express is gonna win because it's the fastest operator, am I right? reply!
You are exactly correct! Great guess!
How and why are so late?
i ran the routes 5 minutes late for the quicker 20 second stops, it's similar to what we do with All The Stations
@@YT_JoshSausage Then race is way less fair, isn't it?
@@jhotagames4703 well it is more fair as the trains wont have to wait to be on time as you always get the fastest door closure when late
Fun Fact:Airlink has Less Station then Express
Oh I thought Express has slightly less. Today I Learnt!
Use obs
I prefer what I’m currently using, however I’ll use it when I transition to pc in the far future
I want to win 3xpress train
Well I certainly have good news for you! Express did indeed win this race!
Express 801 😍
Yeah it’s a very nice train
@@YT_JoshSausage i prefer Class 221 lol
@@flaviopaquete800 the 220 and 221 are far superior, in my eyes
I have a HST preference
Stepford express wins! And airlink lost!
The race is unfair
Might I ask how so?
@@YT_JoshSausage Well. Its clear. Airlink route is longer, and it needed to change of cabin and that takes an extra time. Express was direct to LSR, no cabin change needed. Speed limits were diferent. They were diferent routes. Stops at Express were shorter.
I tried to make this as fair as possible and there is no way to make the route lengths, speed limits and other similar things exactly the same.
The reason I chose both 801 and 802 is for both trains to be the same length.
The reason I ran the routes 5 minutes late is to make sure stops on both routes is the quickest is as it can be.
I do understand where your coming from, however for a (future) series like this there is no where to make it perfectly fair.
Express and Airlink
