Hey bud, for LC you need to have the car in Sport+ and gear selector to the left and in S1. The car will not initiate LC in M1.

If you get one brother make sure it's a Gen 2 B58 (M240, M340, or even 6 port Supra). Just my opinion
Are they a lot different? Im just looking to get into the platform, even looking at the new 440i but im trying to avoid that cause id have to finance it...
@franomaster1234 yes, they differ. 2 door or 4 door obviously but M340I or M240I come with Lsd, better cooling, Better high pressure fuel pump with other things as well. Just do your research brother and you'll be fine

Not every m340 has lsd. If you can find a 340i or 440i that arguably has one of bmw best looking chassis and upgrade the hpfp you’re good. I’m stage 2 340i rn with catless dp and mppsk. Pushing about 460 rn. It is fast!

if you appreciate good handling its not even a comparo,s55 any day
@@durin23 that’s true but I driven the S55 it’s too stiff for daily driving
@@Ishbanks I feel you, the f8x platform isn't the most comfortable for daily driving, but the overall driving experience is geared towards performance imo.
@@bimmerboyfederation3765 Definitely. The performance aspect always put a smile on my face. That’s why I’m torn between the two because with the F8x I’m sacrificing comfortability for performance, while with the B58 I can have comfortability & still have some fun.
I daily the F8x. It’s not bad, just gotta get decent tires. This car in particular hates cheap tires, so go for Michelin pilot 4s. The reliability is there. I’m running up on 115k miles on my S55 and just did the valve cover and spark plugs. Only thing that has failed for me was the oil cooler and that was possibly due to road debris. Extremely reliable car, and it sees 130mph almost daily.
