- As this first video in my new series on spell timing I'm explaining what the moon phases are, how they come to be and how you can use the moon phases in Witchcraft. So if you've ever wondered how to work moon magick - this video is for you! Working with the moon in Witchcraft is a very classic beginner topic. Every beginner witchcraft book includes a chapter on how to use the moon in magick. I hope with this video I will clear any confusion about what the moon phases even are and why witches work with them.

I work very closely with the moon phases & I also see the dark moon 🌚 as a very different energy to the new moon (first tiny crescent)
I use the dark moon energy to create strong protection oil, herb blends etc using baneful plants. Also for banishing, return to senders, bindings, etc. And connecting to dark goddesses/the underworld. Shadow work.
It is a really important time for my personal practice.
What I have concluded personally about the time in which you can do new moon or full moon workings. I look at the sign the moon is in. As long as it is in the same sign as the sun then that's New Moon time. And I do agree that I normally wait until the new moon has been exact before doing a ritual because I believe the energy of the balsamic moon is quite different from the new moon. Likewise or full moon magic as long as the moon is in the sign opposite the sun we have the energy of the full moon. And indeed there is a difference between the waxing and waning side of the full moon

Very informative and easy to process video! I'm trying to connect to Slavic culture while practicing witchcraft and in pre-christianity Slavic culture the moon was really important, so it was very important to me to learn about it 🖤
Finally got around to watching this. Great video for beginners and it's always good to get a refresher for those longer on the path. As for things I might like too see, I love to hear your take on planetary hours.

Another great video. I never worked with the moon phases other than ocasionaly charging under a full moon. I might try to add more of it to my working but I'm really impatient and like doing things the moment the idea comes to mind
