"Storm the Castle" - Pendennis Castle visits the East Lancs Railway

    Great Western Railway 4-6-0 4079 “Pendennis Castle” is captured during its visit to the East Lancashire Railway in April 2024, courtesy of the Great Western Society / Didcot Railway Centre, as part of her 100th anniversary celebrations.
    The centurion, rose to fame in 1925 appearing at the British Empire Exhibition in 1925, alongside the LNERs 4472 Flying Scotsman. The locomotive was initially preserved in the UK beforein the 1970s moving to Australia (were in the late 1980s it was again reunited with Flying Scotsman). Following repatriation in the year 2000, the locomotive returned to steam in 2021 at Didcot.
    Please note, there is no public lineside access on the East Lancs, lineside shots are taken as a Working Member with Accredited Photographer status.

    It's like an end of steam video from the 60's where the loco's suffered from lack of maintenance, how many steam leaks has it got?
