I’ve noticed a difference ever since I stopped cleansing in the morning!!! Sooo glad you taught me this trick. I used to feel a need to cleanse every time I passed by the sink LOL and so glad I learned I can just splash my face with water and don’t have to use a cleanser every time my skin is not so sensitive now

My favourite cleanser, meaning the only one I can use without my face feeling stripped, is the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo Cleanser (Canada). I also have hard water though so that plays a factor in why most cleansers don't work.

  • @lorainemcgillivray77

Hi Sarah my absolute favourite for a morning cleanse is the Avene antirougours refreshing cleanser. It's a cleansing milk/lotion and not a gel or foaming cleanser, which truthfully is my preference although quite difficult to find. They say it doesn't need rinsed (like a misceller water), but I do rinse it off gently as i don't like leaving any cleanser residue on my ultra sensitive skin. I like a couple of those mentioned, but the Avene is a firm favourite. Best wishes.
ps I can even use it during a rosacea flare, which is unusual as most cleansers i can't. this and the bioderma sensibio are my picks when my skin is freaking out. For another option using an aqueous cream will take off makeup etc when skin is freaking out - without using surfactants etc. x

Per advice from another one of your viewers, I started using the Aveeno for my *super* sensitized post swim face wash, so helpful! I had been trying a bunch of different washes and it's amazing how many can really burn! I really enjoy the scent, it does feel calming, the cleansing action is fine and the pump is a big plus for me. Not my favorite generally though. Using it solely to wash off mascara took a solid double cleansing routine with it when I forgot my cleansing balm on an overnight trip. But I'm always looking to try new things. Appreciate this list!
Also you're totally right on the money about the Hada Labo cleansing oil! I used it before my trip and left it behind because I was worried about it traveling in bags, I used good molecules cleansing balm instead, which is fine. But I was so happy to get home and dig into my variety of stuff and it was SO nice getting to use Hada Labo again! Another great rec from you

Vanicream cleansing bar has done amazing things for my rosacea. It's very gentle but good for people who are extra sensitive to the demodex mite colonies. It's really good at minimizing that without stripping your skin. When I spoke to vanicream about it, they recommended using their gentle body wash and not the facial wash if that's why you're using the bar but you cannot find the bar.

Yay! I love sensitive skin topics 😊 Have you ever tried the heimish all green clean foam gel cleanser? The name is a little confusing, but I forgive it because I love it so much.
It doesn't actually foam much, it's a lovely very gentle low pH low cost Korean gel cleanser. It doesn't irritate my super sensitive skin and it has a very luxurious texture. I use it after an oil cleanser or bioderma sensibio micellar water at night, and it's gentle enough to also use in the morning. I also really like the krave beauty cleanser, but the heimish has taken the top spot for me based on the lovely texture. And it works well for sunscreen removal but isn't stripping and my skin still feels clean.
I'll have to try the geek and gorgeous cleanser next! It sounds wonderful too.

Hi friends, what is the thickest, most moisturizing, cream-like Cleanser?
I'm trying to help my super super dry, super sensitive, friend find a cleanser that will leave her skin feeling moisturized.

I would personally recommend Laroche Posay Toleriane cleanser. Super gentle.

It does sound weird though right? Lol. Onion extract is one of the powerhouse ingredients in Derma-e's anti scar formula. Been on the market for decades and I've never noticed an onion scent. In this one fragrance might be the masking type? I'm interested to find more things made with it. Active ingredient junkie right here. ➡️😆⬅️
