The light wash over the zenithal highlighting makes me wonder how easily it would be to highlight all the edges with a black and get the aforementioned "Borderlands" cell shading look.
Fantastic. The Pinkerton's logo on flag is a neat touch. I hope that the miners know that the Pinkertons are probably there to spread dissent among the workers as usual. The combination of Wild West and Sci-Fi is really cool.
The tank contains a highly corrosive acid. The pipes go down to each level of the mines where there is a spigot, attached to which is what Is essentially an acid fire extinguisher used for killing the giant spiders that occasionally find their way into the mines from connected cave systems.
I usually wash the plastic model part s in Dawn Ultra dish detergent. Really cleans the slippery mold release from the parts leaving them squeaky clean. Also helps the paint adhere better. Love your builds!
thank you for making videos i know you will most likely not see it but your videos are very calming and ure officially my new youtube safespace that i recommend everyone
Pinkerton Detective Agency is now part of the Securitas AB corporate banner and still operates internationally- just as an aside. Build looks amazing as always!
I love old abandoned stuff from the 1800s. It is very interesting. I used to live in Arizona where there are a lot if mines. Thanks for the good video! Have a nice day.
Amazing as always. Almost every one of your builds makes me think of how much fun I would have lighting and filming your dios. They are always very well composed.
The tank is for gold leaching. I often sit back in my chair and watch you build. Shame about Kinda eggs, we have them but they tend not to have kits any more.
This is freaking outstanding!!! I was getting big thunder mountain railroad vibes the whole time while I was watching this! The paint application is simply bonkers. Watching you paint dioramas in this scale is a master class. The color of the rockwork and rusted old metal are so convincing. And let's just stick with mining liquid!
I work at a museum in what used to be a mining town. We have a drum of what used to be sodium cyanide in one of the exhibits, since it could be used to dissolve precious metals. The idea was that the waste material could be dumped, and the dissolved metals could be extracted from the liquid later, using a separate process. So maybe that's what your vat of "mining liquid" is in this diorama.
I'm from Europe, and trust me... Kinder Surprise is a plague of death and devastation. You're so lucky. Amazing channel (I didn't know). When I saw the miniature on recommendation I through in Borderlands games, so when you have mentioned it, I've just feel like a exciting teen fan. Also, incredible work!
In 1926 my grandmother came in from the country to work in the area’s first gas station to see a new type of iron work being used to repair the nearby bridge. At the same time a lot of ice houses were being torn down along the river and so every night grandpa Frank and she brought home whatever the empty milk cart could carry of the detritus. That’s how stuff was built, half of this becomes that, miners having already rusty equipment along with old wood is accurate in spirit. Very cool.
When you mentioned Pinkertons it brought back some memories. I use to work for a international computer company and one of our contracts was Pinkertons. Thanks for the diorama. I love the back story.
Heeeeyyy another fellow Coloradan I’ve lived here my whole life and I can say it feels great to know someone else out there has a connection to those mines and loves the historical feel and look to them. I love your work man keep it up maybe we’ll run into each other one day lol
Hey Boylei, I love your builds. I just wanted to point out that the Pinkertons actually still exist and have been somewhat recently hired by the company Blizzard to retrieve a box of magic cards that a card opening youtuber or twitch streamer got ahold of about a month before that set of cards were to be released which was Blizzards fault for sending it to him to begin with. It was a bizzar story but funny.
Fun fact: the banning of Kinder Surprise eggs stems from an old law from the FDA around what constitutes food and what doesn’t, back when fake milk was being sold and kids were dying from that. The law affects the Kinder Surprise eggs because the toys are encased inside the chocolate…… Edit: nice build! It really was from scratch!
Mostly. The Pure Food and Drug Act of 1906 (the act under which Kinder Eggs are banned in the US) is generally seen as the founding of the FDA. So the law caused the FDA rather than the FDA causing the law. I consider the banning of Kinder Eggs to be an overreaction, but the act itself makes sense if you see what was being done 115 years ago. (Sawdust to bulk out foods was the least of the problems.)
When I first subscribed it was for your Star Wars themed builds.. But now I find myself with post notifications on and watching every video you upload almost as soon as it's released! Keep up the awesome work!
