Big surprise, Mangini thought Mitch is worthy of a first round pick
Eric Mangini liked a bad trade deal? Shocking.

The surprise is that he didn’t like it
Not looking that bad after a 12-4 record. XD
@@letourneauvt9566 Your comment did not age well. Trubisky is a bum
Hahahaha
Why Eric Mangini can't find a job in the NFL...
McGrady Productions we tried and he was an awfup defensive coordinator. He literally did not know about nickel defense until the end of the year. We were covering slot receivers with outside linebackers
Because he isn't a mediocre offensive positional coach seemingly.
He a snitch!
Eric Mangini, a head coach with a losing record and only 2 winning seasons (barely), agrees with the bears move.....lets you know how bad that move was
Completely agree
lol exactly
HE IS ALWAYS WRONG . He got lucky being around Belichek.
August_Very_Own
You have a great point. Anytime we talk about mangini and how "great" he is it was always because of his time with the patriots. Outside of that organization he's been abysmal.
Him being fine with this bears deal just proves how horrid it is. Bears fans knows this to be true.
So you trust the other people on the panel that have never even coached high school football more than a guy that coached nfl team
That's why That Eric dude never got another Coaching job...
Everyone was right except the former GM💀💀💀
Eric is plain wrong. Browns didn't want Mitch simple as that.
wolfxv3 it blows me that he is actually trying to argue his point there's no way he believes that
wolfxv3 Nice argument. HE'S WRONG. DOESN'T FIT THE NARRATIVE.
Did you talk to sashi brown or something. Again your team passed up on wentz passed up on trubisky just to probably trade the whole damm farm for garropolo mccaron or cousins.
Exactly! If they wanted Trubisky they would've traded up because they definitely have the assets
Lol Cleveland went and drafted that immature egotistical Kizer! They wanted a QB in the draft and they have expressed more interest in Trubisky. Come on its obvious they wanted Trubisky, 9ers just decided to do business with the Bears because they only had to move from 2nd to 3rd in the first round and thats it!
Was it a mistake? After the start of his 3rd year against the Packers? Yep...
The season has made him look worse. The Bears could be leaking info on his work ethic or lack of learning the offense
Here after Mahomes wins the Super Bowl 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So what. What if Mahomes went to Cleveland. Are you going to be talking about SB Browns
Jason McIntyre finally talking some sense
I want whatever drugs the Bears front office is on
*edit* Did WHitlock finally get fired? ;D
mee too
and I mean the extra E on me
Mr Speed just curious what you think about it now. I thought it was crazy too lol
A 4 game win streak
🐻👇🏾 12-4
2019 this guy is a bumm just as I predicted, we passed on Deshaun Watson who put up great numbers at Clemson on nfl style defense when facing Alabama twice, and passed on Mahomeboy for a 9 game starter who's the screen king in the nfl. Ijs Cade McNown, Rex Grossman, Jay Cutler we don't make good decisions when it comes to quarterbacks.
Drafting a QB who had only played 13 games in college is just risky. Regardless of how good they are, there's just not that much film yet, not enough sample to judge them. Pat Mahomes was Texas Tech's QB1 for two years and had played games before getting the starting job. So was Deshaun Watson at Clemson.
Alot of people dont want to ADMIT they are WRONG. Could've had Patrick Mahomes and Deshawn Watson...KMSL
One year later, the Bears look GREAT for getting Trubisky. Bear fans would have HATED Darnold and Rosen; we could have gotten behind Mayfield, and we would have looked sideways at Allen. But we LOVE Trubisky like a son. A lot of people like Watson, but the bears #1 problem was accuracy, and Watson is not nearly the accurate thrower Mitch is.
😂😂😂 this aged so poorly
Most of the hype on Trubisky was caused by a Cleveland sportswriter . The Chicago team bought into the hype. Pat Mahomet was the favorite QB and Kansas City jumped in front of the Browns to draft him. Then the team used their plan b and drafted Kizer after picking up a first round draft pick for next year .
Teams were so dumb not taking Watson, he was a proven winner on the biggest stage against the best team that a college player could play against. He had a great arm, no off the field issues, smart guy. Mahomes turned out good too but I can understand not picking him because that was under the radar at the time. But taking Trubisky over Watson was indefensible
"no off field issues"

