I like that pattern look like it's very easy to do thank you for sharing your crazy pattern it looks very easy maybe I'll try it one day maybe my name is Anita thank you for sharing have a blessed day
Just make the pattern longer then it would cover the scars on your legs. But those scars are telling the journey of your life don't be ashamed of them. X
Thanks for this great idea. Your tutorial is easy to understand. I would suggest that base piece be marked with the pattern, but cut larger by a couple inches on each side. Especially if you are using large pattern pieces, such as the charming skirt you showed. I have been told by experienced quilters, that sometimes this technique ends up with some loss of size. If that happens, the extra base fabric allows you to add the necessary pieces to cut the garment the correct size.
A cotton/poly mix in this case, but I would normally use a cotton muslin. You want something light weight, durable and breathable, so cotton is my go to
Thank You! I want to make a full length crazy patch skirt. Do you think an A line skirt or a gathered pioneer style with regular patch work would look best?
There isn't any pre cutting or planning with crazy quilting, it's basically just piecing random pieces of fabric together to make a new fabric, the triangles are made when two patches cover up the edges of a another patch
I love patchwork dress, and I do collect some of it. But it should be done sistimatically. Meaning you need to workout a nice matching between one piece to another piece. Stagging one with another is just make it looks like a beggar dress NOT a charming work of art. Sorry, but that what I see it 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
@ignatiajessica1926 does have a point. Just grabbing pieces of fabric and sewing them together is definitely not charming artwork. Also, the video is too fast to really get anything out of it.
So so good thank you. Hope you're doing well out there!!
This is AMAZING
Thank you for making this❤
Adorable! I love the ‘do what you want’ inspiration.
That was an excellent demo on crazy quilting for fabric pieces! Bravo!
Thank you for sharing Nimway Thomas

So beautiful! I am obsessed with sewing. I love making my imagination into reality. Fashion is my passion. 🌷
I have a wild imagination of crazy quilt skirt but not sure how to do it. This video helps me understand how to make it real. Gonna try. Thanks 😊
Awesome Video- Thanks - Calif-
I wish the pattern was longer. I have scars on my left leg from 4 surgeries and need to cover them up. I love the skirt you made.
I'm sorry to hear about your surgeries, I hope you are well.
You could certainly make a longer skirt. That would be beautiful!

What type of fabric is that you attached the patches too ?

Gracias,. Bello ,bello !!!!!
Muy Lindo !!😉
I love the video but how in the world did you add a belt to it? I’m new to making stuff but eventually I want to make a dress just like this…
She hand sewed it on. The denim is too thick for the machine.
Thank You! I want to make a full length crazy patch skirt. Do you think an A line skirt or a gathered pioneer style with regular patch work would look best?
I think an A-line would look best, i think a gathered pioneer would be too bulky, although I never tried one before so I don't know.
@@nimwaythomas687 the A-Line sure would show of the crazy patch to advantage! Thanks for replying!
Some information on how you attached the waistband would have been helpful, even playing back at the slowest speed, its not clear.
It is really cute
How do you cut the triangle on the skirt? I want to use at least 6 cotton fabrics.
There isn't any pre cutting or planning with crazy quilting, it's basically just piecing random pieces of fabric together to make a new fabric, the triangles are made when two patches cover up the edges of a another patch
i love it new subscriber here
Thanks for subbing!
