Fun fact: Tolkien’s inspiration for the dead marshes came from his time as a soldier in WWI. After a heavy rain, the craters in the field made by artillery shells would fill with water, and if there were any bodies in the crater they would float to just under the surface. Ok, so maybe not a fun fact, but maybe interesting? Beautiful build anyway!
@@MGMac_ He definitely went through a lot of suffering in WWI, and he accomplished some incredible literary works, but he was ultimately a deeply flawed man. Just, worth remembering the whole picture before praising wholesale.
This was really different and very cool, especially watching you make the elf from scratch. The swampy base looked perfect and that sculpt of Frodo was quite striking. A very fitting tribute to the film.
It turned out really great! The elf looks like he’s staring directly at Frodo. And the Lorean modeling gag got a belly laugh from me. One of my favorites of yours so far!
There’s no shortage of lotr diorama ideas for the future! I’d love to see more! West gate of Moria w/ the watcher Aragorn and Co. arriving at Minas Tirith Aragorn summoning the oathbreakers Caras Galadhon Bridge of Khazad-dûm Amon Hen part 3 Argonath Helms Deep/ Glittering caves The fellowship going past that one rock Frodo holding the ring above the fires And that’s not even counting and of the Silmarillion locations!
This is the scene in the film that actually freaked me out. The sleep paralysis feeling I got from watching Frodo unable to look away really resonated with me because I often had sleep paralysis as a teen. I didn’t see a dead elf though, I would see the Beverly hillbillies grandma in a rocking chair in my room. I would have rather seen the elf haha. Your face sculpt of the deceased elf is dead on, pun intended. His hair is glorious I don’t blame Lorean Paris for hiring him. I bet the layer of sand helped the foliage stick really well so not a total loss
This was in my opinion the creepiest scene in the 2nd movie. The part when Frodo was staring at the corpse underwater. Seeing that white pale dead elf still kinda creeps me out. Great diorama btw!
Your videos have helped me with my depression. Thank you so much. The way you talk sounds genuine and you seem like a cool dude. I appreciate you a lot.
Jeez man, you are better than you give yourself credit for. I’ve fallen out of modeling for awhile and your videos are inspiring me to sit back at my table. Thank you.
Definitely one of my favorite parts of the movie, when Frodo falls into the swamp. You brought the scene leading up to that out perfectly. Amazing job, as always. 👍
I’ve just finished marathoning the 3 Hobbit and 3 LOTR movies (extended editions). This scene has long stuck in my mind. I’m so thrilled you chose this very moment to memorialize. Your skills at modeling and painting are impressive, to say the least. As a fan of The Hobbit and LOTR for 40-50 years and a fan of the movies for, now, 20 years, I love this.
Always been a FAN OF TOLKIEN! I been A collector so to speak sense I was a kid! LONG AGO! I have every Lego Set they made from the movies! Never Opened! And a HOLE collection of books and collectables! THIS WAS AN AMAZING BUILD! SAVED IT! LOVE THESE! more LOTR PLEASE!!
I’ve spent the last three days binge watching the extended editions of the LOTR trilogy, this video was a perfect addition to my playlist. Amazing work, as always.
We need more creepy dioramas. And man, your resin game is on point. I feel so intimidated by resin. I have seen how easily it can go wrong in other projects. Yours turned out awesome.
Hilarious I love the personality that you being it’s what makes you, you. And you are great so thank you for sharing, thank you for your time and thank you for your creation, truly.
Really good job on Frodo's face! And I do like the glowing eyes. Also, good save on the imperfections in the resin. It seems so much of being good at a skill is knowing how to save the work you have already done and not have to redo it.
Nicely done, the Frodo figure is especially nice, the face really looks like Elijah Wood. I am always amazed at how real and natural your dioramas turn out.
What an amazing diorama, Lord Of The Rings is an amazing series. I am just learning how to build dioramas, I am watching all your videos to learn more.
I love these resin sculptures and the cool western art projects you make!! Its so entertaining and its always so cool to see the end result! I found your channel two weeks ago and i love getting back to your videos

Love watching your videos, always enjoy seeing your diorama creations. I mainly like your star wars creations. You should make some more lord of the rings creations
I love the little details you add, like water/dirt on Frodo's feet. And all the effort put into the elf even though you can't see him fully that well in the end. Awesome work as usual.
I stumbled upon your videos yesterday and I've been enjoying binging them into the early hours of the morning. Always been a modelling fan myself as for some reason it always felt natural doing it, but watching the elven armor has made it clear why I like it so much: it's going the extra mile to get a better result. You gave it a full body armour yet only the top was visible, why bother? Because just in case it's visible, I know I got it covered. This is a practice I do in my everyday life with almost everything: go the extra mile just in case you need that bit of extra oomph and if not, you know you went above and beyond. Funny how sometimes a light switches on in the brain and makes you connect things together!
I for one happen to love the elf-loaf armor.
Leaf-like, loaf-like, same difference
What. BOTH of my hero’s??
Eloafen armor
I really look forward to each video that all you guys put out!

ΟΚ. That was amazing. I really like LOTR and this diorama is an amazing tribute . 👍👍👍
The part where the hair was blowing in the wind still has me laughing. Hilarious. Well done as always buddy.
"Loréan" 😂

Jeez, only just realised the Lothlorien joke.
What paints did he use to paint Frodo, was it acrylic???

That Kylo aren’t joke just earned this man my subscription. Congratulations on the diorama.
The illusion of depth in the water is fantastic, it feels so spooky!
You did an amazing job recreating this scene, and 20 years? wow, where does time go to?!

So good! The light in the eyes is such a nice subtle detail. That hair commercial got me good.
I think the elf armor looks fantastic, and hey-even if you think it looks like bread, bread is natural too!

Incredible. You're diorama really captures that feel from the scene. LOTR is still an impactful trilogy, today.