well we ended up with the biggest bust in the draft
@@noahfernandesp2917 both the bears and niners did lol
Most overblown story of the draft.
You know who would be okay with the Bears' move? How about:
The Chargers trading a 2, future 1 and two players for Ryan Leaf
The Giants trading a 3, future 1 and future 5 for Eli
The Redskins trading a 2, 5, two future 1s and a future 3 for RG3
The Rams trading two 2s, a 3, future 1 and 3 for Goff
The Bears gave up a 3, 4, and future 3. Even if no one else was talking to Lynch, they paid an inexpensive price to avoid the risk of losing their guy.
Cameron Stewart except it isn't when you have a bad roster full of holes
@@fucker661 Bears looking pretty good for the next 4-5 years if you ask me. Not sure what holes you thought you saw but the team is pretty deep now top to bottom
The only holes they have are in the secondary. They had a ton of nice young players but no superstar. Now they have one in Mack and Trubisky is going to be one on offense. You’ll be eating your words for saying they had holes
Chiefs gave up TWO first round picks for a QB who wouldn't even start in the CFL, and somehow the team that drafted Jordan Howard, Leonard Floyd, and Cody WhiteHair in the same draft are idiots for giving up middle round picks for the only NFL worthy QB in the draft??????
How's that prediction looking now? 😂👍
I'm a Bears fan and what I have seen so far is that Trubisky will not be in the NFL in four years. Bad move by Pace.

Funny, Pace looks like a genius now and Lynch is being questioned. LOL Kudos to Chris Carter for his unbiased view.
Genius? Pace went through all that drama to draft the worst QB in that first round's draft lol

I screamed at the tv when we picked him. are defense is dead last for 4 years but we get another quarterback
and without a defense doesn't matter what your QB does. Defense wins championships btw. even record offenses fall to elite defenses
100% true look at what the broncos did when they won the chip peyton manning played the most average game i ever saw and the defense picked up the slack
Young Kawhi lets not forgot the 2013 Seahawks, 2000 ravens
Jerome Marshall that 2013 seahawks defense traumatized me lol. Im a broncos fan
Our defense was top 15 last year relax bud.
lol. He just slams his point home when he ends on Revis.
Eric makes a good point... until you realize he's talking about Trubisky. Its good to go grab a franchise QB. its bad to go grab a 3rd stringer.
Mitch now has BUSTED.
Love this. Looking back I think its funny that the guy who CONSTANTLY bashes Mahomes defends Trubisky.
This video didn’t age well 🐻⬇️
It actually did lmao
This wasn't a calculated risk. Its calculated stupidity.
4:30 We can say it.
The guy was right about it being a disaster. We lost first round with one of the best defenses I've ever seen. 49ers were 2 yard overthrow away from winning a super bowl. God I hate being a fan of this team I just can't.
It's a shame the bears can't seem to find a quarter back
Chris Carter " disaster " is the perfect word to use for Trubisky pick
If the God forsaken Browns traded up from #12 to #2 to take Mitch, everyone would've given them a standing ovation, because Mitch Trubisky is an accurate passer who's also pretty mobile. He also had 5 TDs for every interception in his final college season. If Mitch had another year of experience, he'd be the consensus #1 overall pick, and every QB needy team would be itching to get him. If, say, the Jets or the Chiefs were able to draft him, everyone would automatically conclude that he's a future Hall of Famer. So, why did Ryan Pace trade up? So Mitch could be successful with the Bears, who are going to have a ton of offensive weapons to work with in the next two seasons. Why does everyone hate him for it? Because they don't understand his draft methodology. Like it or not, Pace's draft strategy looks for long term, franchise solutions to positions. But, people are just too short sighted and view the draft process from the standpoint of "get more wins now". People forget that the majority of the games the Bears lost last season were by a TD or less, and more points could've been scored if not for all the injured players. Once this team is healthy, has a solid offense and defense, and most importantly, a developed Trubisky, people are going to see how wrong they were about the Chicago Bears.
Amen brother
Lmao you’re so right. All these people bashing him in the media and in comment sections will be telling everyone how they “knew all along that Trubisky would be a star” a year from now as well LMAO. Happens all the time
This was as cold as the freezing tundra
LOL " No hope in Chicago" How dumb do those words look now?
Pretty accurate words tbh
Pure stupidity. Not saying that Trubisky won't be any good, but the odds are highly stacked against him. It's next to impossible to predict the transition of college QB's. Much less backup QB's with only 13 starts. I predict that someone will get fired over this before it's over.
Just the coach. ;)

@@HighOnSportsNetwork looks like the Bears lost that trade pretty horribly. Should have taken Watson.
Only the old coach was right!!
Welp you both were wrong
I always thought that the dolphins were the most stupid front office but this guys got the record now 😂😂😄
Mangini was right, they got the wrong QB but had the right approach
It's painfully obvious who out of these guys was the tenured, experienced, NFL HC and exec....
I don't see what the big deal is really. They only really gave up a 3rd next year to get him, because they traded back in later rounds. No matter what draft value chart you look at it's about equal in value to both teams. You want to talk about teams who got fleeced? Houston? Kansas City? They gave up way more for lesser QBs (Watson and Mahomes.)
Remember this guy only started 13 games and won 8 and went 2 overall 🤣🤣🤣
This is why Colin Coward is the best. He knows what he is talking about and he knew the Bears draft pick was bad at the time!