Man way cool. I do love old mining places. Very awesome. Got to visit the old gold mines down in Creede Colorado and it's really something to see these things that people made over a hundred years ago. Was kinda calming to me looking at the left over buildings, rails, cable systems etc. Man I'm so glad the evil kinder egg things are outlawed here in the USA I will definitely be sleeping better tonight, thanks!
The tank at 5:10 could be for water. Steam power was a thing and many mines used steam engines for pumping water out of flooded sections of the mine and they could also use it to power stuff as well.
This would probably be really difficult but would be cool as hell too see. Palpatine and Windu when Windu is deflecting the lighting back at Palpatine in revenge of the Sith.
The tank is for mercury. It is often used in gold mining. The light houses in California used to use mercury in bearings but it was always being stolen and used for gold extraction.
Thanks again for another great build. My son wants to be a filmmaker and your creativity reminds me of his, in that your dioramas tell a story. You are right about the Pinkertons. They often represented the robber barons and corporate interests during the 19th century. This usually included busting up unions and any attempt to organize workers, including miners, by any means necessary. Keep up the good work!
Wow I cant believe I've been watching all your wild imaginary west videos for over 2 YEARS! Now that's crazy
So this is how the wild imaginary west was born! What a wonderful series, Im so glad you started it!!!
yep
The light wash over the zenithal highlighting makes me wonder how easily it would be to highlight all the edges with a black and get the aforementioned "Borderlands" cell shading look.
Hi
literally found this channel as a recommended on the side of one of your videos, while waiting for one of your newest ones. big fan.
Fantastic. The Pinkerton's logo on flag is a neat touch. I hope that the miners know that the Pinkertons are probably there to spread dissent among the workers as usual.
The combination of Wild West and Sci-Fi is really cool.
More of this please.
And I think Cali gold miners get a sunburn during their work, alaskan gold miners frost burn.
LOL that's funny except that you can't placer mine in the winter! Ground frozen, water frozen, mule frozen, miner frozen. 😁
@@CraigH999 Wild Subnautica Sub Zero West
No it's that Californian miners surf in their free time, but Alaskan miners just get eaten by grizzly bears or something.
@@jacobgoodstone7572 Meanwhile, at the Hoffman's camp.
Thank you for the shout out, much appreciated! Build is great too by the way.
The tank contains a highly corrosive acid. The pipes go down to each level of the mines where there is a spigot, attached to which is what Is essentially an acid fire extinguisher used for killing the giant spiders that occasionally find their way into the mines from connected cave systems.
Love the work, I’m an official fan boy. I’d love to see more of your imaginations come to life.
Would make a good outpost from the " Firefly "/ " Serenity " verse.
Just came to say the same thing.
Same here.. was also getting a kind of Trigun vibe too
it was the guitar for me that made me remember that gem.
The end music definitely gives it that feeling.
Would be awesome if he made a Firefly diorama
I love the aesthetic of this Diorama. Space westerns hold a special place in my heart.
I usually wash the plastic model part s in Dawn Ultra dish detergent. Really cleans the slippery mold release from the parts leaving them squeaky clean. Also helps the paint adhere better. Love your builds!
Watching this in the canteen at work, And you just know everyone is digging the husky Midwest voiceover!!
👍✨
Great build
I feel so calmed watching you making these like asmr
Man, even before priming the landscape it looked awesome
thank you for making videos i know you will most likely not see it but your videos are very calming and ure officially my new youtube safespace that i recommend everyone
Loving this series. And I'm watching it backwards for some reason.
Very cool! Its so tiny. I think they are called “barrel loops”
You sure get a lot of mileage out of that plastic grid canvass. Fascinating what you can make with that stuff.
Very Brave Starr/ Trigun/Firefly feel, LOVE IT
Every time it just looks so real
Thank you Canadian Government for allowing me to enjoy a Kinder Surprise egg! Great work, love the imaginative genre!
So glad this was recommended for me. And you nailed it with the Kinder Eggs thing.
Amazing as always. Almost every one of your builds makes me think of how much fun I would have lighting and filming your dios. They are always very well composed.
Thanks so much! I look at all your dioramas and think the same thing.
Magnifique !!!
I love every single thing about this
Really love watching yr builds and the law behind it all.
This is very pleasingly ramshackle, and I love it.
After watching entire wild west build, i am here, and i realised there is no antennaaaaaa 😂❤️. Awesome build
You 'call it good', we call it incredible.
Since I watched one vid i'm hooked , I love this wild west world you created
Nice!
Gives me a bit of a Firefly vibe.
The tank is for gold leaching. I often sit back in my chair and watch you build. Shame about Kinda eggs, we have them but they tend not to have kits any more.

