I am from Philadelphia where an especially beautiful day brought the feelings you express in this vlog. Now many years in LA where mostly every day is like that so most take no notice. We get excited when there is rain or clouds or some kind of weather besides sunny and beautiful!
Yeah, Perth weather is like that.
Love Melbourne! Especially St Kilda where I was 2 years ago in November with my bicycle. Wasn't too ready for the cool morning wind that was about 10-15 degrees C. But a cafe stop did help.

I am heading to Melbourne in a few weeks for the first time and I wanted to hire a bike somewhere and go for a bit of a spin. Those bike stations sounds like they would be right up my alley!

Used to have an annual subscription to the blue bikes. For a small fee they give you a key that you can use to hire the bikes as much as you like. I used to ride them to and from work everyday. Shame more people don't make use of them.

bike share bikes are a waste of space with the way they have implemented them. Go to Europe and have a drunk night out and the whole group would use them with coins
Spazamazz and no stupid mandatory helmet laws.
You'd still need to have a deposit though right? Drunken groups and bikes for coins equals wrecked or lost bikes more often than not ;)
In Melb last week I did notice all the city bikes in the locks. In NYC it actually gets hard sometimes to find a bike and there are lots of lockers. Must be the helmet issue...
Making people wear helmets that just wanna move around town in low speeds .... no wonder there are so many rental bikes on the racks, and that security deposit,,,,they will just rust waiting for someone to pay it.
