Even how and the timing of tax increments.
More and more strength, Wisdom like of Joseph when he was the Prime Minister of Egypt and concern to the executive in their deliberations. As we pray like Daniel.
Thanks Hon. Ichugwa and Prof. Ndungu strengthen yourselves until the nation is out of the hard times.

Ruto was part and parcel of the previous government for 10 goid years. As a matter of fact, Ruto was the guy running the government but Kimani has the audacity to play cheap politics about Ruto finding empty coffers when he took over the government!
Well, if Kimani’s thinking is what going to Alliance High School, a lot remains to be desired about this Economics student who does not seem to understand macro and micro Economics!
There is too much corruption in Kenya and Ishungua is part and percel if that draining of Kenya’s resources to the pockets of the few; his pockets being in line to receive the proceeds of corruption!

He suggested government should just put a minimum everyone in the informal sector needs to pay...a small amount but paid by millions is huge.

Kimani - a direct question to you specifically? Who is State capture? Ruto has been in Office for nearly two years now but you keep talking about state capture in Uhuru’s government.
A lot of corruption has taken place in the recent past, eg Senator Cherargei has accused CS Murkomen of shs 15 billion bribe from the Chinese, shs 17 billion oil embargo where Njeri has lost the money, etc!
Can you say that Ruto is the state capture of the modern day Kenya? Why does a man supposedly so educated in Economics keep talking about the past government like most myopic leaders do instead of focusing on the future of Kenya??
The lady journalist is asking very good questions and I don’t think she is trying to trap you! Just answer the questions so that Kenyans to understand how this Ruto government intends to do to fix what is broken in Kenya.

The worst enemy of Africa is not exploitation by wazungus, the worst exploitation is by wasteful leaders who are motivated by self-enrichment without thinking about what kind of a country their children and grandchildren will inherit from them. Surely any government facing social and economic problems to the level of kenya today should be more responsible in using the little money they earn. Kenya kwanza is spending lavishly and carelessly. They tell Kenyans to tighten belts but leaders don’t take austerity measures that would make the economy achieve sustainable development. Hon ichungwa is talking about the Breton-woods institutions as if they’re a solution to our problems. They’re the problem partly. When praised by these institutions is a reason to know that the economy is in a wrong trajectory. Indeed kenya will not get out of its economic mess unless the Kenya kwanza govt beefs up its economic management abilities by using its instruments appropriately

Hon Ichungwa should tell the people that even the 5 year first term for jubilee government was the time the current president was equally responsible for the mess that we see today. They ran away during their second term when they realized they had ditched the economy to a hole they cannot help themselves hence took refuge in criticizing their government as away of repositioning for a 2023 new administration. Can’t compare France to Kenya. Franch government is more responsible whereas the Kenyan kwanza government is deeply in corruption. In Kenya kwanza the value and justification of high taxes doesn’t exist. No services are provided . More than 60% of tax revenue goes to corruption and mismanagement of funds
