- I had no idea the Ka'au Crater existed. It's a gem. Unmaintained and dangerous. Hike at your own risk and please be careful. Also can someone let me know if the trail was actually gone. I'll be back...

How much time did it take you right before the crater loop and what month did you do this hike?

@@minkc11 I'm not sure how long. maybe like 2 1/2 hours and I think I hiked it in February