bud this is so close to the Warhammer aesthetic. Nicely done!
That’s insanely beautiful
Tank's for Moonshine obviously! ;-)
Awesome build. I wish I had this kind of patience.
This was ridiculously cool!
Fricken epic build dude. Excellent use of random pieces.
That informative bit about the kinder toys with your monotone voice was pretty funny
The tank is obviously for the beer, c'mon!
wow, what an amazing result
Amazing work
Awesome. I had no idea kinder eggs were illegal in the US. They're very popular here in Canada
I work at a museum in what used to be a mining town.

So maybe that's what your vat of "mining liquid" is in this diorama.
This has to be one of the best alternate Universes ever imagined, or lived in.
Cool build, reminds me a lot of firefly.
This is so good!
EXCELLENT!
I'm from Europe, and trust me... Kinder Surprise is a plague of death and devastation. You're so lucky.

Loved the story around this!
Muito bom. Espetacular, fantástico. Que criatividade.
The metal bands of a barrel are rungs. This is my favorite chanel at the moment!
When you mentioned Pinkertons it brought back some memories. I use to work for a international computer company and one of our contracts was Pinkertons. Thanks for the diorama. I love the back story.
one of those times we need a double thumbs up button. gonna go watch some Firefly.
Wow, great use of the gold miners, looks amazing as always. Thanks.
Love it!! And also the Kinder Joy Egg story in the US. Here in Austria they still are legal and called Kinder Überraschungsei 😅
Strong Firefly Vibes. Love this man!
Heeeeyyy another fellow Coloradan I’ve lived here my whole life and I can say it feels great to know someone else out there has a connection to those mines and loves the historical feel and look to them. I love your work man keep it up maybe we’ll run into each other one day lol
Love your off the wall dioramas.
The music at the end is reminiscent of the firefly verse. Great series
My favourite so far! Nice!
Loving the creativity
„Kinderüberraschung“ is great! It should be worth to die for😉😂.
Die guten Ü-Eier 🤣

I have really enjoyed your futuristic wildwest videos - very interesting to blend these two milieus together!
Wow, I know I say this a lot about your builds, but your "scratch" build ideas are just amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic!

I mean the kids could just shoot the fake milk with their guns. Problem solved.
When I first subscribed it was for your Star Wars themed builds.. But now I find myself with post notifications on and watching every video you upload almost as soon as it's released! Keep up the awesome work!
Can confirm that the steel hoops used to cinch barrels are called, unsurprisingly, hoops.

Getting some strong Fallout: New Vegas vibes, super cool.
The Astronaut: to infinity and beyond
That cowboy: there's a snake in my boot!
The tank at 5:10 could be for water. Steam power was a thing and many mines used steam engines for pumping water out of flooded sections of the mine and they could also use it to power stuff as well.
Honestly the best vibes of any of the miniature creators I follow!
This is good. I mean...really really good. It hit me at the end - Firefly! You gotta do a Firefly/Serenity inspired build!
Excellent scratch-building!
Dude! That's frickin' sweet!
(What a New West California gold miner might say) 😉
This would probably be really difficult but would be cool as hell too see. Palpatine and Windu when Windu is deflecting the lighting back at Palpatine in revenge of the Sith.
Amazing, speechless... WOwww...
Wow, this turned out really well!
The tank is for mercury. It is often used in gold mining. The light houses in California used to use mercury in bearings but it was always being stolen and used for gold extraction.
Great character contrast! And I also like the you built it more vertically than horizontally.
All of your videos are fascinating as hell!! Please keep making more
I get a Outer Wilds vibe with the backstory.
Pretty cool.
Thanks again for another great build. My son wants to be a filmmaker and your creativity reminds me of his, in that your dioramas tell a story.

Keep up the good work!
I was getting Borderlands vibes from this before you said anything about it. I'd say you achieved the look very well!
Wow. This is awesome.
That is Awesome!💥😁👍🏿
I'm honestly very surprised you didn't hollow out some of the foam for the mine but hey it still looks scarily awesome!!!!
the music has got some real moneyball vibes. i love it
The WIW vids are quickly becoming some of my favorite content on YT
Love your commentary. 😆 The art work is pretty good too. 😁
Greetings from Pueblo. Thoroughly enjoy the channel!
Loved the music too, great job
This is a really good model. I enjoy watching this kinda content form your RUclips channel.
