Thanks a lot for sharing your experience.
Two remarks and one question. I am also an owner of a Toyota LC150 Prado (2022) in Europe, and have driven about 20.000km with it.
    - When the automatic DPF regeneration process starts, then a warning pops up on the display and remains in the foreground, unless you press the arrow button to exit it. And I didn't ask my Toyota dealer for any customized mode. It has been working this way since I bought it, so it looks like it is the default behavior and it is also described the same way in the user manual;
    - You CAN see the current DPF status at any moment by scrolling down the display until you reach the DPF view, independently of the fact if the regeneration is running or not.
Question: do you know why my Prado could have increased the regeneration frequency? Instead of each 250-300km, as it did until a few weeks ago, it triggers it nearly every 50km now and the process needs at least 30min until the end. I try to avoid short distance driving. Maybe I had just a few city drivings in the last 3 months, but for the last month I have been using it on roads and highways. Despite this the DPF regeneration starts too often in my opinion. If you or anyone may know the reason and how to fix it, I am very thankful for the feedback. I am going to ask the dealer anyway, because the car has just had its 2nd maintenance last week.

My 2021 Prado, stock, displays when DPF burn is in process. When I press the DPF button, it normally says Manual DPF not available. You can also scroll into the menu setting that displays your fuel consumption, and at the very last menu page it shows where the DPF is in terms of its capacity.

I think Toyota should adopt the same type of notifications tha Isuzus use. A bar graph showing how full the dpf is and a message that tells you it is regenerating. Simple.

It does on the new ones (my 21 lux does it), it shows the graph while burning, if you want to see the % full when its not burning you need a scan tool.

2023 prado has DPF pop up when it starts regen, and you can manually scroll to that menu too, normally regen starts when it hits 4 bars out of 10, regen occurs roughly every 250-300kms.
sometimes it takes 5mins to drop from 4bars to 1bar, few times it taken 7mins for full regen on highway and few times 15min, and couple times 30mins when i had it parked, so its quicker when on highway or driving at higher RPMS

2021 model has a DPF menu page you can scroll through and find it. When the burn starts it defaults to that screen showing the burn progress. I see it normally kicks in about every 300 km.

All good info. Can definetly verify that from a recent 900klm 10 hr drive from Mackay to Caloundra.
Have the OBD 2 Bluetooth hooked up via CarScanner App.
Jan 2016 compliance vehicle. Has had the DPF warranty work done Aug last year. Big improvement btw.
Car was only turned off for 15 mins at my only stop on this run.
Have the scanner showing DPF % level. Coolant temp, Trans Temp, Gear position & Converter Lock-up. A few other things as well, not relevant here.
2 x burns completed during the run, & a 3rd one started very shortly after next day. So, every 320 klms or so in this open road scenario.
Of note, every burn added between 7 & 10 degrees to Trans temp.... I assume heat from the DPF burn was being picked up out of the air at the reasonably close transmission. Be interesting to see what the difference is in city traffic, low airflow situation. Much worse I assume.
Further, in earlier town driving, 16 klms each way to & from work. DPF increases by 4% per trip. So, 8% per day, for me. Burns off around town "ok". Stops & restarts multiple times if exhaust coolsfor too long at lights etc.
Anyways, 900klm trip home tomorrow, may have more info. Was a late afternoon/night run down, so 27deg down to 9deg outside air temps. Will be a daytime trip home. Guessing 15 deg to 27 deg. Probs lots of caravans to deal with also....
Enjoy your info Anthony, much appreciated. Hope mine helps also.
    Cheers 😊

Hi, @errolpleash7313 , thank you - one question: does the CarScanner App (with the ELM 327?) tell you the soot level on a Land Cruiser? Can anybody tell me which OBD2 device will tell me that on a Land Cruiser or let me force a regen? I hear Land Cruisers don't like to tell their info to any OBD2 device... Thank you!!

And it turns on again when you start your vehicle and reaches the right temp. Thanks for the info. I had to finish some burns before, but now If i need to stop. It is safe to do so.

Safe - yes, but Toyota obviously doesn't recommend it, because at each new start you will have to continue the regeneration process where it stopped the last time. Additionally the engine must first warm up before continuing the process, so it is a quite tiring process... I didn't know about it before buying my Prado in 2022, as all my previous cars were without DPF. This concept is really annoying.