Looking at this now, I am laughing. Trubisky looks to be a stud, while Thomas looks to be a bust, and none of those players have panned out.
How are you looking at it now??
It was a master move by Pace. The Bears had several teams contact them to move up Those teams would ONLY do that for a franchise QB especially in a year with deep talent. The Bears gave up LESS than any team to move up and get the first QB in a draft, It doesn't matter how many spots you move up if you get the guy you want and Mitch, was their guy. will he be great? Time will tell but 2 AFC scouts have said he has the BEST attributes of any QB in the last 6 years.
jeff rosenstein it was bad still
Oh Jeff
HAHAHAHAHAHA! Looked like an amazing deal, let's check out rookie seasons from the bears and 9'ers again! hahahahahaha
2023 and it's still a disaster.
worst pick of the last 10 years. Traded up for a bust. Nothing to like about this player. Traded up for a guy who couldn't beat out a guy in College who couldn't even stick on an NFL roster. Weak QB draft and you trade up for a guy who will set franchise back 5 years? Bears will be drafting a QB again next year
Are these guys going to admit they were wrong if Trubisky continues to excell?
Cleveland should just roll with Oswieler, the Bears taking Trubisky saved the Browns, they traded down, Houston won by getting their franchise guy in Watson, and Cleveland got Peppers and Njoku, tow very good players.
Yep, two years later it was a mistake.
NEVER DEBATE WITH AN IDIOT HE'LL JUST DRAG YOU DOWN TO HIS LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.
Trubisky is not our guy, he will fit better for Chicago. I just feel sorry for Trubisky, because he may be a great QB, but he has to now be in Jay Cutler's shadow. No matter how good Trubisky is, he is not Jay Cutler.
Oh, it totally worked out... he's so much better than Watson and Mahomes, hahahahahahaha
Mangini:People missed on Dak Prescott
Mangini: We have to wait 2-3 years
I remember when Giants fans complained about how much the Giants had to give up in order to trade with the Chargers to get Eli Manning. It included two 1st's, a 3rd and a 5th, which turned into Phil Rivers. Shawn Merriman, Nate Kaeding and essentially Roman Oben. The Giants won two Superbowls to the Chargers zero. No one is complaining now, except the Eagles.
Well Bears drafted a Bortles 2.0 so there will be lots of complaining
Jason Mcintyre, Glennon may be our quarterback long term, if not, maybe he fills the gap until Trubisky becomes our long term solution for quarterback. I don't think the Bears are necessarily trying to compete with the Black and Blue division for the next two years. Over the next 2-3 years, we build the line, establish our running game, and build the defense. When either Glennon or Trubisky rises to the top, we'll be ready, three years tops. See, I just speculated like Mcintyre, Cowerd, Carter, and Mangini.....for free.Oh and Jason, records are records. Let's not mention the Bears had the 3rd most injuries last year. Yes the Packers were up there too and look how far they made it BUT, the uninjured Bears are NOT the uninjured Packers. But yes, John Fox is NO Mike McCarthy.
It's not drafting Trubisky in the first round is the problem, it is HOW they got him is the problem.
Do any of you people realize what Fox and Pace had coming in
(worst Bear defense EVER)
(Terrible offenses and quarterback play since my man Jim Miller left)
BE VERY CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK FOR BEAR FANS!!

Eric Mangini- isn't this the guy who failed as a coach of the Browns and now he's trying to subtly critique the Browns. Yes. In theory "you go up and get your guy".... but the reality is that Trubisky is not "that guy" for anyone.... sure, sure, they "have a QB problem" ... doesn't mean Trubisky is their solution- or should be, their scouts might be poor at truly assessing talent. Mangini just seems mad nobody lets him have an actual football operations based position with a real team because he makes bad choices
If Glennon works out, trade Trubisky. If Glennon doesn't, then you can have Trub as a backup plan.
I love looking back at these "analysts". Goes to show how little those sports writers know. Great pick
I don’t think it was too great of a pick tbh
The quarterback is important, but that doesn't mean you have to overpay for it
The San Francisco 49ers could've drafted Patrick Mahomes but they passed.
I think he will be a good QB for the Bears, but it was a bad pick. Then again, I think it's gotten to point where picks are being overvalued.
His skill set is worth it? You need a big armed dude to play in Chicago. He doesn't have one. Only 13 starts? The number one predictor of success in the nfl is the number of starts in college.
Garrett, RFoster, are already hurt I haven't heard anything out of Solomon Thomas...it just goes to show how much these "experts" don't know who is a "disaster" or who is legit....in Pace we trust...
I agree but people who said Thomas and Mitch were bad picks were right
